AMITYVILLE ACADEMY ENROLLMENT FORM Name: Richard ( supposedly - the form he submitted was covered in what hopefully was blood and dirt...and not something else )
Nicknames: ?? ( none that anyone would dare call to his face ) Corpse Dancer ( he made that one up himself )
Gender: Male ( most assuredly )
Age: ....er? He looks around 15 or 16 but it's really hard to tell and he's not talking. Cause that's how he rolls. ( also, he's a Ghoul - he takes on the guise of the last person he eats )
Faction/Race Demon (or) Undead / Ghūl ( I have also heard them called Demons [ more specifically demons that are...undead ] so I am uncertain of this classification
Personality:
To put it mildly, Rick's a d**k. He's not sorry for his actions and never will be. He's loud and abrasive and downright cruel. If he had a chance to be evil and get away with it, he would. Hell, he's evil even though he knows he can't get away with it (anymore) but that won't stop him from doing what he wants....when he can.
A thousand little lies : Rick cannot and will not tell you the truth. Period. It's not because he thinks you're stupid (well, he does think you're stupid), it's just because he thinks it would be more fun to figure out what people want to believe. The only trouble with something like this he forgets whom he told what to, so his stories change a lot. Which isn't so bad since that was part of his point to begin with. . . . or so he says. Supposedly the only way to get him to tell the truth is to get him really, really mad. Of course this runs the risk of him carrying a grudge and the possibility of revenge/retaliation on his part, so living with his lies might be a better choice.
Sorry, I wasn't listening : Just kidding, he's not sorry! Aside from lying to you, Rick doesn't give a Candlejack flying anything about what you think and what you have to say. Why doesn't he care? It's because he's too busy plotting his revenge against those who've wrong him in the past to care about the people in the present, not to mention those around him hold little interest for him. It's both a good and bad thing that he has tunnel vision, allowing him to have heavy focus on the tasks at hand.
Revenge is a delicious dish : There's something going on inside Rick's mind that he's not willing to share with you, though it's not hard to figure out that he's not at all above being petty and therefore performing petty acts of revenge. It's well known by anyone who asks him (and somehow or another through a miracle gets a straight answer) that the only reason he's here is so he can obey, get promoted, and get the hell back out. Of course his inability to let things go and to carry a hatchet (figuratively and literally sometimes) doesn't just apply to the people who got him stuck at Amityville - it applies to anyone and everyone who might actually push his buttons. It's pretty hard to make him upset though so chances of him getting revenge on someone are slim. . . .hopefully.
As a fun side note, it should be written that Rick abhors pain. At least, any pain that is inflicted upon him - pain that others are under/getting is amusing and worth eating candy corn while watching. Injuring Rick is the most likely and surefire way to get yourself on his s**t list (otherwise he'd just ignore you), and you can be sure that any pain inflicted upon him will result in double for whomever caused it. [ The fact he does not like pain is one of the reasons he has not ripped his stitches out of his lips. Seeing as his flesh as grown around them by now it would be entirely too painful for him to even think of doing ]
Physical Description:
For a ghoul, Rick actually isn't that bad looking if you can get past the smell and the general OMG WHAT HAPPENED TO YOUR FACE. Not as emaciated as most of his kind thanks to his ever continuing efforts to make sure he doesn't starve, he always seems to have a new face to show people. And by new face I mean the face of the person he ate last. It's a work in progress.
Height wise he's actually pretty tall, though not insanely tall like most monsters. His height is hard to determine because of his ghoul nature, but he's about 6' 0" on a good day. His weight is super thin, but not emaciated or gross. He watches what he eats, thank you.
Eye Colour: Various. Rick's natural Ghoul form has his sporting grayish-hazel eyes. He has one eye that's bigger than the other (a la Elijah Woods ), something that he can't shake no matter what form he takes. It doesn't bother him though since it makes him look scarier, or so he says.
Hair Colour/Style: Naturally, a very dusty blonde that is incredibly pale. Not as bright as platinum blonde, it looks like like a goldenrod that has faded with time. His hair is very short to his head, almost shorn.
Skin Colour: Greyish-brown. Some ghouls are considered undead and therefore have the pallor of a wonderfully decaying individual, though there have been some rumors of ghouls with healthy skin tones. Rick is not one of those ghouls.
Clothing Style/Colours: SHIRTS ARE OPTIONAL. If he has to wear anything at all on his chest, Jude prefers wraps that are dirty and stained with blood...among other things. The wraps are only on his stomach, not his chest, and likely extend to around his hips. He'd wear anything that was comfortable and easy to move in for running/jumping/climbing, and colors don't bother him. Rick didn't come to the school for fashion reasons.
Extra: Rick has had his mouth cut open from ear to ear and therefore has a massively huge scar across his face. Coupled with that, his mouth as actually been sewn shut - or at least his lips. His cheeks are still open so he can shove food/smoke/do whatever through those holes. It is also how he talks. Rumor has it he cut his mouth open himself in an effort to look more terrifying, while several people had to track him down later on and sew it shut to prevent him from attacking the locals. Rick likes to tell this story with exaggeration, so listen at your own risk.
Because his lips are sewn shut you can't really see his teeth, but Rick has a mouth full of razor sharp teeth that are jagged, dirty, and stained. He thinks they look hella awesome and will not hesitate to lift one of the holes in his cheeks to show them off.
Also, supposedly (and according to some lore), ghouls have donkey hooves. Rick may or may not have these, but since his feet are always covered (and he's always in someone's form) it's hard to tell.

