And now I shall explain in nauseating detail twisted
(thx for the idea purple, hahaha)
I tried to turn on my computer on the morning of june 17 2010.
Suddenly the monitor went off, but the rest of the computer seemed to be still on. Naturally I though that my video card had died. (after panicking few a bit)
Sure enough the capacitors on the video card had exploded. (slitely)
So I took it to "Ribbit Computer" and bought a new one.
But when I got it home, It didn't work either.
So I took the whole computer back to ribbit, and had them look at it.
They pointed out that some of the capacitors on the mother board had died too.
So Now I had to replace the motherboard and video card.
But my motherboard isn't made anymore, and because of that...
I now have to get a brand new motherboard,
a new cpu for it's "special" socket,
and it's special RAM.
Because no motherboards use socket 939, or DDR1 ram anymore.
Unfortunately this also includes the fact that no one uses my video cards plugs anymore (AGE) because now everyone uses the new PCIE plugs.
But I couldn't just get the motherboard and cpu there that I could, because newer ones are also not completely IDE HDD compatable anymore, and are now using SATA drives more.
So until I can save up for a new: Motherboard, CPU, RAM, and Video Card - that's compatable with my "still functioning" HDD(s)[2] and CD/DVD drive(s)[2] - I'm stuck using an old "Dell Optiplex GX270" piece of "refurbished" crap that can't even hold 2 HDDs or 2 CD/DVD drives (due to lack of plastic clips) unless I have the whole processor, gutted and left open as it's running.
(what I'm doing right now)
The worst thing is that it doesn't even have an external video card. I'm stuck using the "Motherboard's Integrated Graphics Chip" - And I'm not even sure what programs it'll be able to play and what it can't.
Heck, I'm afraid to even install my own guild wars game.

The funny thing is...
When I went to best buy (before going to ribbit) I told the tech guys there that I needed a new video card because mine exploded from me pushing it too hard (or something) and they actually seemed impressed about the whole thing.
I guess killing a computer by pushing it to its limits is more impressive then it just dying ^.^ LOL

You forgot to mention that the only reason you have the whole open like that is because you refuse to consider the possibility of using only one hard drive at a time. xp
