Please be nice! Remember the golden rule; treat others the way you want to be treated. Well, this is me!
Stevie Rae is a southern cowgirl by heart that loves nothing more than the feel of riding. She's very sweet and kind to anyone that's nice to her. She doesn't like getting into fights, but she'll be stubborn and outspoken if she needs to be. She was raised to be nice and polite to others especially if she's in a competition. No one likes a mean girl, which is what he mother always says. So she tries to be a happy, optimistic ball of sunshine!

All of us have stories, stories that we tell our children about lessons we learned in life. Here's all mine!
Stevie Rae was born and raised in Henrietta Oklahoma as an only child. She had always wanted a horse of her own and her own little ranch, but her parents had financial issues so she never could get those things. She would just go over to her friend's house and ride her horse. Well one day, while Stevie was searching around on the web, she found out about Calypso Ranch. She saw how their were horses there that needed owners and with her savings and a lot of begging, she convinced her parents to go there. She used most of her savings to pay for the horse Pumpkin. She fell in love with Pumpkin when she first saw him and she knew they would work together great! Of course, since this was her first time training her own horse, she would need a little help. But luckily there were other riders here that could probably help her. She just might even make a new friend or two. She just hopes that she doesn't make any enemies. All she has is a little hope and pure determination to help her big dream come true. Hopefully...

Please be nice! Remember the golden rule; treat others the way you want to be treated. Well, this is me!
Casey is a very independent girl. She likes to do things her way, and will only have things her way. She is not at all snobby, and doesn't appreciate snarky comments. She can be defiant at times, but her true passion is horses. She fought her father to get her mustang, Flicka, and she doesn't plan to give her up anytime soon. She is a down to earth kind of girl, and loves to get dirty. She's very tough, your classic ranch girl. She loves her family, but sometimes the only one who truly understands her is her brother. She wants to make new friends, but she's unsure about whether they'll accept her or not. She loves going on trail rides and her favorite thing to do is go running bareback on her mustang mare.

All of us have stories, stories that we tell our children about lessons we learned in life. Here's all mine!
Casey grew up on a ranch, where her father was way too overprotective of her. She had failed her classes at boarding school, and almost had to go back. But after much persuasion and hard work, she surpasses her grade and finally achieved what she wanted.

It all started when Casey had gone on a trail ride in the morning, and her horse had been spooked by a cougar. That's when she saw her. An ebony mustang mare chased off the mountain lion, but the mare also ran off. Casey had to walk back to the ranch, where she tried to explain what she saw to her father, who then confronted her about her failed paper. She got angry and stormed off, only making her father angrier.

She went out a couple days later, lasso in hand. She rode out to catch the mare, where she found her grazing in a field. The mare took off, leaping bushes and weaving around trees. Casey kept up though, and lassoed the mare. Unfortunately, the mare tore Casey from the saddle and drug her, and Casey finally let the lasso go. The mare galloped toward the herd, leading it off. Casey's father stopped the mare, where he lassoed her again and took her back to the ranch, giving Casey a firm and angry reprimand.

But Casey wasn't fazed by her father. She kept sneaking out at nights and training and bonding with the mare, which she named Flicka. She got to the point where she wanted to take the horse out, but the mare took off. Casey fell, and her family caught her. Her father got angry again and decided to sell Flicka, selling her to the Wild Horse Race in the rodeo.

Once again. Casey would NOT quit. She persuaded her brother to enter the horse race, where she stopped Flicka and calmed her by singing her family's lullaby. She stopped the mare, but her father had seen her and was running toward her. Casey didn't hang around. She leaped up onto Flicka and galloped off, leaving her family in the dust. She galloped into the forest when a storm broke, anbd she realized she was lost. Flicka was about to start for home when the lion attacked, and nearly killed Flicka. Nearly.

Casey's fatrher found the girl and the horse, but took Casey home. The girl got very sick, with a high fever for two days. Her father sent the ranch hands to kill the horse, but they couldn't do it. So her father set out to do it, thiunking the shot would sund like thunder. But Casey heard it and knew it was Flicka. But it wasn't. Her father killed the lion, and got Flicka home, where Casey's mother nursed the mare back to health. Casey got better and renurtured Flicka, and both made a full recovery.

