im kinda upset that we got such a low score and i think i have a reason to be first off last year our starting score was a 71.6 we did way better this year than we did last year music and show second off now alot of the kids now feel like all the work we put into this is not even worth it third we were the only ones that got a super low score and we did better than some of the bands
but i do realise how we ended up with it we were the ONLY group 1 (a band with 30 or under) yesterday, we went first which always sucks and the judges were pretty hard on us the Drum Major judge told our drum major he was 2 tenths of a point from being second out of all the drum majors and the reason he didnt get the 2 tenths of a point is because he didn feel like it also we just finished putting the third song on the field the day before including three visuals that are pretty hard
oh well on a much more positive note we can only go up from there and it will encourage us to work harder to get our scor up

seeing our video today i realize that the score we got was somewhat reasonable because we had Three people the stuck out among the whole band The Mellophone pretty much the entire time he blast because he thinks he has to cause he is the only one The Tuba because he was told to play as loud as possible but he only does it some times and last but not least our Baritone he plays loud because he forgets not everyone can play as loud as him and still sound somewhat good cause he takes lessons

yeah, this year we started w/out the closer & all our of members still don't know the music, so our guard, perc & drum majors always get awards, but out ge scores suck, as a wind player i am dissapointed.

Yeah, we got a 69.25 a our first competition... and went up a mere .75 points at yesterday's.
And those who are normally our rivals or friendly competition got 76.70 and 80.65, the best they've done at the second competition of the WBA season in years.

Its awesome and we are so small and our music score is better than some band 3 times our size. sorry i dont mean to brag im just so happy for us because this is the best we have ever done we are aiming for a 86 for our last competition, chapter championship (btw we are in TOB so scoring may be different if you do USSBA or something else)

wait how's this scoring work? because the marching bands i've been too are rated with 1's- through like 4's I guess, and 1's the best.

BOA scores the toughest out of all the circuits I've been in...I like it, though. BOA rocks. B]

Better than mine at least, best overall score I saw in my high school years was a 67.3, and that was my freshman year. It only went down from there.

We get a 69 once this last season. I was too busy rolling around laughing my costume off at the actual number to care that it was so low. > - <

B] I wish we did USSBA because you get to go all over the place thats what my school use to compete in before the band director now got here and i have heard about how tough the scoring is for BOA according to one of our staff members there was a band that got like a 98.7 (something crazy high) in USSBA they go into BOA and only got like an 80, but thats just what i heard
