I'm 21 now ^^ it was a way fun birthday. My dad funded a trip to Mesquite with my friends Nem and Nanna. Drinking and gambling :p . I was very surprised that NO one carded any of us and Nem is not yet 21. I was all ready to pull out my ID like some sort of police badge :/ lol . Nanna had me wear a sash that said '21st Birthday Today' on the front then on the back it said 'Buy Me A Drink' Nanna wore blinking devil horns on her fedora Nem a halo, they were my conscience. It was really funny because any one Nem passed they would stop and be like 'I don't believe it!' because she was an angle in the casino ^o^ Me and Nem found a fish slot machine we really liked. And with my $20 winnings from $1 we spent it in the arcade. It was surprising to me that gambling felt like less of a waste of money. I guess it's because most of the prizes you had to spend your tickets on we carry where I work and I know damn well they are not worth that much. At least with gambling you have a chance (even if slim) to win something back.
Anyway that was my birthday ^^

i love going to casinos and playing the slots. i have no luck at all but i love seeing all the lights and hearing the noises XD

hiysinphlay Shanna66 i love going to casinos and playing the slots. i have no luck at all but i love seeing all the lights and hearing the noises XD Slots really were made for the ADHD weren't there? XD according to my doctor i only have ADD, not ADHD. im not sure if i really believe it or not but once i told him i didnt want the meds anymore i becamse a much happier person. hungry as hell though. the fact that i get distracted by simple things for such a long time doesnt help my case at all though XD

Congrats! That sounds so fun. I've never been a fan of Mesquite (my dad loves to golf there though) though I like Vegas. Probably because I don't much gamble. Hee hee! I just like the Tigers and fancy hotels and such in Vegas.

Kipluck Congrats! That sounds so fun. I've never been a fan of Mesquite (my dad loves to golf there though) though I like Vegas. Probably because I don't much gamble. Hee hee! I just like the Tigers and fancy hotels and such in Vegas. Yeah Vegas would be awesome! Unfortunately we don't have that kind of money. But Mesquite was fun nonetheless.

Sounds like you had a great birthday Hiysinphlay, congrats. smile I've never been able to cope with poker machines...even seeing a stranger pop a few coins in makes by hands curl around my wallet into fists of stingy stinginess. lol 'Money' and 'Chance' aren't things that I like to mix.
That being said, I would love to see Vegas someday. Would be epic.

I also would like to go to vegas one day as the others have said. I've been to Foxwoods and Mohegan Sun but it was waaaaay before I was 21 so I wasn't even allowed on the floor of the gambling parts =(

I've actually been drinking since I was 17, not a lot but a little here and there. But shh it's a secret! ninja lol I would actually LOVE to go to Canada some day, it's definitely on my to do list ^^

I try to think of gambling as more of something to spend money on to waste time similar to going to a movie, or bowling. It's just another activity you have to pay to do. I would never go in actually expecting to win big or anything. Vegas is awesome! I love it there, granted I've only been a few times even though it's only a 2hr drive from here.

Happy birthday! LOL I went to Atlantic City once ( I live something like a hour away, but have only been down there once ) but no one would let me go to the casinos. I was more that old enough, but my brother and my husband decided I was too drunk to go near even a slot machine! I WAS, believe me. LOL. I make myself sound like a lush with this story but it really was a once in a very long while thing for me to get messed up like that (I don't hardly touch the stuff anymore for health reasons) I kind of lost interest in getting falling down drunk by the time I hit legal drinking age, LOL.
