This is what it is. It may be a poem, a set of musings, a internal dialogue, a revealing of self or more.

I wrote this about two weeks ago one night after laying in bed for about two hours after failing to fall asleep. I hadn’t really thought about what I was going to write about besides adversity and what I have learnt from it. From there I just started writing. I cant say I stayed on track, I cant say I managed to get all my thoughts or feelings down as I had wished to. I know that my grammar and spelling may even mean you cant make any sense out of certain parts. I cant even claim these are all my own thoughts, as sometimes insomnia can blur the line between your own thoughts and those you have heard elsewhere. All I can say is everything came from my heart and mind and if you read it closely you may find out something new about me, or maybe confirm something you were unsure of. I can also say that I managed to get to sleep after writing it down on paper.


adversity my teacher

Adversity has taught me many things
Like things will get better
But not often before they get worse

That recognition does not mean success
Or the vice versa thereof

Our bodies heal themselves
But our minds, our hearts and souls
You must work hard yourself to mend

Life is a up hill battle and at the top of the hill
There is another mountain
You can however stop at any point to appreciate the view
Sometimes things look better from the middle

We always have choices, but they can be worlds apart
One may be what to watch on TV
One may be whether to have food or warmth when you cant afford both
Having had experienced both kinds, choosing a TV channel is still hard
But you do realise that there are other options to consider at the end

When you hate others you hurt them
When you hate yourself you hurt everyone

You one can help you as much as you can
But you cant do everything alone
Asking for help is okay
And doesn’t make you as weak as you may feel

Poor or rich everyone has issues
The only difference is what they are
And what you can do about them

No matter how far you fall
You can always fall further

Happy people often are hurting too

Its nice to go the extra mile
But many times the extra mile
Only puts you a mile further away than where you need to be

Anything can become overdone
Variety is a spice you should apply in everyday life

Most people cant tell the difference between when you “try” and when you “do”
So trying and failing is the best step towards doing and succeeding

Its okay to have your head in the future
As long as you know your friends and family need you NOW


You shouldn’t hide from things that disgust you, make you angry, sad or that you don’t understand
The world is full of many wrongs ignoring them is the worst way to prevent them from happening again

You don’t always need to educate people from their delusions
There delusions may be all they have … and may be keeping them alive

There are many truths and two equally opposing truths may both be equally correct

Reality is sometimes the least real thing

You cant let those who judge you define you

You cant get anywhere with either accepting, acceptance or being accepted

I don't see anything in there that I didn't already know about you. I don't know if that says that I know you as well as I think I do or if I'm stupidly blind about something you're trying to say...it's most likely that I am obtuse and am missing something. It also makes me wonder if it's got anything to do with recent events for you. I know that because of who you are you inspire others.

Whatever the case.. ~hugs~ I've never considered you anything less than amazingly wonderful. You are the best person I know (my mom excluded, of course)

@Vegas, You have seen a side of my soul, very few have ever seen.

@Gold, Yes insanity to some is equal to survival.

(Like some people believe there is a guy in the clouds who will grant them eternal life when they die...This belief makes thier lives on earth much easier...Of course I am joking, I respect a persons freedoms to belief and am open to them joking about my beliefs too).

And indeed...Hate hurts, when I was young I hate a lot of hate...and I learnt many hard truths from it.

A heart is simply smooth muscle that beats in rythmic sucession based on secuenctial nodes of electricity.

Logic needs to come before the heart...the heart needs money before it can beat...Sadly.
