Located adjacent to the Six Division barracks, Tsubame's shop is a small and previously unused storage area she was allowed to clean and render for her use. Although shadily construed on the outer face, once you step through the aged shoji doorway, an immaculate and rather roomy shop lies inside. The walls are lined with a variety of silks, kimono and other pieces typically found in traditional Japanese styles. Although this is Tsubame's strong point in her seamstress prowess, she can actively create any style of clothing that she's requested to make.

Little Kitty....

Hisaki smelled fabric. More specifically, he smelled silk. He loved silk. The problem was.. more often than not.. silk did not love him. His claws had a tendency to pop out unexpectedly, and.. compromise, the fabric. Never a good thing. Regardless, the smell of the smooth textiles drew him in like a moth to flame, and before he knew it, he was moving fast as a lightning bolt towards the source. Nearly dropping to all fours in anticipation. So great was his excitement, that before he knew it, he had shifted into his cat form, the small padded feet of his feline alter-ego making swift work of the branches and hill-tops that lay between him and his precious silk. As it turned out, the source of the smell was a rather cute shop. Blast. A shop meant that he would not be able to play with the silk without buying some of it. He spent a few moments sulking, before his curiosity got the better of him and he was forced to move closer.
Within the walls of the shop, Saki found himself very much at home. The shop was very clean, and had plenty of open space for him to move around in, especially as a kitty. More importantly, an absolutely adorable female was present. If kitties could smile, Saki would be. His padded feet struck again the floor silently, swiftly moving his body to where the girl stood, at which point he promptly rubbed against her shin, and let out a long purr. It really was so easy to get close to people as a kitty-cat..

Bustling about her newly refurbished work space, Tsubame took time away from her simple loom in the back room for a long stretch and a bit of a walk to ease the cramping in her left leg. She felt it had been right to move a small portion of her original shop from her old residence in the Rukongai, mainly to facilitate her new ranking as a Vice Captain and also to give her mother a break from stress. Constantly having noble charters for their textile goods had carved ten years of lines into the once spry woman, something Tsubame couldn't stand to see happening to her parent. Never the less, her need to move caused the little Vice Captain to begin setting up a hanging rack to the right of the store.

Carefully selecting a recently painted bolt of azure fabric, she carted the arm full of cloth to the clear lacquered pine shelving. Settling the bolt for a moment, a little bit of shifting had the altered furisode draped across her slim shoulders hanging from a small hook to the side of the rack. Why mistakenly ruin one of her favorites? Now divested, her little hands began unwinding the bolt, carefully smoothing and folding the fabric as it unwound into a near perfect square...until a warm little body rubbed against her leg.

Bringing her mottled eyes to stare at the white cat now forming figure-eight around her legs, she stowed her progress and bent down. "I didn't think anyone kept pets here." Reaching out to scratch behind the white cat's ears, the other lifted to pass over the black striping decorating its back. "Hmm...a stray perhaps?"

Little Kitty....

The woman apparently like kitties.. this was good. Well, he could not be certain that she liked kitties, but at least she didn't dislike kitties, which meant that he got to have a nice ear scratch. It had been a while, after all. He didn't particularly like bouncing about squad eight in kitty form, since the people there knew him, and were likely to cause trouble. Instead, he chose to wander around the less-visited portions of the rukon, and Soul Society, where he would be seen as 'just a stray cat'. He enjoyed the characterization.
After purring for several seconds, he decided that it would be best to have some play time with the pretty girl. After all, she seemed nice enough, and he doubted that she would be the type to attack him if he scared her. Besides, he could take care of himself. The transition from kitty-to-man was rather fast, and consisted mostly a quick hazing of the lines, expansion of the body, and sharpening of the details, leaving behind a much larger white-haired young shinigami, clad in a white wrap for a shirt, and loose black-silk pants, for now he chose to not wear his usual tabi, but he had his tail wrapped around his left arm, and his head leaned back against the girl's foot, with his eyes staring up at her, and her hand still scratching him behind the ears.
"Well now, I would not call myself a stray exactly.. but I'm definitely not domesticated." His voice held a lazy quality to it, and still a light rumble of the former purr, which floated out from his face with warm breath, accentuated by his heated reiatsu.

