The sun was actually shining through the trees today. Tahalili had wanted to follow him everywhere, but Kutisha dropped her off off with her mother, Naira. Despite getting together when he was so young, the two were still going strong and thinking each other awesome. He was also still abnormally close to his mother and step father, Ila.
But, he knew most of his siblings hadn't come home yet. Some of his cousins hadn't made it back from their name finding either. It made Kutisha worry for their safety. His mother had mentioned one of her babies coming back with a mate, following the same kind that Kutisha did. Only, he had come back with a mate and four little cubs in tow.
So, on this sunny day, he went out to seek which one came home, finally.

Most of his siblings were now living apart from his foster mother with families of their own. Even though most of them were cousins by blood, it was easier and more familiar to think of them as siblings. So, though Maji had only been home for a short time, he had yet to say hello to most of them. There was so much to do. Soon Lhach, with her new name Daima, would be accepted into the pride and they would be allowed to start a family. Maji felt both overjoyed and terrified.
The snap of a twig alerted Maji to the presence of another. The rouge lands had not taken the runt Maji's fearlessness. Fur standing, ears erect, Maji quickly scanned his surroundings, sniffing. His eyes narrowed. He knew that smell. Maji hunkered down behind a rotten log and waited. One thing about being small: it makes you a sneak. When Kutisha was almost on top of him Maji sprang up, propelling himself over the log and onto Kutisha's back with a roar.

A growl caught Kutisha's attention and he turned just in time to be tackled by a familiar colored male. Obviously the male was smaller than him, so he knew right away who it was. With his own growl of playfulness, Kutisha pushed the other male off of him and proceeded to pounce, chewing on his ear and mane relentlessly.
This wasn't what he was used to, at all. Kutisha remembered the little cub who he was mad at all the time fore 'stealing his mother'. They had never, once, seen eye-to-eye, and he wasn't sure what compelled him to wrestle him right now. But he was having fun. It wasn't too long before the dark blue male got off of his 'brother' and grinned widely, violet eyes watching him.
"Long time no see, lil' bro."

Maji shook himself off and smiled at Kutisha. He looked different and not just because of his mane. In stature he had hardly grown at all. His legs seemed a little thicker, eyes a bit sharper, and overall wiser than the adolescent that left the swamps so long ago. He snorted at Kutisha's comment. "I'm big enough to take you down," he said with a smirk. "My new name is Majilipio-ni-Tupu, or just Maji."

"...Maji, then. Mr. Picked a name too long to pronounce and remember unless you're some kind of genius." He snorted and then grinned wide, showing his off white teeth. "Kutisha's the name I go by. I think you were gone when I came home with my mate and kids in tow." Ah, his kids. Three boys and a weird little girl, all of which he adored. Not to mention his beautiful mate. Kutisha considered himself lucky when he met Naira.
"Been home long? Did you see mom yet? If so, you probably saw she has a new brood of her own. The little one, Shubho? He's the one that looks like me, but has a white mane and little red stripes? Completely blind. Like... He's never seen anything since he was born." Actually, how that he thought about it, Shubho should be out in the roguelands on is own name quest. Oh, well.

Maji narrowed his eyes. He modeled his name after the style of his mother, Jaha-mnamo-Ukosa. Leave it to Kutisha to miss the resemblance. The name was both tribute to her and a reminder of the mistakes he made in her name. Funny how success in failure became a running theme in both their name quests.
"Mother told me about her. I haven't met her yet," he said in regards to Naira, raising an eyebrow. "She said her cubs were on their name quests now. I don't remember her mentioning anything about Shubho. How does he manage?"

Of course he completely missed the similarities. Kutisha didn't know their real mother all that well. He hadn't met her, or even heard of her until she had died, and mother didn't like talking about her because it made her sad. So, it went well over his head. Shaking out his muscular frame, he smirked over at Maji and shrugged.
"I don't know. Father said one of his siblings would stay close. Maybe he'll come back soon and you can meet him. Maybe help him along." He nodded slowly and then shrugged. "Unless, I mean, you came back with your own kids and things. Then like.. you could just meet him." Yes, as he grew older, Kutisha grew kind of airheaded. He wasn't angry at the world anymore, he wasn't trying to pick a fight. No, he was happy and healthy and nothing could go wrong for him right now.

"And... things?" Maji arched a brow. "I came back with a mate, if that's what you mean. Her new name is Daima. I won't bother telling you her full name so you can make fun of it." Even though he meant it as a joke, it came off a little harsh. Maji always was quick to anger. On a superficial level, his time in the rogue lands hardly changed that at all.
He continued, "We haven't had any cubs yet. But soon..." The subject of cubs excited him in a nervous sort of way.

The harshness of how he spoke was completely lost on Kutisha. He was happy right now. His brother had come back and with a mate! Oh, he would have to meet her. "Yeah, but she's got a pretty name. I bet she's pretty. Gotta be some kind of lady to put up with you." He gave a huge grin and a chuckle at his own words.
Speaking of little cubs, "I have three boys and one girl. Tahalili, my daughter, wanted to come with me today. Maybe you want to see what she's like? See your little niece?" Though Lili was really his cousin. ...Or something to that affect.

Maji beamed. He knew it was silly to assume a lioness was beautiful just because she had a beautiful name, but in Daima's case it was the truth.
"Alright. I just hope she doesn't take after her father." This time his joke came off a little warmer. Kutisha's compliments to Daima put him in a slightly better mood.

Kutisha snorted at his brother and grinned. "She takes after her mother more than me. ..In my opinion, anyway." He didn't really want to tell Maji that they were grandcubs of the Goddess of Decay. Or that Lili actually took after her grandmother more than either parent.
He led Maji to his den that was near the center of the pride and then looked around. He knew were the three boys were; off learning to hunt with their grandfather. But Lili never cared for such things. So, he started looking around for rotting things. And sure enough, there was the little cub, staring intently at a bunch of aunts eating away at a piece of meat she had put there.
"Tahalili. Come meet your uncle."
The cub glanced up toward her dad and then spotted who he was talking about. Getting to her paws, the black, blue and purple girl gave herself a shake before moving toward her dad and gave him a nuzzle. "I've met many uncles." Her tone was matter-of-factly. When she noticed her dad was giving her a 'look' the girl frowned and moved toward the smaller male.
"Hello. I'm Tahalili."