Casey's parents suggested Calypso Sundown Ranch for Casey, who thought they were sending her away for counseling. They persuaded her that it was for competition, and in a way, it was. Casey was a bit reserved, but her parents pushed her to it. They drove her down, and immediately she fell in love with the ranch. She's excited to be there and can't wait to start!

All of us have stories, stories that we tell our children about lessons we learned in life. Here's all mine!
Nick came from a broken family. Her father lived in Denver with her other sister and younger brothers while she lived out on the farm in Kentucky with her mother and grandfather. Her grandfather was terribly ill so her mother took care of the horses. They owned a breeding farm and had many mares and foals to care for. This were fine until her mother passed away. Nick didn't find her, she was outside with the mares when the family's friend, Miss Ham, came in and told her that her mother had fallen and was dead. Nick couldn't believe it. Her mother had been so alive and well just an hour ago and now she was dead? The rest of the family came for her funeral, dad, Amelia, and the boys, Albert and Ryan. The funeral was nice and peaceful, until Nick's father suggested her moving out to Denver with the family, selling the ranch, and putting Grandfather in a nursing home. Nick declined, saying she had things to wrap up at the ranch and wanted to be there for her grandfather. So her family left and she was left in charge of the ranch.

Spending most of her days int he office, Nick went through papers and sorted out bills. She soon fired the farm's trainer after finding out he was working for another ranch and had been about to sell the ranch's best broodmares to his other boss for half what they were worth. His other boss would then sell the mares for double and give the trainer a large share. He threatened to sue her but Nick threatened to arrest him. She never heard from hims since. Miss Ham was with her all the way, helping her sort things out and care for the horses. The ranch hand, Eddie Sweat, also helped with the horses. It was said he knew what horses were thinking and Nick appreciated his help greatly. One night, while going through paper work, she found out about a coin toss between her mother and another man ho was very rich. The man owned the horse Bold Ruler, a top racehorse. Two of Nick's family's mares were carrying his foal and on December 3rd, there would be a coin toss to see who got which foal. It was either Hasty Matelda's foal or Somethingroyal's. After a lot of thought, and research, Nick decided she wanted Somethingroyal's foal since Bold Ruler was known for his speed but didn't have enough endurance while Somethingroyal had endurance bloodlines. Everyone, except Miss Ham and Eddie Sweat, tried to tell her to pick the other foal but Nick wouldn't budge.

In the meantime, Nick went looking for a trainer. A family friend, Bull Hancock, told her to ask Lucien Laurin, an almost retired horse trainer. Nick went to him and tried to convince him but the man denied. She was very disappointed but she wouldn't let it show. She simply walked away and left him on the golf course. She knew they needed a trainer for the new foal, but Lucien had a point, a farm with no promise didn't attract a trainer.

Before long, the day of the coin toss came. Nick's mother's brother was there with her and kept telling her to choose Hasty Matelda's foal. Exactly on the hour, it was time for the toss. Since he owned the sire, Bold Ruler's owner got to call the coin. He called heads and that's what to landed on. Of course, he choose Hasty Matelda's foal and Nick got Somethingroyal's foal. Her uncle was greatly disappointed but Nick only replied that she had gotten what she had wanted. On her way out, Nick was stopped by Lucien Laurin who told her to call him when the foal was going to be born. Nick returned to Denver to stay until the foal was born.

Nick returned to the ranch a little while later, with one of her brothers, to see the foal being born. Lucien and Eddie were both there, along with the vet. They watched as Somethingroyal's foal came into the world, all watching closely. The foal stood up as soon as he entered the world. His mother didn't need to help him, he was up in less then a minute of birth. Everyone was amazed and watched as the foal glanced around and began to nurse. Nick watched the little colt, who she named Red, all the time. He was so cute playing in the field and was large for his age.

Lani has a take charge personality. She's basically the one who runs Calypso Sundown- she can drive and ride, so she often takes one of the rach trucks into town, but rarely. She loves her horses, and she created a special bond with her mustang, Spirit. She loves to get dirty and is tougher than most girls, and likes to work hard. She has beaten up guys that were older than her- but not bullying. Simply self defense, because they thought they could take her on because she was a girl. Oh, nooo way. She's a rough and tumble kind of girl, and won't hesitate to speak her mind. She doesn't order people around, but she expects the participants to respect her and follow her rules and jobs that need to be done. She expects the most out of the participants- and she'll do everything to get them to Gold Medal Ridge. But only a chosen few will make it- the most dedicated.
