This Black Ice egg was received by Pika-bunny on November 25th, 2004:

About Black Ice Generally black ice is a thin sheet of clear ice or glaze, which is rather dark in appearance. Usually due to snow melting and re-freezing it is almost invisible, drivers fail to recognize black ice conditions and may drive at normal speeds-often resulting in very serious accidents. It is so dangerous for motorists, because, visually, the road appears wet, rather than icy. Under black ice conditions drivers should be prepared to expect little to no traction, little to no braking capability, extremely poor directional control, and the high possibility of skids. Best thing to do is to stay off the road if possible.
"Please human girl I beseech you, take this small egg and protect it, for it is all alone in the world as am I. It came too early to the Wethkin of fall and must be kept cold till winter comes in full."
Peering down, the girl saw a small purple egg, translucent and shining. Gently she took it in a gloved hand and placed it in a soft pocket.
"Do not worry nymphling," the girl said soothingly.
"I shall protect this egg till the ground is coated with ice and it can hatch into the winter weather. Your rescue will not be in vain."
The nymphchild saddly smiled then, floated over to the girl and passed through her face. Startled, the girl whipped around but the nymph was no where to be seen. Only a puff of cold air betrayed its passing.
Care of egg:
Keep it cold as possible until it hatches.
It should hatch in 5-10 days.
Update: Hatched December 4th, 2004!

It all started one night in late fall...
**a mysterious form approaches out of the darkness**
I wonder what it is?

While running down a dark hallway the young boy Renault heard a strange and eerie sound, **woowoo**
"Woah! Who's there?!" Renault exclaimed.
He began to back away from the noise, and as he did, he accidentally bumped into the light switch. **Click** The light turned on startling Ren a bit. As the light flooded the hallway he saw the spirit floating away into the darkness.
"Hey wait up!" Ren called. He went after the disappearing form. When he got closer, his eyes adjusted to the dark and saw the spirit immediately infront of him. It looked lonely and forlorn. Slowly Renault got closer and reached out to touch her. She was weeping and as the tears fell from her face, they faded to never hit the ground.
"Hey it's going to be ok" said Renault. He then asked her to come with him but the shy spirit just kept crying.

The small figure was enshrouded in darkness as it floated through the air weeping. A boy heard it crying and reached out to investigate but as his hand reached for it, his hand passed right through its body.
All he felt was freezing cold air where it's body should have been.
The figure began to sob harder. Despite the boy's pleas not to cry she never responded.
Floating down the hall way the mysterious figure passed out through the wall and into the dark forest.

As Ren ran after the ghost into the dark forest, he saw other spirits. He wasn't scared...just a little frightened. 'Woah there's more of them' he thought; But Ren noticed something different. They were smaller, and looked like they were having fun unlike the other one.
He ran after her through the spirits in his way. So focused he was on her fleeing form he barely noticed the other sprites watching him pass.
Catching up to the ghost, he saw her under a tree. It looked as if she was very depressed.

The mysterious figure came to hover alone beneath the branches of a great oak. In the moonlight small creatures dipped and flitted on the cooling breeze.
Hearing a crack, the boy turned. Out of the darkness came another figure - a girl. She ducked toward the crying nymph and held a small glowing object up to its face. The boy tried to see what the glowing form was but it was glowing to brightly to tell.
The nymph looked into the magical light entranced, as tears ran down its cheeks. The boy leaned in closer to get a better view. Suddenly, the nymph darted off deeper into the forest, the girl followed.
Running now, she followed the nymphchild to a small vale. In the moonlight the nymph swooped down to alight on a delicate ivy vine coated in ice and frost. It gestured towards the base of the plant and spoke in a small voice that whispered like the breeze.

As he saw the girl approach the spirit he saw something at the base of the plant glowing. He went to go closer but felt as if something was guarding them; like a magical force. He ran to the girl as she came toward him and then stopped, standing as if she was frozen.
"What happened?" Ren asked.
The girl stood still and did not speak, as if she saw a ghost...

**Pika looked at the boy, with a strange expression on her face**
"I think...I think that crying sprite may have been a ghost," she said in a hushed voice, holding a hand to her face where the nymph had passed through.
"I should probably head to sleep soon but I will be back to check out this forest sometime, even though it's creepy.".
The girl Pika turned and slowly walked off through the trees. Soon she was gone from view, hidden by shadows and trees.

As he went to follow her he lost sight. he wondered if he was going to see her again.

Personality: She looks cute but is very sassy. Watch out cause she can be quite a prankster!
Likes: Winter, mirrors, darkness, ice and candy

Skills: Good at creating patches of ice when you least expect it...
