I was wondering if there were any artistic members here in ALG. I'm not just talking about drawings and paintings, but any medium that you feel artistically inclined towards. I figured a thread for sharing your work with others in the main forum could be a great way of receiving feedback from your peers. *Please, if you are giving feedback on art that another member has shared, be polite and considerate. *If you are receiving feedback, please understand that not everyone is going to enjoy your work; try not to take anything personally. As well, if someone decides to be malicious with their feedback, understand that it shouldn't be taken personally either. If someone's intent is just to hurt you or insult your work, it's just empty words without any constructive thought. Ignore them and let the moderators handle it.  So, let's see your artistic side!

i mainly do things in ms paint with a mouse or tracpad when i have nothing else to do   i also dabble in photography, though not as much as i have in the past. no money equals no film or darkroom time. plus I sold both my film camera slrs for christmas presents for other people ._.  i can't find any of my b&w pictures.

Ezra~ your pics are spectacular   If anyone knows of Brom, his art, or his books... they are amazing. He is a great role model and inspiration of mine. This is one of his characters from "The Plucker," Angel. This quick sketch was just practice for a much larger project. Angel is sweet and caring and, when put to the test, she is brave.

 By the way, I already know that my proportions are off, I'm fixing that in the final. This is just the rough, but I decided to post for other feedback, plus I hadn't put any art in here yet. EDIT: Better version:

Poetry/Prose: cuz I call it poetry, but others call it prose, cuz there's no set rhythm or rhyme scheme.
No One Bothers To Stop And Smell The Thought Process Anymore:
I awoke this morning not sure who I was
Foreign faces and long lost places
played host to thoughts I couldn't remember
and I was simply drowning in memories that drifted like mist
dreams I'd never remember
tranquil as woods with ravines we could tumble down
which is to say it had it's calm moments
but we peppered it too much for anyone's taste buds but our own
I never much cared for spicy, but now I crave it often
These afterthoughts when you first awaken are confusing
the things you should have fin-
the people you could have been
Waking afterthoughts are the dreams of forgotten memories.
The fuzzy trains you tried to catch, but were never really there
I awoke this morning with burdens too heavy to bear, I couldn't even move
I was stone, heavy and old
Each minute though brought me further into my time
my place, my person
My dreams are not reality
My reality is not my dreams
and Life is neither dream or reality, but a subtle cocktail
hinting of both, and then some
drink
Fall In Spring
It's odd, I've always been a contradiction i think.
The leaves are budding, things are awakening and living.
I'm dying, getting colder... I am Fall in Spring.
It's not your fault I'm sure,
It's just your fault you're not here anymore
to stop me
to rewind me
to remind me
what season it is.
My bones are always cold
I think I'm already dead and just haven't realized it yet.
I have no faith in myself,
I wish I had a strong faith in something bigger
but I'm convinced I'm going to hell
I just don't learn
He grins, leaning over me
He's not you...
He whispers things like he loves me
that I'm beautiful
We both know he's lying,
we both know what he wants,
what he'll do
and I just continue, broken and dead inside
he laughs and I cringe
I've lost myself somewhere,
probably I stayed with you...

 That's a journal cover I did for my friend. He promptly ruined it xDDDDD I'm just glad I had pictures.  That's the back view  A piece from a series of 10 pieces about mental disorders. This one is about schizophrenia. Multiple personality disorder And this is... two lesbians dancing. Because I can. (Hopefully all the links work. sweatdrop )
