Yes, folks, that's right. Ashy's bringing her art skills to the table and drawing up a SMACK Family Portrait, featuring family members partying hard up in the sky! If you want to be included in the family portrait, please create a Tektek of the avatar you want to represent you in the portrait and post it here or PM EvFaerAshlynn by 11:59 PM Eastern, Friday, August 20, 2010. I will draw up the portrait sometime in the next week and post it here AND on the front page of the event forum airship thread.

So far, we've got avis from: azndreams, iSugarPie, Faebella, EvFaerAshlynn.

Update 8/15/2010:
So, I have two questions for all of you, concerning the Frontier Skies Event. As I hope you all know, SMACK! has an airship in the event forum.

At least one crew has come forward, seeking an alliance with us. This crew belongs to a ship called the Flying Pikachu, as far as I know, but that's not quite the point of the question. What I ask you is: Should SMACK! form alliances with other airships? On the positive side, making an alliance would allow us to spread our message of Peace, Love, Unity, Respect, and Responsibility far beyond our family, to more than just raverfolk. We could also make new friends and meet many awesome people if we ally ourselves with other airships. On the negative, this could mean that, should war break out, we would have to fight with our allies, which could pose a potential problem if two or more of our allies began fighting. However, we could very well declare ourselves to be a neutral crew, despite whatever alliances we make. In essence, we could agree to cooperate with and be cordial to the crews of other airships, but refuse to participate in any warfare that may occur. Keep that in mind when you make your decision.

My second question for you wonderful people is as follows: Should we dock our airship at Port Valhalla and join the roleplay that it contains?

I'm trying to connect airships, shops, and roleplays to create one miniature society. My thread is an rp that combines many roleplays across many thread. I was wondering if you'd want to be a part of it?

Essentially, he's inviting us to join a multi-thread roleplay. My guess is, you don't necessarily need to be a top-notch roleplayer to participate, and you don't need to actually really roleplay. You can still hang around on your own ship if you like. Again, here we have the opportunity to make new friends and spread the PLURR to new people.

Oh, honey, it's no biggie. I like being helpful. And besides, Inner Steampunk saw airships and started drooling. xDD

Thread has been stickied. You guys currently have a little less than 24 hours to vote. If you want to have a say in what we do, hop to it!

So far looks like the majority want to be docked and be allies with them.

Plan of Action: Potential Battlefield Arrangements

When the event formally begins, I will edit the Airship thread in the event forum with a statement of battlefield neutrality, and that we will accept allies provided that they agree to respect our neutrality. I will also PM Crink1 and tell him that we would like to dock our main ship at Port Valhalla. We can still hang out in our thread if we want, but if you want to participate in an inter-thread roleplay, head on over to the port.

We can also start a "Medic Ship" thread. This could be just for roleplay, or, if the event requires attacking users who are on opposing teams, we can set it up as a healing-action thread, in which we will state loudly in the first post that attacking others is strictly forbidden. This Medic Ship thread will be linked in the first post of the main Airship thread, and in this thread. The Medic Ship will not be "docked" at Port Valhalla; she will cruise the skies in search of those who need our help, and tend to their needs.

Since we've got ourselves a veritable fleet of awesome-looking airships from artistically inclined members, we can create an entire fleet of PLURR if we so desire! All we need to do is decide which ship will do what, and do so in a fair and peaceful manner. I'd like to think this guild is a democracy-type thing; everyone's opinions are heard, everyone matters, and we all decide together. The decision of the majority will hold, but the ideas and influence of the minority are very important as well. We are a family, after all.

So, ladies and gents, what do you think of this plan?
