((I figured it was time our Slytherins got properly introduced to one another. So feel free to drop in. ))

Down in the dungeon it was hard to determine the time of day and normally one could guess by the number of students mulling about but on this Saturday it appeared empty just the way Von liked it. She had almost perfected her song, by her calculations and guesses in another few days she'd be ready to work on the compliments and maybe try her hand at lyrics. So she plopped herself down in chair and adjusted the volume on her guitar and began to fill the empty room with music.

She didn't care if some were taking a nap or if others were trying to get their homework done, all she cared was that the room had good acoustics and the music called to her. She started with her song, loud and powerful then slipped into a few more common songs that were just as moving and loud. Sure she botched a few notes here and there but unless one knew the song they just thought it was played that way. The songs converged into a massive melody combining different parts of the songs into one strange collaboration.

((Feel free to come in at anytime during this hodge podge. <3 ))

Dorian had been absorbed in one of his mystery books when the sound of a guitar being played caught his attention. He wrinkled his brow trying to think of who in the Slytherin House would be playing a guitar. It seemed like most of them were too lazy to pick up such a hobby.

Now curious to see who it was, Dorian put a bookmark in his book and laid it on top of his trunk. He ambled towards the common room and peered in from the boy's dorm. He was surprised to see a red haired girl sitting and plucking away at the guitar strings. The song wasn't one he could place; but that was pretty normal as Dorian didn't listen to much popular music.

Dorian eyed her a little more closely for a moment, then went back and grabbed his book. Why not read and enjoy the music at the same time? He doubted she'd be disturbed as he wasn't making any noise by reading and the common room was open to all. He settled down on one of the long couches and presently started humming along with the guitar as he read his book.

Attor about hit the canopy over his bed as the guitar music flooded the entire Slytherin dorm area. At first he was very angry till he realized what time it was. He had meant to sleep in today, but not by that much. He got himself up and ready before moving to the common room he looked some what like a zombie between nightmares, heavy thoughts, and sleeping in to late he felt a mess. And shot a nasty glare at Von as he entered the room even if he wasn't angry he still felt she deserved it.

Attor crossed the room before flopping on the couch opposite of the side Dorian was sitting on. Dorian was not one he had seen much since they're first encounter he was pretty sure Dorian might be avoiding him.

Attor starred at Von as she played he didn't have much else to do and he wasn't awake enough to think at the moment. There was even a semi loud thud and he seemed to faint from a sitting position to a pile of nothing in the couch cushions.

"Morning you two...." Attor mumbled while rubbing the sleep out of his eyes..."Afternoon I mean."

Quillan was under the same impression as Attor, at first. His eyes wearily blinked open and he was in quite a sour mood. But instead of getting up from a bed, like Attor, Quillan rolled out from under the couch that Dorian was reading at. As he rolled, he narrowly missed Dorian's legs. "Afternoon," He announced, lazily rolling onto his bum, sitting cross-legged in a daze. The anger and resentment he held towards Von for waking him up quickly vanished and he was left, sitting crookedly on the floor near Dorian's feet. Whether or not the boy was surprised, Quillan took no notice of.

"'Tis a good song," He observed, shifting his weight from cheek to cheek. As Quill glanced around, he couldn't help but let out a huge yawn. On the couch, there was Dorian, a girl who Quillan didn't know was playing the guitar, and another boy, who Quillan also didn't know, was standing around, rubbing his eyes. Obviously, because of all the people, classes were out already. Now... what had he missed? Wait... were their any classes? No matter, things seemed alright now. The afternoon sun was blazing through the windows, the birds were cherping...

Those silly things! Quillan realized, a frown now plastered on his face. They were singing out of tune to the song! He was half tempted to pull out his song and ruffle their feathers--that'd teach them to screw with a good melody! However, he stayed put. Using any magic would attract too much attention, and Quill was sure, he was in for another detention for skipping classes. It was just a matter of the teachers catching him to give him one now.

