"Congratulations"...
Was held up on a a colorful banner, Almost invisible compared to all the other decorations that festooned the once-squad 13 hang out. A small table was off to the corner, serving deserts and other snacks. But that was mostly for show, because knowing the taste of those coming, the bar was probably to to-be place. The bar itself was off to in the way back, closed off at the moment. It decorated with the same obnoxious streamers and what not. Amie's mod soul had been left in charge of the display, and the creature was incredibly dramatic. It also demanded it serve the liqueur, but Amie stopped it there. Amie herself was a bartender in squad 3, and had no problem with serving it herself. She would open it during the party, hop behind the counter, and serve the drinks herself. She had more than enough alcohol, and experience.
The party was a congratulatory motion for the new captains of the sereitei, and to get everyone together and to know one another. It was more of Amie trying to get her tiny squad some fun, and more interaction with other squad members. Considering how dead things had been around.

The shot glass hit the table with a sound like two pool balls clashing. Amie allowed herself a long satisfied sigh, as the liqueur burned down her throat. That about does it. She consulted with herself satisfied. She wasn't drunk, but she needed a little buzz to be social nowadays. Alcohol seemed to loosen off her edge and make her slightly more friendly. She clicked her tongue, standing behind the bar, looking at the empty room.
It seemed kind of pathetic, chilling there at the bar, drinking. Alone. I miss my Feffs. She admitted to herself glumly. She had him to herself for a few hours when she just got back, but since then, nada. He was squad one captain, she couldn't blame him. And now that she was a captain....He probably knew by now, but she hadn't the chance to tell him herself.

"This the place? It looks a bit different since the ol' Red's wife showed up and cleaned the place up a bit..." Zaine commented with a yawn as he made his way into the old leisure area and grinned at the overtly gaudy decorations, "Weeeeeell, looks like a small kid got the job of gettin this place ready..." The Fuku-taicho thought with an inward chuckle, shaking his shoulder length brown hair from his eyes with a bit of annoyance, and the prospect of a haircut had been popping up quite often in his mind lately, however the thought of the uncomfortable scratchiness brought on by the stray hair immediately deterred him without fail. Shaking himself from his musings he realized that he was not the only person in the room and the other had already started to drink.
"Sorry for not saying hello, didn't realize that there was someone else in here..." He said in a slightly embarrassed mutter, quickly bowing politely he realized that it was the hostess herself who he was addressing, "Ah, so good to see you again Amie-Taicho, I was glad to hear that you had been the one to succeed Mocka and take over a squad you yourself were once a part of, must be kinda nostalgic for ya eh?" he inquired casually, taking a seat at the bar a comfortable distance away from the woman, "So how has squad 13 been treating ya? The place looks great, a good deal more spacious than what I remember it being." he said brightly, wondering what was taking his own captain so damn long, "Probably off setting something aflame while getting shitfaced..." he thought with jokingly at first, but realized that it was highly likely that this was indeed the case...

((Small post is small, don't ask. xP ))
Tezuka sauntered grudgingly into room that was sanctioned Squad 13's bar, arms bare of the cloth that had once been the sleeves of his kosode. There was a funny story behind that, but he really wasn't in the mood to rethink upon his stupidities of playing with fire while under the influence of the poor man's Prozac. Looking at his right shoulder he was pleased to see only a lightly red area now, though it wasn't a big deal if he were burned. What was Squad 4 good for if it wasn't healing? He suppressed a small snigger, making it out to be nothing more than a sigh from the nostrils as he continued farther into the premises, eyes darting this way and that as his hand suddenly sprang forward to grab a free-falling balloon. Tezuka rubbed in upon his shortened hair and felt the object cling rapidly to his noggin through shear static attraction and proceeded farther.
Half saluting as his eyes caught sight of two others, Tezuka called out to them in a nonchalant way like he always did. " Yellow thar, mister and missus. Heard there was a party t'be had in my honor or some s**t." He chuckled now, feeling a little bit of unseen tension break off of himself as he spoke. "I'm Tezuka Matsushima. New Cap'n of Squad 9."

