Look around you.
The Medicine Cat's den isn't in a cavern of any type. It's on the large cliff but farther away from the water. The den looks protective against any storm. There are large, flat boulders around the den and acts as walls. Once you enter the small opening, you'll notice that the den is quiet large indeed. The room is in an oval shape. One side of the den contains many beddings for patients, while the other side contains only one nest for the medicine cat and small rock-like shelves that holds herbs.

"If gods the game that You're playing, well we must be more acquainted,"
[Oceanmist rushed around in the small den to get the man herbs in order. From marigold to raspberry leaves, to cobwebs, she grew tired. If medicine cats could sleep for moons without bother, that would make the light gray she-cat extremely happy. turning around, Oceanmist realized how messy the stock of horsetail was. Quickly, she began organizing the messy pile. And within a short amount of time, the pile went from a disaster, to a pile. sighing, Oceanmist plopped down on the hard ground and rested her eyes.] "Being a medicine cat is fun, but it has it's costs. Starclan, please help me through the hard times.." [She whispered softly, closing her sea green eyes. Pictures of her father flashed through her mind. Whenever she thought of him, she felt like a failure. She could have saved him. Her mother wouldn't let her. Did Starclan want that? Or was her mother plotting something. Taking a deep breath, she shrugged off the bitter memories and rested.]
"Because it must be so lonely, to be the only one who's holy."

Do gales of peace blow out the flames or spread them faster on their way? GriffonseaFemale | Warrior | Single | Bio | Storyteller Lost and foundforsake me nowor let me return home![Griffonsea peeked into the medicine cat den meekly, blinking into the hazy darkness.] "Oceanmiiiist," she called, "I've got a thorn in my paaaw!" [Griffonsea was notorious for her injuries. She was often so excited that she hurt herself and was a frequent visitor in the den. Her obsession with not falling ill ever also made her a bit paranoid, and she often visited the den with fears that she might be falling ill when she clearly wasn't. Thus, she had become acquainted with Oceanmist pretty quickly when she first arrived in the Clans, and had visited often ever since.]
"My paw's bleeding really badly!" she exclaimed, wide-eyed. "D'y'think I'll bleed to death?!" I want to stay freeso bring to methe endless spray of foam!Perhaps I'll defeat your fiery flames or lose myself among the fray.

"If gods the game that You're playing, well we must be more acquainted,"
[Hearing a loud mew echo in her den, Oceanmist squeaked slightly and jumped to her paws, only to see that Griffonsea had a thrown in her paw.Taking a deep breath, the medicine cat felt her heart beat return to her chest from her ears.] "A thorn? Exactly what did you do to get a thorn stuck in your paw." [Oceanmist said calmly, gathering the necessary herbs in order to heal the warrior's wound. Marigold, chervil, and a few cobwebs.] "Okay, I'm going to need to tug this out, so be prepared for a bit of pain. I'll try to do this quickly." [She said softly, placing her thorn firmly between her jaws. The medicine cat counted to three mentally, and tugged the thorn free from Griffonsea's paw. It was out. Small amounts of blood emerged from the wound. Taking a cobweb, Oceanmist placed one on the bleeding paw to soak up the blood. Once most of the blood had been soaked up, Oceanmist grabbed a piece of moss, and took it to the small pool of water in her den, and soaked the moss.] "Alright, I just need to wash the wound, and then I'll apply the other stuff." [She told the warrior, washing the wound with the moss. Throwing the moss onto the ground, Oceanmist picked up the chervil, and chewed the herb into the pulp, along with the marigold. Once the two pulps were mixed, Oceanmist dabbed the poultice onto the warriors paw.] "Wella, your paw has been de-thornified. i'm going to need you to keep the action to a minimum for at least three sunrises(days) so your paw can heal. Also, I will need you to come back every day for the next three days, so I can continues to clean the wound so it does not get infected." [She said softly, smiling at the warrior.]

"Thanks, Oceanmist. But does this mean I can't hunt?" [She blinked at the cat with disappointment glimmering in her pretty blue eyes. She loved to hunt for her Clan! She could handle not playing too roughly anymore, but not hunting...?! She would be a burden to her Clan!]

"If gods the game that You're playing, well we must be more acquainted,"
Oceanmist nodded her head, as Griffonsea asked if she would not be able to hunt. What a silly question!]"Well duh, of course you can't go hunting! Not for the first two days. On the third day I'll allow you to, but keep you paw at rest. Not unless you want an infection. Then You'll be here for moons." [She said softly, slightly giggling. Griffonsea was quite an interesting character. Laying back down, the sleek gray she-cat began to dive deep into thought. Of exotic techniques of how to heal, and how to possibly contact her father in Starclan. If he was there.]
[[Random time skip]]
[Oceanmist rushed as she organized the medical herbs in her den. Everything was messy, but at least the warm and cozy weather calmed her, in a way. Greenleaf was an amazing time to collect herbs. So many of the herbs she needed grew in the season. Leafbare was harsh, though. Every cat knew that. Even the youngest of kits. While going through her herbs, she was still thinking of something. It had been bothering her for a long time. That flash flood. She was quite desperate to speak to Starclan of the event. It nagged at her heart. Her mind was consumed with the memories of what had happened. Most of her herb storage had been destroyed, but it was quickly replaced with new herbs. Fresh, new, and wonderful herbs.]

