The Fierce Deity Vice Captain
|
Posted: Sat Jan 07, 2006 11:27 am
< That said...this was actually an idea Deity had with Ichi...and it turned into this... rofl ...according to the timeline, we're at the early morning of the day after Deity's transformation. He's probably still in Canada, just much lower than CO, in some town that he's ravaging. He's going to be fighting for some time here, before leaving and heading for Europe. Deity'll post until it's 'morning' in Europe, at which point he'll cut off, as that is when he posted next in the CO thread.
He then travelled back to Club Orion, fought briefly with everyone, then ran off again to another city, which is where Deity shall pick it up again. During these intervals, people who never had a chance to fight, or simply didn't get to fight for very long, can do so now if they wish, as long as they don't contradict things they did/said in earlier posts. =O Have fun with that... =P>>Universal-Century My word he is powerful. A real test of our abilities.
Kyle stepped back. He walked through the blast of Havoc energy. A blast of that power could rip any normal man in half and this... thing walked straight through it like it was nothing.
Let me out and we can show him what real power is! He can't stop us!
"You mean 'you'!" Kyle lashed out to his inner self. That's all his personal devil wanted, was a chance to do what it wanted. This was only a taunt to trick Kyle into letting it free.
Will twenty-five times stronger be enough?! Are you just going to fail these people!? Like hunderds before them!? Hahahaha!! Always trying to save lives, even though it usually kills more people than saves!!! HAHAHAHAHAHAHA!! ::The beastly-looking boy continues tilting his head back and forth, eyeing the massive blade with a childlike interest and his face drawing a confused expression. He then smiles at the boy as he approaches, opening his mouth and revealing his sharp canines. In this form he could conjure up his own massive blade, but he really has no need to.
As the Zanbato slices downward, the devil lifts his left arm above his head, his hand loosely hanging down as if his wrist is broken. At the last instant, he swings his left arm upward to oppose the force of the weapon. The sword collides with his arm with the effect of a toothpick hitting a speeding locomotive (Superman!), sending it flying across the room and into the wall - with Kyle no less, if he keeps a firm grip on the hilt.::
.....oops.
::As though his arm just goes numb, it drops and hangs limp at Fierce's side as he eyes the other two Earthlings, a purely contemptuous look soaking into his visage. His mood seems to change so suddenly, and he has a special urge to devour the little one at the wall. This is a feeling he simply can't explain, though there's a reason. Nonetheless, doing away with her in the way he pleases requires the other two pests to be done away with first. The alchemist may prove to be fun, so the monster awaits his next move while turning his attention to the third one - the oldest man that was originally here, at 32. The Red-Headed Devil's blood-stained face twists again into a sick smile.
In an instant his left heel crashes into the boy's face, sending him face-first into the wall, which is barely still standing. Rushing in behind him, Fierce swiftly grasps the back of the male's crown with his left claws, lifting and slamming the sole of his left boot into the human's left shoulderblade. He leans in closely to his head, brathing down the back of his neck as his tail wags gently through the low temperature of his energetic aura. He giggles softly to himself in an innocent amusement, jabbing his right hand into the man's back, which respond by dripping blood down his forearm. With a stomach-churning twist, he clenches his long fingers around the Earthling's spine before giving it a jerk, tearing it right out of his body.
Still giggling childishly to himself, the devil removes his left hand and leans away, bouncing the mass of bloody bone in his right palm like a toy. Without warning, his left foot - still pressing against the human's back - bursts out with a hellacious ki blast attack, totally incinerating the dead Earthling and that entire side of the store building. Ichigo and Kyle are not in it's path, being to the monster's right. The explosive force of the blast rocks the building further even after it dies, smoke and fire engulfing the area.
If the smoke wasn't masking the entire western horizon, one would see a massive chunk of the crust carved from the Earth, like a gargantuan shovel just dug into it. As he lowers his left foot back down to the ground, one can see the Earthling's two feet still resting on the ground, sizzling.::

(( Sooo... Ichi will just post then. )) Ichi kept her face hidden in her hands. She weeped sliently as the people were killed, she didn't want to cause attention to herself, but she couldn't help but cry. She pulled her tail towards her body, burying her face in the soft, short, greyish colored fur. When she went there before the humans didn't really pay much attention to her, some probably thought she was a demon of some sort, and she technically was, but compared to the beast who awas killing more than 5 people in less than half a minute, she was an angel. She lifted up her head, looking at who came in. Someone to probably fight off the beast. More people were going to get killed. She knew it. Slowly, she inched herself towards the back door, hoping the demon was distracted.