Surprise was the least of her reactions to a little white cat to the young man she was currently petting. Immediately she fell backward, an 'eep' escaping her lips as her hands hit the wooden floors and she instinctively pulled herself backwards until there was a good four feet between. Multicolored eyes impossibly wide, Tsubame righted herself, and fell into a formal bow in traditional seiza.

"Sumimasen! I had not realized you were not simply a cat." Remaining bent at the waist, a minute of having her badge push uncomfortably into her stomach and thigh was enough before she came back up, her hands folded across her lap. Giving a weak smile, Tsubame was struck by how flustered she was, and by the...less then feline appearance of the 'kitty-man' before her. How inappropriate. Her teachers within the noble circles would be infuriated by such a display, not her own reaction...but the mans.

"Anno...," She started sheepishly, "may I ask your name?" Shifting uncomfortably to the balls of her feet, she leveled as straight and friendly of an expression as she could muster before stating, "My own is Takanashi Tsubame, Vice Captain for the Sixth Division."

Little Kitty....

Saki was definitely having fun now. It seemed that the cute little woman before him was one of those polite types, who, incidentally, were also the easiest to tease. Oh yes, this would be fun indeed. He bent forwards slightly, spinning on his left hip as he did, so that his body rotated as he sat up, turning himself around to face the girl, while simultaneously landing in a cross-legged position.
"Ohayooo!" He flashed a toothy grin at the pretty girl, exposing some of his.. sharper, teeth. "S'very nice to meetcha, Miss Tsubame." His voice maintained the light purr, but was much more upbeat this time, giving him a playful undertone. "S'the first time I've met a full-blown vice captainy-person-thing before." He cocked his head to the side, as if examining a toy, "My name's Hisaki Kedamono, but you c'n just call me Saki, or Saki-chan, or even kitty-cat if y'd like. It really doesn't make a difference to me." He shrugged returning his head to a normal position, then looking about the shop a bit, admiring the fancy clothes-things. "This's very nice work, by the way, Miss Tsubame." He winked playfully at the girl, "You do all this stuff y'self?" It was more of a redundant question really, as Saki's nose would have been able to pick out any differences in hands that had handled the fabric, but he felt that it made for interesting conversation nonetheless.

Remaining with her eyes forward and a mild expression of interest, Tsubame was twitching out of the awkward situation internally. She did make note through it all as to the kitty-man’s name and as a seller, piped up when he mentioned her wares. “Before I became involved in the Gotei Thirteen, my family owned and ran a textile shop…it was, passed on to me and I decided to bring a small portion here for…relaxation when I’m not dealing with Squad relations.” Selecting her words with care, Tsubame stood from her more then proper positioning, frantically trying to think of something both interesting and less awkward for her to entertain Hisaki with.

“Would you like to see how I made these garments,” she sighed out quietly, indicating a move to the back of the shop was required with a raised had before she turned her long hair swaying with each short step. “I don’t usually do demonstrations,” she issued over her bare shoulder, “but it seems you may enjoy it.” Already a bit more secure in the fact that she’d be more centered and less concerned with her run in with the ‘kitty’ once she was behind the loom, she continued her set course, already concocting the next fabric she’d like to weave.

Little Kitty....

Saki was definitely intrigued by the concept of how fabric was made, especially since the girl who was about to show him had a cute butt, and that was definitely something that intrigued him perhaps a bit more than the fabric. Kitties were like that sometimes.
"I'd love to see how they're made." His voice was still slightly rumbly, playful even, but still serious. He was at least curious about the process of making fabrics, especially clothing, considering that he often got very bored with his clothes.
Saki pulled himself off of the floor with little effort, gracefully sidling along behind the girl, wherever she might be going.

Hiroko walked into the shop, just standing in the entrance looking around like he was casing the place. His mask did not ease those assumptions either, but completely apathetic as to how others would see him he just stood there looking around, glancing over the two people every so often, noticing the lieutenants badge on one of them. Finally he took a step forward and locked his sights onto his new Vice Captain, but still he did not say a word.