Takezo tried to light up a fresh cigarette as he tread down the last few feet to the entryway. Having trouble getting his lighter to work, sparks simply sprung and died, fraying out like the finale of a festival from the frustrated grinding of the flint. "******** this!" Takezo ignorantly threw his lighter behind him, the cheap lighter broke pathetically as the mechanics separated from the plastic casing. He dug through his pockets for a spare, all the while, instinctively turning into the bar. While he had his mind focused on finding a some matches, his large toe, unwillingly becoming a victim of Takezo's ignorance, stubbed itself. Takezo tried to play this off cool, but he had unusually sensitive feet, and his face went flush pale, trying to hold in screams of anger and hatred. He lifted his foot and grabbed hold, caressing his foot, pretending to inspect it, more or less. He continued this for the next ten seconds until it came down to the pain of a dull knife being stabbed through his toe.
The only thing that took his mind off of his foot was half of the reason he was there. He inspected the 'life' of the party, seeing only his new captain, and that lap-dog Zaine. While disdainfully mocking the other guests, a glimmer of light shone from around them. '... My Goddess!' Takezo had seen for the first time, Captain Kamishiro. And like every other woman of above average attractiveness, Takezo instantly fell in love. Takezo had a habit of falling in love, then after one taste, is then bored of them to death. First, he had to remove the competition, he moved behind his new captain, bringing a karate chop above his right shoulder to knock him out. He was too arrogant to think that he would have any problem with the captain or the vice. If he was questioned, likely rather seriously, he would make the excuse as 'a personal test to check the new captain'.

"This the place? It looks a bit different since the ol' Red's wife showed up and cleaned the place up a bit..."
Amie stared with a cheerful expression as the man entered the room. Before he introduced himself, she recognized him as the squad 9 fuko taicho. It was because of his squad patch though, however, for she was bad with names and faces. More than relieved someone showed up, she greeted him warmly, a small buzzing at the back of her skull from the shot.
"Sorry for not saying hello, didn't realize that there was someone else in here..."
Amie chuckled, and nodded as he bowed, acknowledging his apology. She had seen him come in, but that was natural, for she was familiar with her surroundings.
"Ah, so good to see you again Amie-Taicho, I was glad to hear that you had been the one to succeed Mocka and take over a squad you yourself were once a part of, must be kinda nostalgic for ya eh?"
Amie considered him for a moment. "Well, thanks. It is pretty wild. I haven't been in here in years...there's a lot of memories, definitely, some enjoyable, some..." She grimaced and made a face, like a college boy regretting a hammered one night stand with someone way below his standards. She was not of course thinking about relationships, but more along the lines of getting beat up as a squad member. Once upon a time Amie had an arrancar stalker.
But you know, it's not the same without everyone here. Like a hollow shell. She shrugged and allowed him to continue his questions, demeanor slightly more dull from letting her realizations be vocalized. It really wasn't the same without her old squadmates. She slouched over the table, resting her elbow on the table, then letting her chin rest in her palm, brown hair cascading over her shoulders.
"So how has squad 13 been treating ya? The place looks great, a good deal more spacious than what I remember it being."
The compliment perked her up a bit, and she giggled. "Well, you'd be surprised when you clear out a bunch of useless s**t, how much bigger a room can look."
Her train of though was interrupted as a new man made his appearance. Looks like the captain was here. A soft 'oh left her lips. Was he burning? Or..had been burning? His presence was quite something.
"Yellow thar, mister and missus. Heard there was a party t'be had in my honor or some s**t."
"That's here." She answered, raising her head, sudden interest kicking in at the curious figure. She couldn't put her finger on his accent, but it was there. This was obviously the squad 9 captain.
"I'm Tezuka Matsushima. New Cap'n of Squad 9."
Yup. She knew it. Her eyebrow quirked as she gave him another once over. "You look like you've been having fun. Well hey there. I'm Amie Kamishiro, Squad 13 captain. Your new partner in crime. " She flashed him a mischievous smile, and a wink, shifting her cheek to face him in her palm. ""I've been looking forward to meeting you."
She was hardly aware of the presence of another, a squad member of squad 9. Never mind that there were none of hers in. He made a display of smashing a lighter, and then stepping the glass. She was subconsciously aware of this, hoped he was okay, then figured if it was a big concern he'd have it taken care of. However, he grabbed her full attention when he sprang forward and assaulted the captain.
This was going to go over well. It was a playful strike, or she thought but...the squad 9 captain seemed burly. Rugid. He might not play as nice.