Von halted playing and opened her eyes when voices intruded in her song. It took her a moment to realize that three boys had entered the commons while she was playing. Raising her left eyebrow at their supposed morning greeting then smiled. Her smile seemed more like a sneer if one just glanced at it. " Afternoon. Late night last night" She snickered and nodded to the quiet one reading,at least he had enough sense to just enjoy the music instead of interrupt it. " What book are ya reading?"

Dorian felt the couch shift when Attor had sat down but didn't look up from his book. If he had he might have made a run for it. He had encountered Attor before and had been a bit scared of him because he was so forward and intense. He continued reading his Sherlock Holmes mystery, totally absorbed in it.

He didn't even notice Quillan slide from under the couch, though that would have just caused him to laugh. His ears didn't even register the sounds of the two boy's voices as he read. It's not as though he would have spoken if he had heard them, it would have only caused him to lose his place in his book.

When the guitar playing suddenly halted, Dorian looked up from his book with a slight frown on his face. Why had she stopped? Surely his presence wasn't bothering her. It was then that Dorian noticed the other two boys in the room. He scowled slightly, annoyed that they had bugged the playing girl and made her stop playing. "Sherlock Holmes and the Hounds of the Baskervilles," He answered. "What was that you were playing?"

Quillan wearily looked between Vonali and Dorian. Almost immediately, from their gazes, he felt like he'd done something wrong--however, it's not like Quillan hadn't ever felt like THAT before, so he yawned it off. "Is it meal time yet?" He inquired lazily, pushing himself off the ground and onto the couch where Dorian was sitting. In a give-me-attention sort of manner, he slung his arm around Dorian's shoulders casually, like it was most natural thing in the world. He was sure he'd get a kick out of it eventually.

Over to the side, he saw Attor. Quillan had heard some stories about the boy but had never actually gotten the chance to have a one on one conversation with him. It didn't make any difference to him, though, Attor seemed like the uptight type--just like 'lil 'ol Dorian, except he didn't have the most hilarious twitching-eyebrow syndrome. Either way, since Quillan was planted right between them, he threw his shoulder around Attor's shoulder, just for good measures.

Then, expectantly, he glanced at Vonali. "Care to join? I think you can fit on my lap." Now, that he would probably get a kick out of rather soon--most likely from Vonali's petite little foot.

"A bit of a late one actually, stayed up reading a new book my mother sent me. Good read on the soubject D.A.D.A." Attor doubted that she cared, but he was to sleepy to notice if she didn't. His eyes rolled to the floor as something moved and Attor jumped a bit moving his feet onto the couch in fear of some strange castle creature, even though it was closer to Dorian. "What in bloody Hell where you under the couch for?" Attor directed to Quillian a little more a wake then before. Attor put his feet back down still staring at Quillian. "That seems more something a Hufflepuff would do, honestly...."

Attor's eyes then drifted to Dorian, he had heard of those muggle book series and was guilty of reading the particular one in Dorian's hand. "Interesting read for a muggle book I've got to say." Attor seemed to have distaste in his mouth over the word muggle, but by now everyone knew how he felt about them.

Von raised her eyebrows at the unknown book title but shrugged as she replied." Just some class work I spliced together." She would have asked about the book then but Quill spoke up next. Her eyes roamed over his face trying to place his name but came up with nothing. " You missed breakfast but lunch should be coming about soon enough." The guy seemed weird though at his offer she knew he was, but she raised an eyebrow and shook her head. "You seem to have your hands full as it is." The last male seemed to have the hardest time waking at it wasn't until the second one was on the couch that he seemed to awaken. But as he spoke she could tell he didn't care for muggle things and Hufflepuffs so she made a note to keep Marc far from this guy. But since he'd moved her attention back to male one she looked at him and questioned. " Oh it's a muggle book. That explains why I hadn't heard of it. What's it about?" She continued to lean on the guitar as she spoke with these guys. They didn't seem all that different then girls and she had no clue what Vi saw in them.

