Well sitting here tonight I just realized that after the 25th I wont see my husband until July *at the earliest*. He will be gone for Basic training and school for the military. Im very worried about this because I have a fear of being alone for long periods of time and usually get very paranoid about it. I guess that my mom will be over up to 3 times a week to do the litter boxes, take me to my doctor appointments, and to take me shopping. But we really dont see eye to eye alot so she might put more stress on me then help.

My husband will probably miss the birth of our son because he will be in Tennessee from March to July and Im due in May. Plus Im having surgery after the baby is born and I really dont know what to do. =/ You see I might have thyroid cancer and the only way to know 100% is to take the 3cm by 7cm growth that I have on my neck out.

So expect alot of rants or concerns from me because Im going to be under alot of stress. If anyone has any ideas to help relieve stress please let me know. Or anyone that knows how to make a pregnancy less stressful let me know too. =/

I can't take hot baths *They are my favorite of all times* The water can heat the uterus to a too high of a temp and can cause brain damage to the baby. Its the first thing my OBGYN told me when I seen her for the first time. DX Which sucks since I love taking them.

I hope your husband can take a few days off for you. If not, I hope there will be other people to support you.

If I want to get rid of the stress, I listen to music, watch tv or play with the cats.

You don't have friends, or other family members that can stay over for a while?

I'm really sorry your hubby is gona miss his baby being born. Is there any way he can apply for a short leave? I think they're allowed to do that for funerals and such. Is he allowed skype or anything like that on his base? My ex had a phone (but was only suppose to have it on him during free time) and a computer with internet, so we chatted every night. But he had finished his basic training when I met him, I imagine their more strict.

Either way, you're not alone, you have your furries and you have us. And I've done the long distance with a military guy thing. I know how sucky it can be. But at the end of the day. You're just happy you have someone TO miss.

hang in there *hugs* oh and thyroid cancer is really easy to treat, so try not to stress about that.

@Panda: The closest family is my mom. She is 30-40 minutes away from me and all his family is out in the country and its hard for them to come to town. I have no friends here that arent 2 hours away *my home town*. I have one friend that will be coming after my surgery to help with the baby so I can rest but she can only stay 5 days then have to get back to work.

@Gaby: The recuiter said that he might be able to take leave it just depends on what school he goes to. His mom is going to visit him in April and she wanted me to go but the doctor said no traveling in the last 5 weeks left. Im not sure if he is going to be able to get on the net to talk to me but I will be able to write letters. I knew that he was going at the beginning of the pregnancy but it really never hit me until last night. Its just that the hormones just make everything worst.

I know that the Thyroid cancer is easy to treat but I always had complications during surgery. During my first ear surgery I stopped breathing on the table. The second one I woke up half way through and then they had to knock me out again.

I'm sorry that you're going to go through so much, especially during your pregnancy and when the baby is born. But know that you have both you're animals and us to help you through and give you advice. 3nodding Not from me, I'm afraid. I've never had a baby, see. ._. I'm only 13....

But that bath thing will be helpful to me, too, whenever I become pregnant. I'm sorry that you cannot take hot baths, but at least you were able to warn me about that....Especially since I want to have three kids, and none of them have brain damage. D:

I'll be praying for you. <3

They can and will send him home when you go into labor. They'll fly him out to you asap and let him stay for a few days before flying him back to base.

Uhg that sucks.=(

I myself have a cancer scare going on, it isn't fun.
However I know that eating a lot a fresh food and drinking tea that isn't loaded with sugar will help.
If there is any cancer the antioxidants in the food and tea will fight against the cancer.

I will pray that everything will work out for you.

@Vegeta: My cats are the best stress relieve helper. My oldest male is the one that helped me threw so much already during his short life. Artemis is my best friend and I know with him around I wont go crazy. lol.

@Vanilla: The recruiter said it depends on his School because they DONT have to send him home at all. It Depends on where he is placed at the school too. He said for my Husband to tell the man in charge at the school when Im due and stuff.

@Testicular Diabetes: I eat alot of fresh food, stay away from meat *barely eat it*, and love drinking Herbal tea. Its my first Cancer scar and its more then scaring me. When I told about my test results I was crying after I hung up the phone. I have Thyroid problems in my family and this just makes it worst. It so far had taken 2 years to get as big as it is so its a really slow growing the doc said.

All I know is that he is a YN (Yolmen *sp* ). He might need special training and might be placed somewhere on the base that will make him not be able to leave. =/ That was from the Captain in charge of him.

I have great respect for service men and women AND their spouses... I couldn't do it, but I am sure glad they can. So my hat is off to you. And WE ARE HERE FOR YOU if that means anything. Remember there really are people behind these names and they love you!

I doubt you could do my biggest stress reliever.. hm..

My second biggest is laying on the couch, putting headphones on, listening to soft and calming music, not moving, and filtering all the bad thoughts from my mind. I imagine all my thoughts going through a screen filter, and only the good ones can go through. All the others get caught and then cleaned away. It really helps when school and other s**t like that start to stress me out. Massages help too, see if you have a friend who has magic fingers (I do ;D).

What about your favorite comedian? Put him/her on and start watching. I was really stressed out a few days ago, so I popped Jeff Dunham on and sat back and laughed. My gut hurt from laughing but it was such a good hurt and I couldn't stop laughing, everything was so much easier to cope with.