Kyle went screaming to the other side of the store, crashing into the drink freezers with such force, it smashed the glass and the racks that held the drinks. Several dozens of drinks fell from their shelfing, some falling onto the Alchemist.
He coughed loudly, spitting out blood. He wiped his mouth with this glove. "God damn..." He said to himself. The young man could hear his inner voice laugh at him.
Come now. You blade is worthless against him even. What now? Throw rocks at him?
Kyle looked at the the Zanbato. It was perfectly fine but then again this demon probably only used a very small portion of his power. Again, Kyle coughed and more blood came up.
Then suddenly: there was this massive explosion. He had no clue, honestly, was had happened but when the bright flash of pure absolute power was said and done, all Kyle could hear was a very harsh ringing in his ears. Kyle knew that some of the building's ceiling had fallen on him, as well.
He forced himself up when his hearing returned. But his body was happy to comply with this order and it screamed for him to stop moving. The only parts of his body that didn't hurt were the ones that didn't have any actual feeling. His head throbbed and he realized that blood was dripping from an open wound on his forehead onto his fake eye.
He dashed forward - but not at the demon - but instead for Ichigo. He grabbed her and picked her up.
"Time to go!" He yelled out as he made a mad dash for the back door he had blown in.
What the ******** are you doing, Kyle!? Ignoring the demon won't save a soul!! Idiot. Let me out and I'll kill him!! Kill him - Something you are too weak to do!!
He didn't want to think about it. He had just realized that Ichi was there and it meant he could save her life, someone he knew.
The State Alchemist put her down right outside the back door, then wipped the blood off his fake eye. His next relazation came that he had lost his sunglasses he wore to hide the automail eye, "Get the hell out of here. Don't follow me back in there."
It was a harsh statement, but true. He could save one life and if that was it, that was good enough for him.
But it didn't mean he was quitting just yet, though. Every life mattered and he was going back to try to save more.
The young Kyle gave a final stare at Ichi. He could see the obvious fear in her eyes. Yet he didn't have any words of relief or hope. Because he felt it would only be false promises.
Yesssssss, feel my power. You want it, don't you? Because you'll be able to stop a greater evil by being real evil. You know I want to fight that beast in the store. Kyle, do not the ends justify the means?
"No. The ends do not justifiy the means. Clever devil. You'll just have to force your way out like usual."
It cackled, Then you know it is only a matter of time, yes? I'll be the one in charge soon enough.
Kyle made no reply, instead he turned away from Ichi and walked back into the store. He looked at the demon, who was all too pleased with his own destructiveness. Anger broiled in the Alchemist's voice and soul.
"Alright demon... I'm going to end you."
You will fail.

