Do you remember your first trade?
If so, what was it like?
Do you remember what it was like when it happened?
Do you have a story to share? This is the place to post it. ;D

My first trade was in the artist alley at Katsucon 2010, back in February. This girl spotted my kandi and got excited and asked to trade. I can't quite remember which piece I gave her, but she said something like, "You know what? You're not wearing enough pink, here." And she gave me this adorable little single that's different shades of pink glow-in-the-dark beads. =3 I was very excited!
EDiT:: Also, speaking of "first trades," it wasn't -my- first, at this past Otakon, I gave one new raver his very first kandi. I took his hand and attempted to untangle one of my singles from my arm and slide it onto his... but it didn't quite work. So for a few minutes we danced hand-in-hand with the kandi connecting us. Then I finally got it unstuck and gave it to him. xDD He didn't have any kandi to trade back, so he gave me one of those little string friendship bracelets, which I have not taken off since the con.

I remember. It was my second rave called Bigtop. It was so legit looking. like how raves look like in movies. That long hallway with the blinking lights and you can kind of hear the music, but then once you hit the corner your ears would be raped with Hardstyle. It was so cool. Anyways I was dancing and their was This girl with kandi up to her shoulders on both arms. I was like "That's really cool! and she said "Thanks would you like one?" and I was like hell yeah. and She gave me one made of buttons that said PLURR in the middle. It's too cute and I still have it. Her raver name was Meow. And I gave her a kandi I made. It was a glow in the dark orange and pink single. It was cute.

D'awwww. I love giving kandi to new ravers or people who don't have any kandi. I gave this girl a kirby cuff as her first kandi and her eyes lit up and she was so happy. I also gave this raver named snoopy a kandi necklace that had a big snoopy stuffed animal on it. He nearly cried when I traded it.
ALso a question to everyone. Do you guys do the Peace, love, and then the trade? This one girl does this handshake but most I know do the whole kandi trading ritual. Arizona is big on kandi.

I try to do it as often as I can, because it's a really sweet secret-handshake type of deal, and it makes me all bubbly inside, but sometimes in the frenzy of "OMG LET'S TRADE" it's just remove and swap.
As to giving kandi to those without: There were two girls handing out flyers for their upcoming cyberlox shop called Head Kandi, and I told them I thought it was really clever that they were calling it "Head Kandi." They said, "Well, yeah, why not? I mean, you've got arm kandi, so why not have head kandi too? But we left all our arm kandi at home." And so I gave each of them some of my "arm kandi" and they said they owed me. xD heart
I love kandi-trading stories... They're absolutely awesome.

They are.
Now onto the dark side.... This ******** came up to me tonight asking for kandi and I say "I'm sorry. I don't have anymore to give out." And he says "Yeah you do. look at all of those on your arm." And I say these are all from other people. And he says "Pft. Mine is more awesome." He had only singles and he shows me a single with a ' gorilla. And I say "Did you make that?" and he says "I don't make kandi. I just get them. And I give out the sucky kinds." That really pisses me off. Like you have no clue.
Oh and a cute story. Tonight I bumped into this guy I haven't seen or heard from in forever. And After we talk and re-exchange numbers we part ways. And I look at my arm and I still have a kandi I made that says "DANCE" And how we first met was at a rave and he was just standing there and I was like "Dance!" And after awhile he starts dancing. So it's really cute. and I gasped when I saw it on my arm and remembered.

I've gotten lots of kandi from people (one at every rave I've gone to) but my first actual trade, for a piece I had made, just happened!
This past saturday I went to a Rave called "Soundwave" and I met the most hardcore kandi kid I've met to date. I don't remember his name but he had the kandi all over his arms like the rest of us, THEN he had singles, cuffs, 3Ds you name it, COVERING his belt. Just hanging off it. I was amazed. He asked if I had any tradeables and I noticed him eyeballing my Bendy flower (you know the big ones with the little happy faces, usually made out of felt or some other soft material) 3D. I said maybe and that was before I even saw his massive amounts of Kandi. He ended up offering a Spyro cuff (pics in my raver blog of all this) with a little spyro figurine on it. It was f'ing adorable, so needless to say we traded. Both cuffs were much to small to slip over 'Respect' so we did our PLUR then just handed them to each other. I'm still wearing it, I love it so much.

My first kandii trade was like...6 years ago, back when Friend Trains were running rampant on MySpace bulletins, and was a total coincidence.
One girl just stood out to me, her hair was this pure black color in the back and purple and pink in the front, in a crazy all-over-the-place style. We started talking and had so much in common, in interests and physical appearance [[face/body]], that we started calling ourselves twins. After a couple of months, we exchanged addresses to be penpals.
I decided to make her a custom piece of kandii that had her rave name on it and mail it off to her as a surprise, and when I got a similar looking package in the mail I thought "Wow that was quick" and saw she had mailed me a custom piece of kandii with my name on it. It was pretty awesome that neither of us had agreed to a kandii trade, and neither of us knew what the other was doing.
We still talk about it today, and every year on our anniversary of meeting, we do a kandii trade. This year she's getting 2 pieces though, since she's getting married and all smile

While I don't really remember my first trade, I remember the first time I was given kandi.
My best friends at the time couldn't go to Otakon with me which sucked because that was where I was going to celebrate my birthday. So they threw me a surprise party and made me a buttload of kandi. It was so nice. c: I'll never forget it~

You take the shades of gray And make them fade away
My first trade was a snail-mail trade through Plurlife, I traded with a girl named NoCs, she sent me a rainbow necklace with a stained-glass type heart on it. I wore it everyday for the longest time, but it broke. So i glued the heart back together and put it up for safe keeping, i don't wanna lose it or anything.
I sent her a necklace with a 3D star on it.
We lost contact after that, and her plurlife was deleted, the last i heard someone said she move to Arizona. It would be rather nice to talk to her again. If only to do another trade razz
You brighten up my day Oh baby won't you stay

My first trade was with a HUGE dude, probably 6.4 and a bit over weight. At the time, I was about 12. He scared me so bad, but then he asked me to trade, and I got really excited. He saw one of mine id made with a mario-style bomb made of perler beads, and it said 'Boom'. and he fell inlove with it. He gave me one with big letter beads id never seen before that said ' S*X ' and even then I thought it was pretty freaking awesome. The rest of the beads on it were blue and pink, and I still wear every day, haha.