Rick's face is more pointy than normal, with a well defined jaw and cheeks. He has a glasgow smile that extends from ear to ear, literally, and has not healed shut so there are no scars. His lips are sewn shut and the skin has grown over most of the stitches, preventing him from taking them out. He can still smile despite his lips being sewn shut, though it is very grotesque and usually involves bleeding. Eyes are more situated in the center of his face and are rather normal, same as his nose. General broad forehead with a high hairline.
The skin around the cut on Rick's cheeks is red and inflamed from constant movement and picking, and there are some spots that may even be infected. The rest of the skin on his face is more sallow than most, as befitting an undead, and leans towards a greyish-yellow spectrum of colors.
His ears are slightly tapered off into a point, though it is not noticeable enough to claim them as "elf ears" or even "hobbit ears". His eyebrows are narrow and light, matching his hair color, which often makes them invisible on his skin.
His hair is shorn and is likely less then an inch long, and is a mellow yellow in color. As in going with his skin tone it sometimes looks as though he has no hair at all, though unlike his eyebrows the hair on his head may be a slight shade darker depending.
The thread used to bind his lips is still visible even though the skin has grown on the original seams, and is a dark black in color. His lips are sewn shut with both cross stitch and vertical stitches as though whomever did this to him wished for him to never again be able to speak or eat.
Rick's nose is pointed and beak-like, sitting well defined in the center of his face, though it is not large and is rather narrow at the base and along the dorsum. His eyes are rather thin to match the general design of his face, though they are more tapered at the ends to give them almost a 'pointed' look. They sit about mid-level on his face and are a rich hazel in color. His right eye is larger than his left eye, though not by such a distinct amount that it's very visible. Instead it is a slight size difference.

FEAR:
You are what you eat - Rick "eats" some of the FEAR of a fellow student/combatant/monster and therefore takes on their guise for a short period of time. He gains access to some of their abilities, though at 1/16th of their original strength as well as at the cost of his own health.
- this ability is couple with a Ghoul's natural ability to take on the guise of whomever they eat. Unfortunately (or something) for Rick due to his low level of FEAR he retains most of his own physical traits when transforming, such as having one eye larger than the other and faint marks to indicate his mouth. He also retains his natural teeth.
- Seeing as Rick can flawlessly transform into any human he would happen to consume, he is unable to properly do so at such a low level of FEAR when he eats other monsters/undeads/anything else. Rick gets incredibly sick when he "eats" anything or anyone that isn't human (even undeads who were originally human at least give him indigestion). Continuous use of his FEAR can lead to him actually exploding from his own FEAR, something he does not like.
- Rick CANNOT digest the fear of teachers or anything above a second year at his current level of ability.
Natural Ability: Ghouls actually have two natural abilities (?) based on several records.
a) shapeshifting - Ghouls can transform into animals, usually a Hyena. This form is used to lure people away from their homes/groups and therefore kill and devour them
b) guise - Ghouls take on the guise of the last person they ate. They also retain the memories and habits of this person, essentially allowing them to live like them until they feed once more - THIS IS RICK'S CURRENT NATURAL ABILITY
Why are they enrolled in Amityville Academy?
To put it mildly, Rick ******** up and is being sent to Amityville because no place else would really take him where he could be suitably punished. Unable to do as he pleases at Amityville because of the rules, the Boogeymen, and the constant threat of painful explosions, Rick is sure to be miserable and perhaps a bit repentant of his ways.
This does not mean he's going to go willingly and not give the Headmaster and whomever else along the way an easy time, seeing as he's bitter and more than eager to get back and take revenge on those who would dare banish him from his home. Eventually though he may or may not actually obey what the teachers tell him in an effort to graduate earlier and be released back into the world.
History:
Consider the fact that Rick is a liar, and then consider the fact that he hasn't told a decent story or truth to anyone since his arrival at Amityville. Everything about him is based in hearsay or patching various stories together to compare notes, so listed below is what appears to be his "correct" and "true" history.
Please note the [ ] once contained [ rick ] or [ he/him ].
From the village [ I ] came from, [ I ] was a terror amongst all the people. No women or children were safe from [ me ], no bodies either. Pillaging and rampaging occurred every night with no chances for safety, and eventually the village had to turn against [ me ]. . . .

I like their fear power! Do they become like a weaker duplicate of their opponent? Or do they just gain a similar power to their opponent for a limited time? What do you mean by "Eat" them? Like "Inhale their fear aura" or like... actually take a bite?