Dorian turned to eye Quill with a baleful glance, and then moved from under his arm. He didn't hate the kid, but he knew from experience that bad things tended to happen when he was around. Not to mention the fact that he always seemed to make Dorian lose control of himself.

"Keep your hands to yourself." Dorian told Quill with an annoyed tone and flipped his book closed.

Dorian went silent listening to Attor, not wanting to interrupt. A smile twitched at the corners of his mouth remembering how freaked out Attor had been when Quill had appeared from under the couch. At least Quill was good for something. It seemed strange that Attor's remark about it being a Hufflepuff habit kind of annoyed him.

Dorian frowned slightly at Attor's mealy mouthed comment about the book he had been reading. "Sir Arthur Conan Doyle is and will always be one of the best mystery writers of this era, muggle born or not." Dorian retorted with an annoyed look on his face. "What does it matter if he was muggle or not? It's the content of the book and how it's written that counts."

Dorian was already slightly fuming at Attor's high and mighty attitude and nearly missed Von's reply to his question. He turned back to look at her for a moment, and formulate a reply. "It was pretty good for a class song." He told her admiringly.

"It's about this Detective Sherlock Holmes that solves cases. In this book he's trying to prove that a family curse doesn't exist and who or what the Hound really is that killed Charles Baskerville. Sherlock's a very astute and observant man and that's how he solves cases. I'm probably making it sound completely boring, if you read it I bet you'd like it."

Quillan grinned like a bandit at Von's response. From that moment, he knew that he would come to enjoy the presence of this girl. Heck, he had half expected her to bite off his head or something outrageous. In fact, Quillan had been preparing for that very thing. For it to not come... it was a bit disappointing, but quite a relief at the same time. This meant he found another Slytherin to buddy up with--since Dorian wasn't always the most... willing, of participants. Thus, Quillan beamed at her happily.

That is, until Dorian rejected his friendship. Immediately, his smile turned upside-down. "Aw, your loss." He reluctantly pulled his arm off of Dorian's shoulder, letting it fall near his side.

However, the next thing said in the room caused Quillan to narrow his eyes at Attor. "A Hufflepuff thing to do?" Quillan mused softly to himself, letting the conversation run off on the topics of books. Dorian had been reading Sir Arthur Connan Doyle; he recognized the author because his father owned some Muggle books--as well as a Muggle-TV where some Sherlock Holmes mysteries were played. Soon after Attor spoke again, Quillan frowned. "Muggle..." He mused again.

"It sounds like you're just a big bigot, Attor. And I had heard you were quite scary, to be honest." Quillan announced, looking at the boy who was under his shoulder. "In fact, you have quite the baby face, you know that?" His pale hands reached towards Attor's face, ready to pull at his chubby little cheeks if given the chance. "'Tis a bit of a shame..."

Remembering what had been said earlier in the conversation, Quillan whipped around to face the other two. "And no, you're dead on, Dorian. And not boring at all--Y'know if I agree about a book, it's somethin'." Quillan said off to the side, his attention back to Dorian and Von rather than Attor.

Oh Attor didn't like muggles for sure, but Hufflepuffs were safe he just thought them silly things. He very much enjoyed his secret time spent with Clover down by the lake and she was a Hufflepuff.

"I don't like muggles that's all. Not had good experiences with them otherwise I wouldn't care. But I read the book, which I normally don't touch things of muggles which in my view says I respect the literature in the very least." In Attor's mind it was a compliment but it most likely didn't sound like it. "I preferred "The Valley of Fear" " Attor added.

Attor looked back to Von. "I agree with Dorian, it was quite good even if it did wake me up." He said with a laugh completely relaxed and enjoying the company ignoring the fact that he could upset someone by his words.

