 Teagan was getting to know this world a lot better, its sights and sounds become familiar to the small foal. The strange smells that saturated the air came from every single thing that was out of the basket. Trees had their own scent, plants, grass, even other soquili. It was still very strange, but he was coming to know it better. But one thing he hoped to never get to know was the dreaded f word….fillies. The very word even uttered in his mind had his bright blue eyes closing in disgust and had him remembering the conversation he had had with a stallion once. Háidēs, a wise, scary monster of a stallion had told him of the frightening disease, and he now knew to stay away from the fillies and mares that were not related to him. If he ever got the Cooties, than he would surely die from it, or even worse, he would become a girl!
Terror lit his features at the very thought, and had the hairs standing along his spine. Shaking his head, he dispelled the very thought from his mind and continued gazing out at the plain before him with the shadows of the mountains at his back. It was quite bare, no other life form in sight but the bright green grass that swayed ever so gently in the light breeze that meandered through every so often. He enjoyed the quiet, but he was beginning to get bored. Perhaps a small trip across the plains and to the river was in order. With the journey on his mind he set out, the shadows fading and the sun burning upon his back now.

A lone spot of orange weaved itself in and out of the bushes and trees that lined the quiet forest around her. The only sounds that filled her ears were the sounds of her little hooves beating against the dirt beneath her, and the occasional sound of birds taking flight to who knew where. Why she was running, she didn't know, but what she did know was she needed and escape from her parents and brothers.
Yes, she loved Aki with his goofy nature, and Enzo with his attitude, but she could only take so much of them at times, and she had reached her limit for now.
Seeing the green of the plains up ahead Nikita quickly stopped and slowed her pace. Maybe this would be a good place for her to rest and take a nap, but, no, not for now, because something had caught her eye.
A lone centipede was making its way in to the plains, maybe to find food or head home, but unbeknown to him, he had caught a follower since Nini had decided to follow the poor thing in to the area to see where it was headed.

The plains were laid out before Teagan, and they seemed never ending. The green grass that swayed so innocently in front of him cast an illusion that made the plains appear larger than they actually were. Or, at least he thought so. He had only been walking for a few moments; five minutes at the most, but to his little foal mind it had been hours, a day, perhaps even two days. He was screwed, and the journey seemed like it would never end.
He could barely make out the tree line that housed the river from where he stood. The more he walked, the farther away it seemed. He huffed and rolled his eyes to the cloudless sky, as if asking for guidance. If only he had the wings he had seen other horses have in the distance. Than I would be there by now, without any chance of running into anyone. His blue eyes fell from the sky and looked to the ground at his white little hooves. Shaking his head he looked around him, and spotted something that appeared orange in the distance. What the heck?