((Sorry for the delay. Been busy as ******** with moving things around. Bloody exhausting.))
Tezuka chuckled admittedly at Amie, letting his teeth show momentarily as she commented about his practices in the realm of self entertainment. Tezuka's face, however, grew a little red as she addressed him further, even winking at him. This caught him quite off-guard, he a man who dealt with female shinigami with much experience, but never in such a flirtatious manner as this. His smile became a little goofy, mouth open to regale her of how he became sleeveless, but he was stopped short by the sudden chop to the side of his neck. It was odd, the slight tingle in his neck only partially registering. It was however the minute change in his view of the world that made him frown in confusion. "T'fawk?"
Turning around in an attempt to answer his own question, Tezuka faced his assailant, eyes changing their perceived height by a mere inch as he looked downward at the man standing before him. He stared at him for a few moments, studying his features. It didn't take long before Tezuka had totally sized him up, hands springing forward to quickly clasp either side of the man's head. Rearing back his own Tezuka slammed their noggins together, grinding his forehead against the newcomer's to the point that blood would surely be dripping from on of their heads. " 'Ello, boyo. Come fer a little taste of the Bloodsport Shinigami have you?" Tezuka shook his head, letting go of the man's head with a none-too-gentle backward push as he scolded the man with a few clicks of his tongue. "Bad move, man. Bad move."
Turning back to face Amie, Tezuka smiled again, putting his hands gently upon the counter's surface as he collected himself. "Sorry 'bout that. What were you saying again? Didn't catch dat last bit." He chuckled a little bit louder this time, a genuine smile creasing across his mug as his eyes closed ever so slightly, pearly whites showing almost to their full extent to the young lady before him.

((Oh man.))
Takezo was less than surprised... more so disappointed. His strike wasn't even worth a defibrillator, or even a second try. 'This turned out awesome...' Takezo's betrayal wasn't going to be renewed for a second season this year, so he spent the rest of his time figuring a way out of this situation... but his Goddess... she was so close. Before the plot had gotten passed step one, Cap'n' Cowboy's forehead had slammed into a his head.
Takezo took a minute to consult his left and right halves of his brain to figure out what the ticklish trickling was coming from his forehead. He slunk down to the floor for a moment which could have been a 5 second coma. Best 5 seconds of his day. He had the greatest fancy of trees, who's branches were made of cigarettes and frogs, whom when picked up and squeezed properly, spewed a flame perfect for the cancer stick. The skies were covered with rainbows, and the clouds were made of fried rice. Socks could be found in fields; the cotton automatically forming the most comfortable and luxurious socks imaginable, ******** the middle man! About three seconds in, he approached his castle, made of Crayons. All the floors were made of sewn together field socks, and the inner walls of brownies. He found every room was complete with three wenches, and were replaced as soon as he was finished. But his dream began to crumble at four and a half seconds, when the delicious brownie crumbs were being smeared into his pure white sock floors, and the wenches began demanding the right to vote and to have a career, and stopped bleaching his floors. Takezo's world shattered.
"Wenches will never vote!" became the first complaint from Takezo after he returned to the 'not as real' world. He came to, disoriented and bewildered when he saw his kingdom was gone. A single tear of longing crashed through the half dry blood from Takezo's nose. He sauntered up to the seat near the edge of the bar, a horrified look stapling his eyes open. The best five seconds of his day... no... his life... and perhaps the only time he felt happy other that that shared with fighting, was gone. Gone... with the wind...

