Name: Seamus Ryan Carnegie Nicknames: Shay (only used by his older sister) Approximate Age: 22 (in actuality, 28 ) Date of Birth: February 3rd
Prophet of: Guan Yin Rank: Prophet
Occupation: Construction worker (officially) and Carnegie mafia member (unofficially)
Personality: Laid-back and prone to switching accents on a whim; mischievous but mellow; responsible; frank; follower, not a leader; extremely superstitious and stubbornly loyal Likes: Hot cocoa; teasing people; reading; avoiding work Dislikes: Hurting people; getting into fights with his twin; being the center of attention; being chained down or in a situation where he can't do much
Powers:
Power One- Jesus Hands. His hands glow blue whenever he enacts this power. He's able to heal large, if superficial, wounds, but it leaves scarring behind; difficult things, such as internal damage or broken bones, leaves him exhausted and sometimes only half-finished, depending on the extent of the damage.
He has an easier time healing disease and sickness. Home-brewed remedies and herbal mixes are blessed by his touch and have a decent success rate; the more serious the disease is, however, the lower the chances of this working. He can also heal disease, sickness, and poisons with his bare hands (like with healing wounds), but it leaves him drained and is only a little more effective.
For now, he can only tend to immediate wounds. But as he grows (far, far in the future), he will become more skilled in this, until his touch is the gift of life that can reverse even things such as permanent damage (like a long-crippled leg, or blindness, deafness, etc.). He might also be able to heal more than one person at a time, but the power will be divided for each person that he is tending to.
One thing to note: his healing is not limited to humans. He can also help animals and plants, and generally has a lot more success with his endeavors in those spheres. Humans are tough.
Power Two- Sight. His eyes glow blue ala The Last Airbender during these times. He is randomly subjected to visions and warnings of past, present, and future. Oftentimes he'll have strong hallucinations of sights and sounds that only he sees or hears, common omens that he recognizes, and falls into something of a self-possessed trance. Usually, he has a difficult time understanding the details of what he's been shown - such as the who, the why, the how, the where - but gets the gist of whether a good thing or a bad thing happened/is happening/is going to happen. He can pretty accurately know when his visions happen, but is not always right; as a result, he may mistake a vision of the past for something that is actually a warning for the future. The downside to this power is that he tends to have constant headaches whose severity increases with the strength of the vision.
In the future he may be able to clarify these visions, control when they happen, and start picking out more important pieces of information.
Note: an unusual side-effect of his Sight ability, is to be able to See things as they really are, or things that other people can't see. He'll often catch sight of things that don't quite live in this world, which unnerves the hell out of him.
Appearance: Hair: Dark brown, a combination of fluffy, curly, and soft that often looks like it is windswept into messiness Eyes: Round, somewhat squinty from laugh lines; grey-blue, somewhat washed out Face: Round and squared; dashed with brown freckles and skin freshly gouged with claw marks that draw across his left cheek Body type: Average, a bit on the shorter side; compact, square, and moderately muscled from his work in the construction yard; covered in freckles from head to toe; pale enough to burn quite easily; his back is covered in a dragon and lotus scar tattoo, and he has more claw marks gouging his chest
Fashion sense: Depends on his whim; usually trucks around in his work clothes or something simple and casual (pants, shirt, unbuttoned button-up), but has been known to show up bedecked in fancier dress for no good reason other than he felt like wearing a tux that day Accessories: Wears a willow-branch twisted into a bracelet on his arm

Guan Yin, She Who Observes the Cries of the World, Goddess of Mercy
Guan Yin is known as the Goddess of Mercy, She Who Observes the Cries of the World, a thousand-eyed, thousand-armed bodhisattva known for her limitless compassion and ability to forgive. According to legend, she swore never to leave the Earth until all suffering had been healed. She is a calm, demure, and kind woman, patient and understanding and oftentimes compared to the Virgin Mary.
To Seamus, she is something more of a guardian angel (rather than a dictator, or a mother, or a friend or sister). She keeps her distance, only lending him a gentle word of encouragement here and there to help guide him along his path.
