Extra eyes were often a help. Anwar was very frequently pleased with himself. A youngster, small as he had been, planning ahead enough to calculate the worth of nearly drowning to acquire this set of wings... brilliant. He didn't often pat himself of the shoulder, but that one task had been very well executed.
Just as most of his plans had been. He was a schemer, his only strength seemed to lie within his skull. But that was more than enough most of the time. The young male stretched, luxuriating in the way he could move each of his paws without pain. The last trip into these territories had included some rather painful injuries, but they had, luckily, faded with time. But his memories had not. He remembered Rahen and Rana both, and full well knew consequences might arise from his...actions. Already he'd returned a pair of cubs to his harem, Star seemed fond of them already though Zarha had been cross. But that left him with even more doubts... what if this other female had had his cubs? Surely, the fact that there were now some fourteen odd little ones in his den did not negate responsibility to these others if they existed.
"Any sight?" he called up to the black shadow far above him.
Kydrimm soared high above the land, his wings dark against the noon sky. He and the young lion who'd saved his life and earned his loyalty so many months ago were out in the dangerous territories once more, looking for those they'd met before.
He hoped the angry rogue males would not make a second appearance.
"A young lioness," he called back, swooping low to flit over the lion's striped shoulder. "Her marking are...interesting...". The hawk ruffled his feathers as he settled himself on the young lion's back. Interesting indeed, there was certainly a striking resemblance. Anwar, he was unsurprised, shifted his direction to pad towards where Kyrdrimm had spotted the female. Interesting markings indeed.