Touoku, the new squad eight captain, casually wandered into the room he was hoping to be that party he had heard of. His eyes grew wide as a large array of colors proceeded to bombard his eyebrows. Clearly this had to be the place, with all of the decorations and the the word "Congratulations" written on a large banner in the room. After his eyes tore their gaze from the background he noticed quite a few people already within the room, apparently enjoying themselves. It was slightly annoying for him to not really know anyone in particular in this room. Hesitation and gawking are anything but artistic, and as one seeking to be artful in every possible way those two actions would not be displayed.
With a calm smile he proceeded into the room, making sure that his posture was up to standard and that he did not trip over his own feet that wore lead bricks carved from his own nervous emotions. The path he ventured on through this room lead him to the first cluster of people he saw, one of them wearing the white captains haori with a number nine on it. Touoku in particular noticed the one who had just been out for a few moments and came to speaking of the voting rights of wrenches before going to an edge seat of the bar. Since the new ninth captain was entertaining a lady for the moment, Touoku's topaz gaze focused in on the back wrench man as he drifted his way. Silently he reached out with his right arm, that still remained sleeveless unlike his left, and touched the back the man's shoulder. "You ok? You look like you woke up to a nightmare of reality." He asked, hoping nothing ugly or artless such as a retaliation or a random attempt to sever his arm came from his action. However, no emotional signs of worry, or one hundred percent concern were within his current speech pattern.

Hiroko glided into the room, there was to much brass here. He was the lowest ranking one here, "Tch, figures nobody would show from the squad. Where the hell is that annoying Kitsune at, I still want her seat." He dismissed it and checked his mask, tugging it over his nose, then he slid his hands down his uniform and began to approach the new captain of his old squad. Hiroko gave her a long bow and held out his hand, ignoring the others for a single moment to say what had been on his heart for a while now, "Greeting Juu-san Taicho, I am afraid I have yet to learn your name yet, but let me begin by giving you mine. I am Kurojuu, Hiroko, and I am afraid that I had just missed your entry into the squad when I left and transferred to six, but from what I have heard, and what I am seeing I would have been proud to have you step in for Mocky Pock ... Mocka-taicho." He looked around, surprised that Hinata was not here, nor Alder ... he asked his next question out loud, "Might I ask where the others are? Or have I just arrived early?" He scanned the room thinking, 'Squad nine had three members here, Eight has one. At least I am no longer the bottom of the barrel.' He looked at the loner near the bar. This was very disappointing, more disappointing than the fact that he had left this squad to get a promotion, and then fate ******** him over again. He had half a mind to go drag people in himself.
Hiroko turned to Tezuka and said, "Given your accent and haori I will assume that you are Matsu-shima, Tezuka? The new Chimu Kyuu-taicho?" If the new squad thirteen captain shook his hand he would give it to the new squad nine captain as well, "You do journalism work right? Newsletters and stuff? As well as other things, like dealings with dignitaries and what not. Sounds cool, just not my bag, I don't like people enough to do that stuff. Congrats though on your captaincy as well, I heard you were pretty impressive in squad one." The eighth squad captain was here as well, he had considered moving to that squad along with the consideration of squad six, so he was eager to talk to him as well, but two introductions was enough for the moment.
((I made two small edits for clarity, simply adding in the words still and thinking. The Kitsune is Hatsume, a 4th seat that he defeated and was unrewarded for, hence he just wants to make her miserable.
sad Don't hate on me Zainey, Mocka was gone forever, liani left, and muffins only posted once a week, I needed to get somewhere where Hiroko could grow and 6th suits him better anyways.))