Stopping mid-stride, a new presence came to Tsubame's attention, causing her to turn back around in the small doorway to the backroom long enough to gaze past Hisaki. Noting the masked man staring intently at her she moved with purpose to smile courteously at Hisaki, passing by with care and hopes that he would be alright with a delay in her demonstration. No, she stopped a few feet from the stranger and issued a small but appropriately placed bow. "May I help you?" Asked with gentle intent, Tsubame's tri-colored eyes remained friendly, however she was turning over images in her head. Dark hair and a mask, hadn't she read a delayed report of a new squad member two days prior? Considering that the little Vice Captain had been busy bustling between her home in the Rukongai, the Sandtable and wading through an ocean of paperwork, it was a miracle that she could recall the single report from the hundreds in the past few days.

Tsubame's demeanor remained genuinely friendly while continuing to sift through the images to try and match her mystery guest to the report, "I was just about to offer a demonstration on the loom process for creating fabrics, but if your here for clothing or anything else, please don't hesitate to catch my attention."

Hiro didn't like the idea of talking to new people. "I'm ... Checking in ... Transferred from thirteen." His voice was monotone and tired sounding. Then he let out a sigh as he added, "Your a seamstress." His left eye twitched slightly. "Its colorful in here." This was more than filling his social interaction requirements for the day, and the thought of this spread the twitch to his cheek. His eyes closed as the twitching stopped. "Are we satisfactory, or do you require further information than the fact that I have arrived safely?" He hoped the answer was no, especially because he knew of another in the room, which would require another introduction.

Many weeks later

In typical fashion, Tsubame was tending her small trade store, after an arduous day of rearranging files, running hither and dither for information and the like. Now, it was detox time, catharsis to let the stress of the day float away and out her shop door. On that matter, Tsubame wasn’t actually at her loom, or hand painting or painstakingly stitching a new garment. She was at her low front table, holding her zanpakutou to the light and eyeing the edge. “Where are you…”

Whispering to herself, Tsubame’s hand, holding a small bit of silk whizzed along the back of the sword and scrubbing at a small spot near the tsuba. Removing the white fabric, she smiled triumphantly as a tiny speck of gray brown rested on the cloth and not on the zanpakutou. Sighing, now that she’d thoroughly cleaned the blade, it was back into the saya and resting comfortably behind her seat.

Little Kitty....

Hisaki sat perched on a branch outside of Tsubame's textile shop, his form in that of a small house cat, complete with tail twitching. He had been watching her for some time now, as per his usual interactions.. and was thoroughly enjoying the way she meticulously scrubbed away at her blade. His own wasn't quite so clean, but it tended to a get a quick blasting whenever he released it. Even if he hadn't done so since his shikai training..
Having waited long enough, he stood on all four paws, stretching lazily and yawning, long pink tongue lolling out of his mouth like some sort of fleshy-carpet. After returning to a normal position, and a few quick hops later, he was sitting on the windowsill of the shop, licking his right paw with long strokes, taking special attention to each finger. He like it when his paws were clean, and he knew that Tsubame wouldn't be able to ignore the loud lapping noises.

"Hello, hello!" Zebediah smiled as he walked into the textile shop. "Is this where Tsubame-san, the textile designer, and Adjutant-Captain of the 6th Division resides?" Walking in he was shocked at the beauty and seemingly perfect seamstress work that was presented here. Forgetting his place, he stared at the textiles as he turned slowly, enjoying the beauty in all the pieces; fancy, but tastefully so.

Finally, his eyes settling on the owner and designer of everything. Her beauty matched the fabrics and beautifully designed clothes. "Well, I've seen everything now..." he said softly to himself, his own voice coming out softly now. "You must be her... Tsubame, Takanashi, the genius designer. How do you do?" Zeb bowed slightly, flourishing as he did. "I am Zebediah Flamstel, Adjutant-Captain of 12th Squad."

Little Kitty....

As the newcomer entered the shop, even before, Hisaki's hair stood on end, and he let out a loud hiss, raising his hackles and ushering a low deep growl immediately after the hiss. With a quick leap, he landed next to Tsubame, shifting out of cat-form in the process, and crossing his arms, sharp claws tapping on his elbow.
"An' who ******** are you s'posed to be?" He raised an eyebrow, and a corner of his lips, exposing a long fang. "That there is my shiny ball of yarn, not yours. Keep yer li'kkle hormones locked tight in them tiny balls. And step off." He growled again, his tail twitching impatiently behind him. It was an unfortunate aspect of the kitty-nature that one could smell hormones and emotions, and this man's smell didn't sit very well with Saki. Not well at all.
