So I vaguely remember a thread about different sightings we may or may not be having throughout the year so I started up one for 2011. Post here for all your sightings that you have throughout the year if you are willing to and we can learn from eachother and stuff.

I haven't had any sightings in 2011 yet but I did have a vision in 2010 of a fae like creature.
I had made it a point to ask Bast (My primary personal Goddess) for some kind of vision before I went to bed. I have had so few spiritual experiences in my life that I wanted to at least give this a try.
I didn't see Bast at all but something odd did happen at one point and I thought it was worth noting even though there is a good chance it was just tiredness playing tricks.
I was in and out of the state before sleep and suddenly I had one of those "jerked awake" moments and for a split second I thought I saw some golden flaming text on my wall to the left of where a recently acquired Bast picture was sitting waiting for a frame. It was only there for a fraction of a second and I couldn't make out anything it said. What I saw was a small paragraph of a very swirling kind of text. Similar to that elvish script from lord of the rings movies. It was golden and flaming and in some form of calligraphy. Unfortunately I have no idea what it said because it was gone so fast.
A few minuets later I rolled over to sleep again and saw an image in my mind. It wasn't something I was thinking or creating myself it just appeared there for a moment. It was a female fairy or elf or something. I could tell she was naked but I could only see her back and face. She had long scraggly black hair and some kind of tattoo on her back. The tattoo appeared to be some intricate pattern of lines. I think she had a head band and very pointed ears and very light colored eyes almost like she was blind but I don't want to say that she was. I didn't see any wings but I wont say she didn't have any. She was very wild looking. I never heard of Bast appearing in a form like this and now I need to get someone to draw this girl for me so I can see her again. I looked for similar images online but could find nothing. I don't know if she was just a fragment of a dream or some Goddess trying to appear to me. If she was a Goddess and not Bast I don't know who she was. I could tell she wasn't just me thinking of some sexy/wild girl. She literally appeared in my mind for a second with no input from me. I thought for a while she might have been Artemis appearing to me but I have started to doubt that more recently as all my rituals to Artemis have gone unanswered.
I really wish I could get some artist to draw her for me though. I can still see her in my mind.

I thought about Nyx and part of the woman I saw does fit her. I got a sense of power from the woman but the image was more of a daytime fae or Goddess and Nyx is a nighttime Goddess. This doesn't totally rule her out though.

Only difference is that I've been seeing those shadows flit around in the corner of my vision, even when I'm sitting outside with my friends around. I'm beginning to wonder if this means something, with the brownie/piskie (whom I haven't seen since, despite the honey I left out for it), and now the never-ending flurry of shadows. I thought the fae were supposed to be elusive, not showing themselves consistently.

I'm beginning to wonder if this means something, with the brownie/piskie (whom I haven't seen since, despite the honey I left out for it), and now the never-ending flurry of shadows. I thought the fae were supposed to be elusive, not showing themselves consistently. if they want to be seen then they will show themselves, maybe the shadow or shadows have a message for you.

I feel like something big is going to start for me soon. My friend read my cards for me and he thinks that when the next meteor shower happens I will learn about astral projection. I'm intrigued.

I had a sighting last night or at least I think I did. I saw a strange light formality pass in front of my bed, it felt comforting and serene. I usually don't see the fae. Do to a past life of me being one I am not allowed. So I found this kind of strange. When I tried talking to the light it just flittered and floated then disappeared out of my sight. I still felt it though. It made me feel light-hearted. I have no idea if this was the fae or not, but I do have connections with the paranormal. My house isn't haunted, but that doesn't mean spirits don't attach themselves to me. Anyways on January 6, 2011 I had my first contact of the year!

my official first contact happened last wednesday, I went to faery in a trance. It was fantastic and to be honest I felt I came back too soon but if I didn't turn back I probably wouldn't have wanted to later on lol.

Fareru my official first contact happened last wednesday, I went to faery in a trance. It was fantastic and to be honest I felt I came back too soon but if I didn't turn back I probably wouldn't have wanted to later on lol. what was it like there? Can you describe it?