And as for what he becomes, yeah - basically a weaker copy of that person. After a while he looses their abilities but he can still wear their appearance around for a while, though since it makes him feel sick to maintain it (he's not built for eating anything other than humans) he probably sheds the form as soon as he's done doing whatever needs done.

((needs to reread the quest thread closer)) Also if naturally the method is traditionally "actual eating" and that's why his mouth is sewn shut, then if it remains shut and it's just an "Inhale" I would think it would be considerably weaker- like a lot weaker. XD Does he ever rip his stitches to try to take a bite to boost power?

You might be seeing fanart of him in the future >:C Ignore the stitches comment that makes total sense when you aren't being a doof like me and skimming first run through. I really like his rebellious personality, I can see him as the bad kid with his feet up in the back of the room and being in trouble constantly. It totally fits the feel of a Ghoul. rofl

O: Jude sounds way cool! Nothing is currently standing out at me as OMGWTF? and he seems to be pretty thought out. Though I think it'd be nice to see more of how he would react to people on a daily basis or a random, simple encounter. Also, you mention that he abhors pain, and so he hasn't taken out his mouth stitches, yet he spreads the rumor that he gave himself his own "Glasgow Smile." I'm personally interested in how he'd react to someone (Lol... Casimir [my quest] so would...) that confronted him on his story that if he could give himself such a grin, why not take the stitches out as well or instead?
IDK. JUST MY THOUGHTS. Sorry that they're not really helpful xD;.

Jude would lie. Because he doesn't care if you really, really wanna know. The only way to get him to answer you properly would be to piss him off beyond all reason XD. If someone was like "DID YOU REALLY DO IT" he likely would be all WHY ARE YOU ASKING ME? WHO TOLD YOU? ARE YOU EDIBLE?
And as for not taking out the stitches, he'd say it was part of his body naturally, you've offended him! HOW DARE YOU ASSUME HE CAN REMOVE THEM?! That's like asking someone to take their arm off, how uncooth! Manners!

His FEAR ability sounds like it could be really interesting =O I guess my main question about Jude is how much he actually cares about other people? I'm sort of getting two different messages from his traits - one is that he is actively malicious and goes out of his way to give everyone a hard time, and the other is that he ignores everyone save for the people he wants revenge against. If he meets someone for the first time, would he be more likely to ignore them until the stranger has wronged him? Or does Jude hassle the stranger anyway? You also mention that it is difficult to get him upset - does Jude then pay serious attention to only a limited pool of people, the ones who have managed to offend him? Or does he spout his BS to anyone near enough to hear him, and only go into "revenge mode" when a target is nearby? So I guess, how social is he? Would he ever enlist the help of someone else to enact revenge on someone else? Would he ever agree to help someone else exact revenge on one of their enemies? Also, how does Jude handle authority? I sort of got that he is reluctantly compliant so that he can get out of the Academy as soon as possible? Did he need to be threatened (with pain?) to follow rules? Would he lie to his teachers? Hi, and thank you for offering some crit! Lemme see if I can explain this a bit better.. . . .
When I say Jude ignores people, I think he does it mostly when someone tries to tell him to do something or give him their opinion. Basically he's got a whole "die in a fire" mentality going towards everyone which leads him to not care about their existence per say, but that doesn't mean he dislikes EVERYONE. There are certain people that he will go out of his way to make miserable, if only for his own amusement. You've got to work hard though to even hit his target radars, but if he finds so much as one thing interesting about you it's a pretty sure bet that he's going to be gunning for you. Probably not at all with the same zeal as those he hates, but I think fairly close.
As for enlisting help - probably not. He's flown solo thus far and enjoys the solo bird act. He's well aware of himself and what he can do and is therefore comfortable acting on his own. As for revenge for hire? It depends on what someone wants him to do. If it sounds interesting enough he might give it a go, but usually he'll tell you to piss off....and then maybe do it anyway. He's the sort to do what he wants and ignore what you've asked.
In regards to handling authority - he hates it but he knows following commands of those in power is the only way for him to get out of Amityville. Most of the time his remarks are sarcastic and his work is half-assed, but he follows what he's told to the bare minimum of what's allowed. He's not the type to put in 100% effort into something he hates, even if his ultimate goal is at the other end. He's not above lying to his teachers - in fact, he lies to them all the time. He's probably gotten caught and sent to detention enough that he's a regular, but as if he cares.
There are times when he's really unruly and hard to control, so yes - pain is a threat that is used and likely carried out against him. It's the only thing that could really get him to stop and listen aside from threatening to keep him at Amityville forever, which he doubts anyone would actually do.

Looks pretty solid! These are the only things that really come to mind...
You've talked about how he's pretty much a wise-a** and the slacker type when it comes to authority, but how would he react to someone bigger and more powerful/aggressive than he is? Would he still talk back?
While ghouls may have more than one natural ability outside of TiH, I think for this purpose you need to pick one.