Slowly Attor stood still looking some what composed as Quillian spoke , but the moment Qullian made a motion towards his face the side of his lip curled and soon the Attor other school mates feared surfaced like the rattlesnake the boy was. He had a horrible temper and the moment Quillian was done speaking Attor grabbed him by the shoulder spun him round. "WHO THE BLOODY HELL DO YOU THINK YOUR TALKING TO?!!!!!" Attor yelled gabbing him by his shirt then planting a hard and heavy left hook into the side of Quillian's face. Attor would teach this boy he wasn't to be messed with.

Next thing Quillan knew, he was being twirled around and something hit his face. A bit dazed, he grabbed the cheek that was hit as he recoiled. It didn't take him very long to realize what had happened--Attor was making a bloody scene about it, shrieking like a banshee. Almost immediately, Quillan's usual zeal and enthusiasm left him. His eyes narrowed at Attor, surprisingly calm for what had just happened. Then, he promptly wadded up some spit inside his mouth and spat a loogy, aimed to be right on the boy's face.

Almost immediately after he did, Quillan hopped off the chair so he was standing well above Attor. "I knew very well who I was talking to, Attor. And frankly, I don't see a reason to respect an immature git like yourself who has to resort to throwing fists and screaming like a babe." Especially not now.

Quillan knew he probably overstepped when he spat on Attor's face--he knew full well that it wasn't the most logical thing to do. All it would do was escalate the conflict. He was also quite aware of the fact that his response wouldn't douse the fire either, in fact, Quillan was looking forward to what Attor was planning on doing. So much, that he even egged him on. "Was that all you got, oh-high-and-mighty Attor, the "respectable" young master of Pendragon? Well--la-te-da."

Just for the fun of it, Quillan began to strut around the room in an exaggerated servant manner, even daring to mock-bow at Attor, "Should I kiss your feet--or maybe the ground that you walked on? Would that make the wittle Attor stop his tantrummm?"
PostPosted: Sun Apr 03, 2011 9:02 pm

Attor wipped the spit from his eyes . "Your the one startin things here, I never said anything to draw that reply out of you frog mouth." Attor simply growled rage growing in his eyes. He stalked after Quillian seemingly not responding to Quillian's antics in a way.

Attor didn't take kindly to having someone pick on him, specially when he felt like he hadn't done anything near warranting this. More and more he just wanted to shut Quillian up and he only knew of one way to do that. Something he had learned where he lived and he was about to share with Quillian.

"You done yet?" Attor asked before faking a right jab, but aiming a left jab up into Quillian's gutt. Attor wasn't one for name calling and dancing around you wanted to start something with him it was throw a punch or just get punched.

Quillan had always been fast on his feet so when Attor went on the offensive, he was already prepared to dodge. However, he wasn't much of a fighter. Heck, he was good at throwing things and taunting people, but when it came down to dodging punches, he was as naive as any eleven year old should be. Thus, when Attor went for a jab, Quillan moved to dodge it, without even noticing his left hand going for his stomach. However, he was lucky. Quillan had managed to get out of the way of the fake right jab, jumping to the right so that the left jab flew past him, but it was close. Quill could feel the air brushing against him.

Daang, that was close! Quillan commented to himself--Attor, of course, didn't have to know that though. "Really? That's it?" He inquired with a mask of confidence on his face. With a smile on his face, Quillan swooped down and grabbed a pillow, using it to disguise the hard-cover book he picked up.

In one hopeful attempt, he rushed forward, using the pillow as a sort of guard. But ultimately, it served as a distraction. He threw it, using his momentum from the sudden run to send it flying towards Attor's head.Whether or not it hit, Quillan decreased the distance between him and Attor until he was in at an arm's length away. Then, he took the hard-cover book, making sure it would hit Attor flat so it wouldn't hurt him badly, and swung it. If it all worked out, the book would hit Attor on the side of his head and cause him to stumble some, if not knock him to the floor.
