Hi Minna! ^^ If anyone happens to see this this morning please keep your fingers crossed for me. Some of you may remember that we recently took in my husband’s younger brother who was rescued for an abusive home. Well my husband is in court today hoping to get permanent custody of him.
This has been something we've been fighting for since February and today is when our petition will be heard. So any prayers, wishes, or crossed fingers would be wonderful right now! Arigato Minna! ^-^

Bluerockman, you've got a deal. Youcan start joning now. biggrin
Thanks guys! I have been on my last nerve waiting for news for the past 5 hours. I just got the call a minute ago.
We got it!! They tried to push us off for a few more months but we won it! We have custody of James until he is 18 years old. There is still a clause that would allow his mother to try to regain custody of him but with criminal charges pending she would have to go through a long chain of steps and it would take her two years at earliest to get through it all. He is 13 now, so James is out of danger definitely until he is 15/16 and almost definitely until he is 18. Then he’ll be an adult and can live wherever he wants. Thank God! Phew!!
He has been having recurring nightmares about ending back up with his mom so this is a real relief to finally have court documents to protect him. He is officially a part of our family now. Thanks for everyone’s encouragement, prayers, and support. I’ll have to post a picture of us one of these days all together. biggrin

I know how James feels... God bless you that you gave him a much nicer home. I was going to pray for you, but I see you don't need it anymore, so I came to say congratulations!! biggrin

Congratulations! That is very good to hear. My prayers for you and your family, even after the fact, and my God bless all of you. He certainly deserves a good home, and I hope his mother will overcome her own vices in the process. She needs our prayers, as well.
