Talking about cats, I like to make cat calls out my window during my free period. My favorites are:
-"Mooooow~"
-"Meeew!"
-"Myaoooow."

I usually meow right back at my cats. Usually shuts em up.
As for the paint, just put a pic up over the offending spot. It'll make you resist the urge to pick at it, and it'll look pretty.... or manly ... you know ... whatever floats your boat.

... That sucks about the confetti emoticon ... I would've laughed at that ... then attempted to make my own and failed miserably