Bowing to Amie with a friendly grin he turned as his new captain entered the room, smelling slightly of flames. Realizing that his guess about the man's tardiness was in fact the truth he suppressed a loud laugh and instead managed to give the man a nod of welcome, raising an eyebrow at the odd sight of Tezuka rubbing a balloon on his head. "Nice to meet ya Tezuka, I'm your new Vice, Zaine Tsukioma." he said in a friendly manner, watching closely as the last member of his squad entered the room in his own...eccentric manner and shook his head pityingly as the fool attempted to attack Tezuka, only to receive a brutal head butt from the new captain, chuckling to himself he then returned his attention to Amie "Well we are all glad to see ya back in the saddle so to speak, and if ya need anything don't hesitate to ask."
"She said for ya to close your jaw before it hit the ground my new Captain, and you should probably wipe your forehead a bit, no need to drip blood all over the floor." He commented dryly, tossing the obviously dazed Takezo a napkin and muttering to him that he should clean himself up he caught sight of the newest addition to the party, looking back to the victim of his new captain's attack one last time he returned his focus to Touoku and bowed slightly in greeting. "Seems this will be quite a party indeed." he thought to himself, "Three captains and a fight already and we haven't even really started..." Leaving his thoughts to their own devices he watched as the man approached Takezo and began to engage him in conversation, shrugging the Vice Captain took a seat and ordered a drink, while waiting for it he caught sight of another arrival, this one not quite as pleasant in his own opinion. Zaine knew quite a deal more than most people thought he did about the going ons of the Gotei, he had extensively studied the archives and also as a squad 9 member had began keeping an eye on the squads and the activities going on in them so he knew about how this man had the habit of preforming a squad hop in order to simply advance his own ranking, a practice severely frowned upon by most members of the Gotei he himself not an exception, in fact he was still slightly uncomfortable in his own transfer out of squad 10 when he was offered the Vice Captaincy of squad 9, however he only did so secure in the thought that in this role he could do more to help the Sereitei on the whole.
Hearing him once more grumbling about not having a seat he felt he deserved Zaine sighed to himself and downed his drink, enjoying the warmth that blossomed in his stomach and continued to listen to the fool's blathering, upon hearing him ask the question of whether or not this was all the people who would be in attendance Zaine decided to speak up, "Well the thing is that we have no exact guest list planned for this event, in fact anyone who wishes to attend may, regardless of squad or ranking." he stated, putting emphasis on the words squad and ranking. "That's the only reason you are here." he thought calmly, his expression not giving even a hint of his true feelings towards the man away. Few were the people that Zaine disliked, fewer still were those he disliked based on reputation alone but Hiroko had managed to make it on the short list sadly, wincing as the fool butchered the pronunciation of Tezuka's name and even addressed him by a term that may have been an attempt to refer to his captaincy but didn't quite sound right, shaking his head he simply sat back and waited for something interesting to take place, meanwhile he may as well enjoy a few more drinks...

"T'fawk?"
Amie stared in blunt amazement at something she had hardly expected. The...squad 9 member bit him. No ******** way. She gawked in amazement, as the squad 9 captain had his neck chomped on. This exchange got more unorthodox as it progressed, with the captain turning around, and following up with a full on head butt. Her lower jaw dropped. Damn. Poor Cadette dropped off his feat and slipped into sweat oblivion. Well. That was a knock out tactic she could document seeing as never, until today. The captain spoke some words of disapproval, and some of a straight on taunt, and Amie could no longer suppress the mad giggle that was stuck in her throat, and decided to just let it pass her lips. She couldn't help it. There was just something funny about the whole situation.
"Sorry 'bout that. What were you saying again? Didn't catch dat last bit."
Amie brushed a hand through her hair, giving him a good humored smile, eyes glazed over with the humor that had brought her. Wow, how her sense of it had twisted. "Just telling you that I'll be the bonnie to your clyde from here on in. Also, I may want to borrow your skull. Just in case I need to sharpen my diamond jewelry or something. I don't think I'll find anything harder. "
Amie looked over at the mass on the floor. Except maybe his d**k. She mused, watching him get up and say something about wenches. He was out good. "How you feeling sparky?" She asked, hoping nothing else was broken outside of his pride. After all, she didn't want to call a medic five minutes in on her party. She noticed his one lone tear, and wondered what he was crying over.
But not for two long. Because a new, powerful spiritual prescence made it's way into the room. It complimented hers, and Tezuka's. Another captain? She asked herself, observing his haori. Oh, so thats squad eight's replacement? She concluded, after noticing the mark. Well, would you look at that. Something was up, and she felt slightly suspicious. Three new captains in a week? She wondered what else was going on here that was chewing up captains. He spoke to the ninth squader, and seemed compassionate enough. "Welcome to the celebration. I'm afraid the smash-your-skull-against-the-newbie-icebreaker has been taken, so you'll have to find another way to be creative and show us what you're like." Amie flashed the new comer a cocky grin, her reitsu flaring in a lazy uncontrolled state. "Amie Kamishiro, Squad 13 Captain. Don't get blood on the carpet. I just cleaned this place."
"Tch, figures nobody would show from the squad. Where the hell is that annoying Kitsune at, I still want her seat."
To absorbed in the squad 8 captain, she didn't see this new comer enter. Maybe if she was paying attentions he would have sensed him, but the squad 8 captains reitsu just overpowered him by a few levels to many. But he seemed to be talking about squad 13, was he a part of it? She gave him her full attention, and nodded curtly as her gave her a long bow. Well, he knew respect well. She liked the respect she was receiving now. Damn. nobody ever bowed to her before, even when she was a vice. Maybe because she was on such friendly terms with everyone.
"Greeting Juu-san Taicho, I am afraid I have yet to learn your name yet, but let me begin by giving you mine. I am Kurojuu, Hiroko, and I am afraid that I had just missed your entry into the squad when I left and transferred to six, but from what I have heard, and what I am seeing I would have been proud to have you step in for Mocky Pock ... Mocka-taicho."
Amie let that digest. So, he was from her squad, and just recently switched?...Hmm...she took him in for a moment, wondering why he would have switched out. "Kurojuu, Hiroko-kun...you may call me Amie Kamishiro." She stopped there, because she really didn't know what else to say to him.
"Might I ask where the others are? Or have I just arrived early?"
Amie sighed, brushed a small elegant hand through chestnut brown hair, laced with electric blue streaks. "This is it. I'll be lucky if I have two active members still present in my ranks." She commented sourly. this squad was in sorry shape. It truly was a disappointment, but she was working on making it better day by day. someday, Squad 13 would rise to it's former glory.
During the whole thing, Amie had barely noticed Zaine, diligent as he was, at the bar drinking. She immediately felt guilty, and gave hi another hit of his drink. She had heard his words of encouragement, but had been so caught up she hadn't responded to them. there was a certain bitterness though, which was what drew her to him, coming off of his words adressed to the other ex squad 13 member. It was hostile. So...he didn't like him, eh? Well. She would just stand back and observe, to find out why. Maybe it had something to do with why he switched squads, and Amie was quite curious about question as well.

