When someone makes an offer, you respond to accept and they sign off and don't come back online. stressed I freaking can't stand when people do this crap.

Someone did that to me when I was trying to buy my hat. I canceled the trade and bought it from someone else. They signed on the next day, PM'd me and was like "WTF? I was going to accept it, I wanted to see if I would get a better offer!" I replied back "Time is money." He didn't message me back.
It annoys me too, but I feel like I got some form of revenge here.

I ended up selling it for more than the first guy offered, but still...
If you bid on an item in the exchange you should make the plans to stick around for when or if someone accepts it.

Ugh, I HATE THAT. They might have all day to wait to accept an offer, but don't expect other people to wait that long.
I actually just wandered back into the Exchange to see if someone was selling a keido, and already they're making my brain hurt. Remind me not to go back there again for a good, long while. If I had a desk I would be ramming my head into it right now.

Hate that with the burning passion of 100 suns. Its times like that when I wish technology would advance far enough where you could reach through the monitor and attack the person you are talking to. I would be like,
Me: Still waiting for you to accept the damn trade and we both can be on our way... Asshat: LOLZ IM GUNA "LOGOFF" WITHOUT FINISHING TRADE AND LOOK 4 BETER OFFERZ ALL DAY LOLOLOLOLOLOL *Troll face* Me: *Reaches through monitor and strangles asshat* Oh no you dont asshat!!! Finish the ******** trade now! I dont give two shits if someone offered you 500g more! You said I could have it!! I aint waiting all day for you!! scream

I hate when someone accepts my offer, sends me the trade, I add in the gold & accept, for them to cancel for no reason whatsoever.
@ This Isnt Sparta ~ I would love to be able to reach through my monitor & choke someone.
Or even press a key & a fist comes through their screen & gives them a wedgie.

I hate it when I post an offer and they ignore it because I 'low-balled'. Just say 'no' or 'add please'. Why do people take an offer as a personal offense?

Meeptastique I hate it when I post an offer and they ignore it because I 'low-balled'. Just say 'no' or 'add please'. This. Also, when "lowballing" apparently means anything more than 10k below MP.

Archon of Aegis I ended up selling it for more than the first guy offered, but still... If you bid on an item in the exchange you should make the plans to stick around for when or if someone accepts it. Someone was gonna sell a Monsieur Panda for 20k, so I offered that cause I wanted it..and she said "Oh, I'll get back to you on that tomorrow. It's kinda tied up in another deal right now". Well heck, why bother trying to sell it when you have it in a pending deal.

See people complain about the "lowballing" thing, but the majority of the time people are pretty derisory.
I had 2 Feb 2004 letters on sale in the MP (the only two there), and despite specifically mentioning this to people they were still offering around 500,000 lower than that price itself (I'd specifically set it to match the price of the lowest-priced Penguin Slippers, so by all accounts it was a good deal).
I just ignored them, waited, and both were sold within the day. I'd have sold them cheaper if someone wanted them for a reasonable amount less. People really don't help themselves.

I don't hate the Exchange because it's easy to avoid people talking to you.
What I hate is dealing with PMs:
Quote: Not That Awesome Quote: um....would u possibly be willing to trade interstellar bounty for rogue narok (605k) and 60k sweatdrop take a guess.
I paid 1.15m for it about 8 minutes ago, why in God's name would I give it to a complete stranger for almost half that? confused wow this is usually y i dont ask for trades cuz no one (you) is nice now a days
what was he expecting? apparently he thinks i only have the right to