Godling Backstory:
Around the time when Seamus was eight, his twin fell ill with severe meningitis - the same infection which had recently killed their newborn baby sisters (ironically, twins as well). Seamus prayed and begged God, and then the skies and the earth and the spirits, for his twin to be saved; and refused to leave his side no matter how often his mother dragged him from the room (he would find a way back, whether or not the same affliction hit him). No one heard his prayers, save for a goddess who had long-lived upon the earth, refusing to leave it when all the other gods had all but abandoned it. Instead she slept in the City; but his prayers woke her, and out of mercy she came and healed his brother, leaving Seamus, fast-asleep by his twin's bedside, with her holy touch upon his brow and her blessing.
Since the morning both twins awoke, and Murphy survived, something had been off. Subconsciously, they knew there had been a change, a miracle that had happened; Murphy took his new chance at life as a sign to do all that he wanted, and Seamus followed in his wake. Sometimes, however, he would know things; that a seemingly-innocent road was dangerous, or when not to go out at night, or he'd tell Murphy that he'd seen things and warn him about owls and moons that no one else saw, and tell him to stay away from a street or not to go to work that day. Sometimes, nothing happened; but oftentimes, something did.
Years later, and Seamus found himself surrounded by the Game; a friend and brother to some Players and knowing more than he really wanted to know about the world. But he thought his place had been set - a helper to his friends who fought.
Until the day when the rain fell, strangely cool and soothing in a way that it hadn't been for nearly two decades, and a swallow alighted upon his window. A swallow who became a woman robed in white and decorated with red threads, with dark hair and dark eyes, and a smile so kind and gentle upon her face that he cried at the very sight of it and fell to his knees.
"Mother Mary," he'd known, and old prayers he'd half-forgotten spilled from his lips, but it wasn't quite so. She told him - who she was, why she was there, told him about a young boy who'd had a sick brother not so long ago. And she had looked at his wounds, and he'd known without a word what she was asking; to take up her hand in the Game, to be someone who could continue her work and bring healing back to the world, and he had agreed without a thought. Anything she had asked of him he would've agreed to.
She brushed her hand upon his brow once more, and left - a sparrow out the window, and the rain died away, and the rapture wore off--
And Seamus wondered exactly what the hell he'd just gotten himself into this time.

(Immediate) Family:
Murphy Carnegie Seamus' identical twin. Loud, rambunctious, and overly fond of alcohol and getting into fights. A little bit of an idiot.
Valeriu and Sydni The Godling of Tezcatlipoca and his younger sister. Seamus and Murphy very shortly and unofficially adopted the two orphans into their family line after getting to know them.
Julia Carnegie Seamus' mother. A responsible, motherly woman who enjoys babying her grown boys a little too much. Very calm and patient and used to humoring her family.
Victoria Carnegie Seamus' older sister and hell incarnate. Terrifies the twins. A very professional, working woman - her son, Bobby, is Sydni's playmate.
Lacie Carnegie Seamus' younger sister, and the second oldest girl. A somewhat ditzy sweetheart with a knack for solving crossword puzzles.
Caitlin Carnegie Seamus' younger sister, and the third oldest girl. A tomboy who takes every chance she comes across to seek out adventure and trouble.
Laura Carnegie Seamus' youngest sister. A bookworm with a taste for science-fiction and fantasy; forbidden from reading horror books before bed after having one two many nighttime terrors.
Joseph "Grandpop" Carnegie Seamus' grandfather. A cigar-smoking patriarch with a keen eye for opportunity and a sharp mind. Head of the down-played family mafia that deals mostly in information and small jobs.
Lugh Carnegie Seamus' father. Missing. A light-hearted and fun-loving man like his boys, he recently traveled to Central from Southern as part of a bodyguard unit for a Southern government official, and never showed back up.
Friends:
Tepin Godling of Mixcoatl. Probably the only person he'd consider a friend; although he has plenty of acquaintances, they're mostly on-the-clock.
Sally Journalist civilian and potential love interest. Chicks dig scars.
Padma Godling, deity unknown, powers unknown. A very sweet little lass.
Enemies:
Quinn Godling of Quetzalcoatl. They're actually moving onto better terms, but at the outset Seamus would've rather seen Quinn buried six feet under after a series of affronts and confrontations over his treatment of Valeriu and his attack on Seamus. Currently addicted to Quinn's venom, and learning to tolerate his presence to the point of less caustic, even harmlessly flirty, banter. If given any reason, however, he'd probably still take a shovel to Quinn's face.