[Oceanmist was quietly sleeping in her bed, with the occasional snore. Then all of a sudden, she felt water surrounding her and wetting her sleek pelt. Waking up from her dreams, she found herself in a giant pool of water, and even more water flowing in. Panicking, Oceanmist grabbed all the herbs she could, and ran out, her heart racing with every pawstep.]"What in Starclan is going on?!" [She murmured, with her mouth filled with herbs.]
[[ time skip]]
[Rummaging through the herbs, Oceanmist began salvaging what seemed in good shaped after the water damage. Her den was still damp and wet, but she'd manage. As she searched for herbs in the pile of soggy flowers and stems, she sighed. Starclan had given her no warning of the flash flood. What would she do?]

"If gods the game that You're playing, well we must be more acquainted,"
[Oceanmist entered her den along with Dangerseer, gesturing for the she-cat to take a seat as she took one herself.] "Why do I feel as if we're both concerned over the same thing?" [she asked the warrior. Oceanmist felt slightly relieved that she wasn't alone in her feeling towards Sky. Unless Dangerseer wasn't concerned by Sky's presence. For all the medicine cat knew, Dangerseer could be concerned for her kit.]"She wouldn't be concerned over Lostpaw's health. He's fine health wise, I would know."[she reminded herself, trying to keep herself from drifting off the topic of Sky.]
"I am concerned as well, if Sky is what's on your mind." [Oceanmist had finally admitted her weariness of Sky's presence in the clan. It was as if a big weight had been lifted off of her shoulder. She didn't even have to go to anyone first. Dangerseer came to her. The she-cat, however, began to feel insecure about her assumption of what was on the warrior's mind.] "Or does your concern have nothing to do with Sky? It doesn't matter whether it is or not. I'm always open to talk to a clanmate in need."

Dangerseer Seaclan | Warrior “To find yourself, think for yourself.” Dangerseer followed Oceanmist into the Medicine Cat's den. She'd been here any times with Lostpaw as a kit and was familiar with the ovular den and settled across from Oceanmist, glad to confide her fears in another cat. "Sky is indeed my concern," Dangerseer admitted. The tip of the grey queen's tail flicked as she thought about the stranger in their midst.
Dangerseer could see as though a great weight had been lifted from her friend's shoulders. She wrapped her flicking tail around her paws to still the agitated movement and forced herself to still as she always did when under stress. Dangerseer had always been wary of things and Sky was no exception, in fact, his presence and arrival had caused a disturbance within the Clan. "Oceanmist, I don't know exactly what StarClan told you, but I know Sky's presence has upset the Clan. I'm worried about what's going to happen. With Sky or with the other Clans." Dangerseer paused and looked away from Oceanmist, her tail tip flicking again. She dearly wanted to ask Oceanmist something more, but she wasn't sure if it would be beyond her station to ask.

[Oceanmist let out a sigh of relief as Dangerser confirmed that she was weary of Sky's presence. The medicine cat had no idea whether the rest of the clan was weary of Sky as well, but she trusted Dangerseer's judgement.] "I'm sorry I can't give you full details regarding what Starclan told me. I haven't spoken about this with Shiftstar yet, I wonder if she is concerned by Sky as well." [the she-cat told her fellow clanmate.]I'm still deciding whether to judge Sky or not because I've never formally talked with him. It's tough being shy, believe me. I do trust you though, when you say that he's caused a disturbance."[Oceanmist had not only confided in Dangerseer her concerns with Sky. She had also just told the warrior of her shyness. Most see the medicine cat as calm and kept. It's truly just her anxiety of talking to strangers or large crowds that make her appear to be calm and kept.]
"Anywho, I'll tell you now that Starclan said that strangers aren't always such a good thing."[she said, finally getting around to giving Dangerseer a small detail of her chat with Starclan, and a reason to be cautious around Sky.] "I hate to judge, but I can't help but think that Starclan is trying to warn me about Sky. Maybe I should try to speak with him. Figure out what he's like, observe how he acts and what he does."

Dangerseer Seaclan | Warrior “To find yourself, think for yourself.” Dangerseer knew many of the cats were wary of Sky and his arrival around the time of the earthquake. Cats outside of clans were never trusted in the beginning and Sky was even less well received than most. It surprised Dangerseer that Oceanmist had yet to tell Shiftstar about what StarClan had told she grey Medicine Cat.
"I reserve judgement on Sky, for now, but I still don't trust him," Dangerseer said seriously. The warrior flicked her ears in surprise at Oceanmist stating that she was shy. She had always thought of the Medicine Cat as calm and quiet, level head if not a little reserved. She didn't come off as shy. Most shy cats did all they could to avoid social gatherings and tended to be socially awkward, but not Oceanmist. "Thank you, Oceanmist, for trusting me enough to tell me," Dangerseer said sincerely. She purred faintly at Oceanmist and continued, "You don't seem like you're shy; you have a quiet dignity about you." A compliment from Dangerseer was are. The warrior she-cat focused almost entirely on her warrior duties, her kits, and the practical things in life, a compliment from her was a big deal.
Dangerseer blinked in surprise as Oceanmist went on to tell her part of what StarClan had said. It was an honor to be told this, not because it was from StarClan, but because it was from Oceanmist and she'd been told even before Shiftstar was. "Oceanmist, I'm touched that you trust me enough to tell me this," Dangerseer whispered. "I know I think of you like a sister and I won't betray your trust." She continued in a stronger voice, "I can speak with Sky for you if you like. I reserve judgement regarding him, for now at least."