As the ninth squad Vice Captain spoke Hiroko caught the emphasis on the squad and ranking. Formality seemed to be slipping out the window ever so slowly as Hiroko became somewhat angry. He remained calm though, to much upper brass here to make an a** of himself, but he would not let it go unmentioned. "One can only go for so long without being recognized for their actions Fukutaicho. After nearly a year without so much as even having a chance to earn a seat, or even getting a pat on the back when I defeated one of the two fourth seats, I decided it was time to move on to a place where my abilities would be appreciated, and I would like it if you could perhaps sympathize with me and not let your dislike of my actions flow from your lips without actually hearing my side of things. I was in a situation where I was powerless to improve it, so I did one of the only things in my power to do and its as simple as that."
Hiroko nodded and looked away from Zaine. Deciding he should more accurately explain it to Kamishiro-Taicho, he said, "Thats why I transferred Captain Kamishiro. Its hard to get noticed when your in a squad with a constantly missing Captain and a Vice Captain that follows his example. When Miss Hinata sensei left everything seemed to lose its life. Training became scarce, promotions became nonexistant, and it was rare that one everr got an opportunity to get noticed. I couldn't really handle it because it made me angry every time I thought about it, so I removed myself from the things that made me angry and I transferred to the sixth. I can't say things are to much different there, but at least I see the leadership in the courtyard every so ofter, and that is an improvement, and I am more than happy with it because a small bit of progress is still progress." He looked around again and added, "But if you do still need any help with the squad I am only a hop, skip, and a jump away, and I will always be willing to assist ... most of the members of squad thirteen." He probably would not assist that overly destructive, overly annoying Kitsune that would rather burn down the entire Sereitei than admit defeat, but all of the other members of his former squad were tolerable to put things lightly. Besides, his new squad barely did anything. "I'm afraid that due to my time hear I have not learned to much in the ways of kido, but I am rather good at creative thinking and I have fairly good control of my shikai." He was rather proud of his blade's capabilities, but its spirit ... spirits ... spir -- those creepy a** chicks in the coffins were very . .. ... creepy.

