I mean, once you reach adulthood, you spend your life working in a job you hate to pay for things so you can live to work the next day all to save up money for objects that need constant repairing or replacing.
It's a complete waste of time, so why do people frown on suicide so much?

At least while alive, you have time, while dead, you don't.
There are arguably the same number of good and bad things in life.
And not everyone hates their jobs, if you do, ur doin it wrong.
With that said, I don't frown on suicide and if this topic has a deeper meaning then simply being a topic, you can feel free to talk to me about it, you're a good friend.

I don't sum up the value of my life in terms of job/ money/ objects
so I have not been bogged down with such. I may groan about working long hours, but its a choice I make.
I sum it up with events, experiences, people, memories and I'm loving every minute of it. 3nodding

That's what your life is like now.
The ideal life, theoretically, is to do work you love doing in order to sustain your life.
You're sort of asking one question when there are two questions at hand. . . one of them being "What is the meaning of life in the context of the society I live in?"
Look at the animals around you. They live to live. There is no one goal. Perhaps that's the meaning of life - is simply to live and be content.
But, because of who we (as a species) are, we end up being confined to certain rules and ways of living. Part of that is necessary - with so many of us, we need some sort of structure in order to live in harmony. But at the same time, due to politics, greed, power, prejudice, etc, we run into problems that create bureaucratic bullshit and so much of it gets complicated and silly.

I know what ya mean, the only adventure I had was public school. Now that I'm done with that, other than trying to find love, everything just seems so pointless. I'm very petty and selfish. I know there are people out there who are worse off cause of natural disasters and such but I don't care about that stuff anymore.
I want to be set for the rest of my life with a big house, a well paying dream job and a wife, I want it all for me. But I don't think I'm going to get any of that. I couldn't even hold the one job I had so now I'm sitting here living with my parents with no way to make money. So for me living does seem pointless since I'm spending it all living under my parents roof with no where I'm able to go. Kinda turned into a rant, sorry.
