Let's get back into the swing of things with a quaint little thread. What have you been up to? It doesn't have to be related to the occult or supernatural, but that would help.

Yeah, my recent meanderings have certainly not been anything occult related. Mostly here on Gaia... socialising and whatnot. But on the other hand, I started reading "The Red Book" again.

I would not be able to do it any justice by merely describing how I think it to be in regards to my own experience.But if I were to make an attempt, I would say that it is like uncovering a very ancient/arcane, yet very familiar story/treasure with which one can totally relate to... for it speaks to not only to one's mind but to one's Self.
Think of it as a story that unfolds before your eyes like a flower in bloom. You observe and behold its grandeur and its luster, in utter awe. It not only takes place there on paper, but also within you.
It took me almost two months to go through 200 pages filled with symbols, allegories and images that drove me into a somewhat trance-like state to the point that I could feel those elements arising and awakening within me, if that makes sense.

perhaps this may help you grasp what it is about, on the surface... I suggest you borrow it from the library. I own a copy, but it is quite the investment.

I think that the practical uses are pretty obvious. The main focus in the literature is on two related things: gathering scientific evidence of psychokinesis and providing a theory of psychokinesis. I'm interested in the theory because I don't need that much evidence because of my personal experiences. Reading about the laboratory experiments is interesting and inspiring though.

My focus is on gleaning as much information about the phenomenon as possible such as physical correlations (the physical correlations with ESP and PK phenomena are pretty interesting all on their own), psychological influences, how it is performed, and any theories that may be testable.

My ultimate goal is to make it something useful rather than just a curiosity.

Also, I threw some more words into my proto-book, looking to get it finished up.