::It takes a good deal of time before the devil realizes that his main target has suddenly vanished. When it comes to acquaintances, Demonic Fierce shows the true nature of Deity's feelings toward other people. If Fierce doesn't think any less or more of you than the next person, neither does Deity. If he despises you with every particle of his being, this is probably someone Deity loves dearly. There doesn't seem to be anyone that Fierce likes, though. It can be assumed that someone Deity hates would be able to avoid the monster's wrath.
In any case, the fact that he is aiming to destroy Ichigo shows that she is a friend of Deity's. The fact that the alchemist is trying to rescue her angers the demon. Rather than simply make him grow more powerful, anger causes the single-minded Demonic Fierce to unleash more of his power in his attacks. If one were to make him too angry, he would use his full power in every single attack.
Growling quite audibly in his throat, the Red-Headed Devil leans far to his right, stretching his leg out to his side and preparing to bolt off through the walls and after the girl should she run. But the alchemist, bleeding and determined, returns. The blackness of the mist at his feet spreads out slightly, masking the ground and the blood dripping onto it from the demon's face and hands. It appears like he's taken a bath in blood. The black aura, red waves of flamelike energy streaking through it, rages more wildly as red bolts of lightning-like energy race around the beast. The bolts strike the ground and cause rippling shockwaves that are just more noticable than your own heartbeat, after running a few miles.
His tail hangs limp at his side now as he remains in his leaned position for a few seconds, a lazy and bored expression on his face. He pushes upward lightly with his right foot, kicking himself upright before he retakes his casual 'battle' stance. Fierce begins rocking his head back and forth again to stretch his muscles, before dropping it down and just standing there in silence. He appears off guard, but is actually just waiting for the alchemist to make his move.::

(( RAWR TO EDITING. And Ichi needs to read more. xD ))
Ichi stood there right as Kyle let her down, staring at him as he walked back in. She sure didn't want to go back in there, but she wanted her stuff back. A lot of the stuff was things she needed for her two cats and food for them. She sighed looking around her at all the blood soaked into the cold snow. A lot of the snow melted because of the fire, but the snow still continued to fall. A lot of the people were running still. Ichi didn't want to go back to the Orion just yet, so she sat down on an empty bench a few blocks away from the building she was in. She didn't think they'd go over there.

< xp ...: There should be the two halves of a woman nearby the wall Kyle just crashed into. There are bits and bloody pieces of person all over the entrance wall. There is a man with no face and a gash in his neck just in front of the counter (the guy that survived the first hit and was thrown behind the counter got back up). There are two corpses smashed together near the center of the room; a mother and parts of her child. The child's limbs are scattered in different parts of the store. The wall with the counter over which that first guy was thrown is gone, as is the entire city in that direction. The only people left in the store are Kyle and Fierce, as Kyle got Ichigo outta harm's way...[/summary] < <;; >>

