I've been tossing this idea around in my head for a while; what would you guys say to the major mafias having a prize pot? I think it would encourage activity if you were playing for something, as well as up the stakes for those already active.
I have a couple ideas as to how it would be implemented, and I'd like you to share your opinion on what you think would be the fairest. smile
MVP means Most Valuable Player. Basically, the player who was the most influential over the course of the game. MVP will be declared by the game moderators at the end of the game, and their winnings will be on top of what they get for winning or losing.

I like the idea, but what are you going to do about the third party, if there is any? Just treat them like loser?
Also, how high would the prizes be and how do you plan to determine the MVP?

Tried this in a TWG once.
Draken had the idea to make Golden TWG flags for the survivors of the game.
However, the players cared more about getting the prize then winning. It led to an alliance between the Feral, The Seer, and the Psychic Wolf.
As you would expect, this completely broke the game over backwards, since they had the 2 most powerful roles in the game, and 3 dedicated votes besides.
Just a cautionary tale, I suppose.

Couldn't this be solved by giving prizes to the winning team members regardless of whether they're alive or not? That way they'd have to care about winning.

Mhm, that's why I didn't wanna divide the prize just among the survivors. razz And yeah, 3rd party would count as loser. Possibly MVP if they manage to cause a s**t-ton of havoc while they're around.

For example, a Seer that heads a powerful alliance or a Mafioso who manages to get in on the town's alliance and feed their side information. We'd probably ask their teammates to nominate them, since mods aren't able to see out-of-thread communication.