((Yup.))
Tezuka laughed loudly at Amie's reference, shaking his head not in disbelief, but in pure amusement. His hands danced against the bar top, playing an obscurely off-beat tone of some sort as he continued to gauge her. Her 'round about concern for the man Tezuka had dropped early was evidence enough that she was indeed a lady of many layers and that was something he could respect if not like. The smile became smaller, now an eternal smirk of self-amusement as he leaned over the bar and peered at the large assortment of booze before visually selecting a few bottles and nodding to himself. " A Stim Pack (single shot:1 cl Bols Blue, 1 cl Safari Liqueur, 1 cl Vodka) ya' don't mind. Set me up wit two r'three." With a tap of the bar top he leaned on his right arm and watched from a distance as Zaine and the new guy, Hiroko, chatted it up in a not so pleasant overtone.
Now, granted, even Tezuka frowned upon the idea of squad jumping, but there were always circumstances that superseded principal. Unfortunately this whole thing was beginning to drag on and that was what really got to him. He slammed the palms of his hands down atop the counter and leaned forward on them, pushing back to right his person before turning to face the two. " Bathrooms is over there if you two need ta' change yer tampons r'somethin'." He said, jerking his thumb in a direction away from the bar. " I came here t' celebrate bein' promoted and, hopefully get'n a little ********, not listen to 'Bitchfest 2010'. Thank you very much." Tezuka's accent got a little thick at this point, a slight shrug coupled with scrunched facial features showing just how important he thought this whole pissing contest was. "Now, let's get ********>

(( Just gonna assume COV's drinks got delivered before I showed up, lol. ))
D'you ever get the feeling you've walked into a situation that hasn't really played itself out, and you don't want to get stuck in the middle of it? As Fefnir made his way up the building, he heard animated discussion inside, but when he stepped in the remains of someone's lighter and the last little bits of the fluid from it caught fire, he stopped to stomp it out, which led to glass shards being nice and stuck in his sandals. Rather than let the tiny stabbing bits work their way in, he sort of hopped his way over to the front door and sat down to pick the annoyances out as much as he could. Unfortunately, being from that lighter, each of the little slivers also had some flammable liquid, so they sparked and sparked as Fef's calloused fingers made contact with them. Good thing he was outside, or the massive bunches of decoration all over the bar probably wouldn't have thanked him for lighting them on fire. Actually, that sort of thing had been happening a disconcerting amount as of late: things around the shinigami tended to be a good deal hotter than they should be, so they went up in flames, which is especially annoying when one of your biggest time consumers is paperwork.
As he sat there removing his sandals, the red man got to listen a bit more carefully to the goings-on inside without being readily seen by everyone and their brother, though it was a bit muffled by at least some of a wall. Some guy whose voice he didn't readily recognize was giving this long diatribe to the effect of 'I switched squads for recognition that I'm still not getting, so maybe I'll come and join this squad and see if I have better luck'. Now, having not heard anything prior to this point, Fef suspended his judgment somewhat, but it didn't really sound like a good reason to be moving all over the place, even worse that he was trying to make it sound like a good thing. Maybe it hadn't been clear back in the academy that one was to find the squad that best matched their skill set and stay there through thick and thin, but there were always people who wanted to be the exception. The Squad 1 captain normally would have set him straight by informing him that leaving a Squad in need was adding to the problem rather than the solution, but his vice captain... wait, no, not his VC anymore... Tezuka pretty much shut him up with a lot less of the work and kept the festive atmosphere intact, which was a relief.
Shoes removed, the red man almost silently slipped in, the stealth more as a force of habit than any intent to avoid detection, which wouldn't have happened with Zaine and some other guy on the far end of the bar facing the door, plus the third and fourth toward that side as well, none of the four being very interesting to look at. Tez had his back to the entrance, however, so he slipped into the seat next to him, and noticing he had three drinks, proceeded to snag one with an unceremonious "Don' mind if I do!" to answer the unasked invitation. Before Tezuka could have stopped him, which was kind of a toss up as an option since Tez loved his booze but also loved to have a good time, he downed the shot with a satisfying burning sensation in the back of his throat. The inevitable bit of a burp, consequently, was on fire (Fefnir was beginning to notice a pattern in the evening's events already), and with that small dose of liquid courage, he leaned himself over the bar a bit and with a bright smile on his face asked the bartender, "Ya come here often?"X-X-X-X-X-X-X-X-X-X