Kyle clasped his hands together, a noticeable 'CLAP!' emerging from doing so. As he did so, angry red lightning sizzling in between his hands, sorching his thick electrical-resistant glove and sending small puffs of smoke into the air.
The Alchemist winced. Such power caused him pain and without the gloves, any use of this ability burned his hands slightly ever at the smallest amount. Thus, he always wore these gloves. They provided the need buffer between his power and his hands. But using it in such amounts like now... even his gloves were starting to break down. And 3rd degree burns weren't fun.
Plus, damaging his tattoos, a vast source of his Alchemy power would be bad. He needed the transmutation circles - the symbols drawn out to use alchemy - tattoos on his palms to bypass actually drawing out a transmutation circle itself.
Careful, careful! Heheheh. Don't wanna hurt yourself!
Now the power travelled along his arms. It was odd, when travelling along Kyle's body, it would only burned his palms: the source of it. Anything else - organic - on his body was spared from the harshness. Now, his automail wasn't so lucky: once he had accidently hit his fake eye with it, blowing it to pieces and further scarring the skin around the eye.
The many tattoos along his body started glowing the same red as the energy, gathering further power as each tattoo increased his alchemic potential. Which he was already more powerful than any other State Alchemist out there.
Indeed you are. And they fear that. They are holding you back. Secerts. Lies. Pointless missions. Lack of promotions. Everything they try to do make sure you don't grow TOO powerful for them to control.
"Unlike you. I have the ability to control my emotions and keep myself in check. I am not a monster."
Continue to tell yourself that. But I think the few tens of thousands you killed in the 2nd Ishbalan War may tend to disagree. Hehehehe. Women, children.
Ah. You were such an awesome person back then. It was fantastic. And then you had to grow a 'conscience'... actually, you always knew it was wrong. But orders are orders right?
But, alas, I'm sure you need to think something to get yourself to sleep at night.
Oh yes - Keep reminding yourself you were at times drugged by the military and also forced to obey orders - everynow and then by a fellow Alchemist more than ready to kill you. Or that you were stupid and young. But even the young know right from wrong.
But you couldn't help, could you? Because once you got to use all of power - you didn't want to give it up. Oh sure... maybe you went 'insane'. You only realized what you could really do with sheer power. And you loved it was all... until afterwards... and 'conscience' formed... again.
Ah! Also, don't forget when these people attacked you - Oh wait! That's because you had to start another war of oppression and dominance! Afterall, Kyle, you State Alchemists just haaaaave to keep 'order' and assert that you are superior to all.
Even if they aren't a threat. Tehehehe. You killed and what's worse - you enjoyed it. And those Red Stones. Such POWER!! You power jumped... what a hundred fold? Two hundred fold?
Even now you attempt to deny that you are a killer, a murderer. A slaughter just like the one before you. Because you fought for a 'just' cause? Tehehehe. Justice was served then.
Justice was served.
And you loved it.
Oh. Before I forget. Don't forget the military's use of me. I loved it too. I really did. Such fun, fun, fun. If we're lucky, we'll have a 3rd War.
And you can have some fun too. Hehehe.
Kyle yelled out in fury as he hurled two powerful, massive bolts of Havoc energy straight at the demon standing in front of him. And he wished he could do the same to the demon inside him.
The two pulsating red lightning bolts of death formed into one, more destructive beams. They blew apart everything it touch - perhaps to the point of pure disintergration. The toughest metals melted. Tiles blew apart, the dirt ground itself - several feet under concert foundation - was even torn and thrown into the air.
There were three parts of the Alchemist's rage: Rage at the demon who killing and murdering thousands of innoucent people.
Rage at the demon inside him, who had also killed and murdered - especially those Kyle had held dear.
The last rage was directed at himself. Because of his sins.
Because some sins could never be forgiven.

::The entire time the alchemist is charing the strength for his maneuver, arguing and fighting the torment of the demon within him, the devil in the collapsing store building almost appears to be sleeping. Not much is going on, and he is displaying a rare occurence, in which he is interested in an opponent's attack, and waits for it to arrive. However, waiting too long will bore him into unconsciousness. He doesn't exactly have much of an attention span to work with.
Then, a heavy rumbling takes place as the huge beams of Havoc energy are fired towards Demonic Fierce, rocking what is left of the building and shattering the tiles below. Dust, chips of the building structure, and fluorescent lights that no longer work fall from the ceiling as the beams collide and twist together to form an amazingly powerful attack. All of this racket appears to awaken the beast, who blinks a few times before lifting his head, his blackened eyes half-open until he sees the technique.
The 6'4" devillish creature widens his orbs slightly in excitement. What a bright and sparkly-looking attack this bug is using. His lips curl back in an insane grin, the smile not matching his eyes, that are disturbingly blank, yet wide with ecstasy. He appears to be a lunatic, unafraid of this monstrous weapon of destruction.::
...this....w...won't...
::The words don't make it all the way out of the demon's mouth as he sees the attack, his blood-drenched canines shimmering in the light of the red lghtning. His own aura - the blackened red-streaked soul that surrounds him - flares wilder and wilder, the ground at his feet twisting and contorting before exploding altogether. The crimson electricity grows more violent as it twirls around him and tears through the ground, the dark mist swiling like a tornado at his feet. Splaying out his two-inch claws at the end of his slender digits, he leans forward and places his right foot forward, his presence booming with his ki. Opening his mouth wide, a childlike giggle of excitement escapes. He speaks a few last words...::
...kreh, nothing can...
::A loud boom, followed by an explosion, rings through the area, further demolishing the store and causing it to completely collapse, falling straight down and on top of the two fighters. Though it first begins crashing down over the devil monster, masking the entire area with dust. However, there is no silence, the rumbling continuing as chunks of rock begin to lift from the ground and float high into the air. Larger pieces begin inexplicably rolling up along the mounds of rubble before lifting off of the ground and landing with a bang several meters away. It's comparable to an average earthquake as everything shakes uncontrollably.
The dust is blown clear away before one can see Fierce, standing in the exact same position as before. While it is hard to tell - as he is covered in layer after layer of his victims' blood - he doesn't look injured. The dust in the air clings to the gorey liquid, his mouth still gaping as he glares directly in Kyle's direction.::
...that.....you hear that...?
::A staggering explosion. A shrill scream. Even as far away as she is, should Ichi even still be in this city, she had better have a hold of something bolted to the ground or she'd be sent into the sky. Buildings are rocked, roads are cracked, small objects and people are flung through the air as an airborne shockwave blows the clouds away like dust in the wind. The store remains are suddenly no more as ki erupts from within the demon like an ancient volcano, emanating the most deafening of sounds, enough to pop the eardrums like ballons.::
KYRAAAAAGHH!!!!!
: biggrin emonic Fierce unleashes the Scream. He charges his lungs with every ounce of his ki and releases it in the form of an explosive shout. The effect is a rippling blast of energy that destroys everything in its path, with an effect so swift it can tear your skin right off at close range. The Scream destroys all that is left of the shopping store building, sending its shards in every direction like deadly weapons. The lethal attack now races at Kyle at an extreme velocity with the power to possibly kill him, let alone turn the space behind him into 100 square miles of scorching flat rock.::

