So I just saw the newest Disney Animated Feature earlier today and was curious what others thought of it. I'll try not to spoil it for others.

I'll start by saying it was cute and I recommend seeing it but in my opinion it wasn't the best they've done. I liked Princess and the Frog better (if i compare to disney's other recent work). Pascal was adorable but that was all he really did sad I wanted more of his cuteness.

Ah, I haven't seen it yet, but I desperately want to. T^T But I have to agree; Disney did a pretty good job with setting the bar high with The Princess and the Frog.

I haven't seen this yet; I want to watch it though, I think Xan does too.

I don't expect it to be better than Princess and the Frog anyways; but I'm sure its a good film.

I don't expect it to be much better then the last princess movie that they did.

Princes and the Frog was cute, but my nine year-old sister got freaked out

by the shaman type guy.

So it ranked low on my list.

Tehe, I loved the Shadow Man in the Princess and the Frog. Then again, I'm head over heels in love with New Orleans culture, so I'm beginning to think I'm just super biased. But I can see why that would be scary to kids... >_>

I really want to know what Disney's slant on the Rapunzel thing is going to be... I'm a bit of a fanatic folklorist, but I don't get angry about the Disney retellings like some people seem to. >_> I think it's creativity! But I do really like the character designs, from what I've seen of them...

I haven't see it yet, but part of me already dislikes the fact that it's not the traditional way of animating for all of the Disney Princesses.(part of the reason I enjoyed P&F so much).

The art is actually really pretty. (the only thing that bugged me was the "mother" 's lack of chin....). I do agree that it felt different than the other princess movies but then that's what disney was going for. They said they didn't want it to be a "princess" movie but one little boys might like too, and that's why Flynn is the narrator.

Yeah, it is rather different... but you have a point; Disney's focus has been to draw the attention of little boys rather then little girls for years now. I mean, the already have the Princesses that are extremely marketable; the emphasis always has to be on drawing in the boys. Because even if it's made for boys, little girls will probably like it too. As long as it's cute. XD

So, I'm kinda excited to hear that Flynn is the narrator... that really will give it a different slant then most princess movies.

I rather adored the movie. I liked the music and I found the play on the old legend made it seem like a new story.

I felt like we should have seen more of Rapunzel's real parents in the movie and there could have been more character development when it came to Flynn Rider, but for the most part I felt Rapunzel was a great round character.

I loved the story and would recommend everyone seeing it 3nodding

Well I hope to see the film when it comes out over here then... you guys seem to like it anyways. ^_^

The the only thing that bothers me a little... is that it isn't traditionally animated... being a Princess movie and all that.
