I have an issue with how many words I write in one post while roleplaying. Usually, I end up with around maybe 3-8 sentences. If I try really, really hard, I can write up to two paragraphs or more. I would like some advice and tips, please! sweatdrop

I honestly hate reading a whole page when someone posts. One paragraph posts are fine I think. anymore than that and I get bored.
I personally think it's more important to make a precise post than a long one. So long as your idea is put across in a way that everyone can understand and enjoy, while still remaining literate, it's fine. A paragraph is usually no less than five sentences anyways.
But I really would recommend NOT throwing your dialogue into the middle of a massive paragraph. It's not done in books, it shouldn't be done in RPing. Speaking of books, I always RP better after I've read one, usually something slightly epic or wordy. Hitch-hikers guide is a good well to draw from, strangely.

Oroburos has very good advice. Aim for precision first. Make sure you're accurately detailing your posts before you try to ADD more detail.
My personal suggestions is... Use DOTS. That stands for Do, Observe, Think, Say. Make sure all of these things are in each post to round them out; don't feel it has to be in a particular order as all well-written texts have a natural flow from one item to the next. And most certainly do not forget that Observe includes all five senses. Even I have trouble fully utilizing that one all the time.

Also remember that RPing is far from all about the action. In most if not all of the higher level RPs I have observed a good half or more of almost every post is about how the character feels, why they act as they do, it helps flesh out the character without actually having to share stories with a person in the story. You might note in TV and movies characters are usually more open than they seem like they should be, talk to themselves, tell secret stories to people they barely know. It's because there's no good way for video mediums to show you what's going on in somebody's head, so it has to go on outside.
Do make sure to keep track of what the characters have been told though, unless you intend to be confusing that could be very confusing.

...i've never even been down to those numbers of words, or sentances;
even from the start of my roleplaing, i wrote at least one mighty paragraph or more -_-'!!
well, i don't know if it would work for you but... myself, i used to write a lot in my sparetime before i began to roleplay. i wrote short stories and even slight of a novel!
what i would reccomend, for you to feel more inspiration to write; find a roleplay about something you really-really like.
also; think about what you're posting.
oneliners and shorter posts usually lack a whole heck lot of things. They just have one character moving from one point to the next, say a reply is simple; Misa blushed. She didn't think Ty liked her. "Thank you"
-that lacks EVERYTHING!!
okay, so working form there;
Her heart thumped hart in her chest, her hands clutching themselves into first holding the rim of her shirt as she heard Ty say that. She didn't... hadn't ever believed, even in her wildest dreams, that he would feel anything towards her. Even less like her... A darkly toned blush rose to her cheeks, and she stuttered a small "Thank you." Not knowing what to do of herself now.
-see? just... excaggerate things O3o!!
things all around are important -can be important!
if you are at a loss of what more to do with your character, you might as well blend in some extras. like when your character is waiting for someone; people don't just stand around waiting for people with nothing going on around them.
so instead of writing simply; She waited for him. He came, and they both went together.
there's AGAIN! -so very much you can use to fill up time!!
It was a little cold, but dressed in her nice and fluffy jacket and thick clothes, she barely noticed it. It was quiet where she stood by the place they had decided to meet; a tree where they usually played on their way home from school. It was maybe a little weird for a girl her age to want to play with a boy, but she liked him. He had always been there for her, ever since they were little, and she liked him very- very much. Maybe, she even-
But before that thought was finished, a sound caught her attention, and she shook those embarassing thoughts out of her mind, seeing him come down the road to meet her. It was probably better not to think of it, just friends. Just friends was just fine!
just fill out the spaces, and your replies can get really-really long, just take a bit of time to think of what you write ^_^!
okay, so one liners might take.. what, 20 seconds to write? 30? and filling it out might draw out to at least ten, or maybe even twenty minutes, but it might be worth it!
you advance, and as you advance, you can also join more advanced roleplays, and maybe learn a few new words and ways to express your characters actions and behavior along the way ^_^-?
well, that's it for me, more or less -but try to think about it when you write; Exaggerate. Little things are important too. People do things, even if they are just standing there. People feel things, even if it doesn't show on the outside.
-think about there, and write them down in your replies, they get longer, and gets much more character to them ^_^!