(( ^ ^'' Geez, Deity, Ichi was gonna read it even if it wasn't... xPP ))
Ichi sighed, hearing the rambling going on around the city, most people were dead, a lot have already ran or drove pretty far, some probably were in the existant houses. All off a sudden, she heard screaming, then... BAM!!! Ichi flew backwards, a pressure that she didn't know of hit her in the middle of her back, knocking the harsh wind out of her, knocking her out. And of course... She was hit so hard she flew up pretty high, enough to kill her when she landed, but since she was unconcious, she couldn't do anything to break her fall.

And this how the "Havoc Alchemist", Kyle Berus, feels right about now.
You don't remember starting to run away after firing a blast of Havoc energy so powerful you sorched your gloves. You also don't remember grabbing that motorcycle - also not knowing how that blasted thing was still even there.
All you know is that you are fleeing for your life while the voice inside you whispers: You won't be fast enough. So, you twist and turn between debris and rubble, trying to speed your way through this falling-apart city.
And then you believe God Himself opens up the skies to unleash a scream of such fury that you are thrown from the motorcycle and sent skidding down the road, tearing apart your jacket and skin.
That doesn't stop you, however. Adrenaline is pumping throughout your entire body and every nerve is telling you to run like hell is after you.
Because it very well may be.
Because for a man who can run almost triple the speed of the best Olympic speed runners, you know you aren't running fast enough.
Suddenly, something hits you like a ton of brikes. You realize, as your chin hits the ground, that you just caught someone's fall.
You cough up some more blood but you know that at least none of your teeth are broken. A silly thought, perhaps, but it means one thing: You're alive. For now.
You jump up, your metal limbs groaning slightly as they are reaching their limits just like the rest of Kyle's body... and mind. You grab the person and realize that once again - it's Ichigo. Somehow, life was full of surprises.
And you run and run as the world around you collaspes, buildings crumble, people are crashed by debris. Others are running and screaming. And you feel like crap because you can't save any of them.
Tick tock, goes the clock. This... excess weight is slowing you down.
"Then her fate will be the same as ours," you mutter to the voice that currently resides only in your mind.
And thus, your running goes on.
Because this is what it's like to be Kyle Berus: Full of fear and worry, but yet sure enough that you'll be able to save at least one life today from the demon destryoing all. And this gives you all the energy you need to run and fight on.
[[And yes, I did steal this little writing technique from Matthew Stover for those who read this particular novel I'm referring to. =3 I thought it'd be nice to try out it for this post to give a bit of insight in the mind of the character.]]
