Chapter 18: Tip the Scales
Solaris was yawning, paws outstretched before him lazily. He was just settling down for a nap when the door to his office burst open and Lloyd rushed in, dragging behind him Vito.
"...can I help you?"
Lloyd replied by slamming down the book he'd been toting around.
"Ever heard of it? The legend of Rebirth?"
"Any relation to the guild of the same name?"
"A lot of relation actually, the guild was created from the legend and by the Pokemon of the legend."
"...the mastermind? The one who ignites the worlds destruction?"
"Yup. He is suppose to help reshape the world, but apparently he's decided it doesnt deserve being here any longer. He's trying to awake the god of destruction and end us all."
"...how...how do we stop him?"
"...I can help you with that." A voice commented from the door and both the Pokemon in the room turned.
"You..." Solaris started, but was cut off by a hand.
"...what do you know of rebirth? From what I've discovered..your far more dangerous than the damned guildmaster of the place."
"More than you'd think. After all, I'm second in command of the guild and...I have no idea what your talking about. I'm here to help."
"The only help you'd give is no help at all. Since...you are the god of destruction."
"Absurd. I think I'd know if I had the power to wipe out the entire Pokemon race."
"Yeah, but you do. At the hospital you completely annihilated an entire section of the building. Or did your girlfriend leave out that part when she explained what happened to you?"
Alfred frowned at that, the Weavile made a valid point but he had yet to believe that. I mean, of all the Pokemon in the world he couldnt be the only one who could do something like that.
Could he?

"So you werent even a member of my guild at all?!" Selena snapped, furious at the news and had to be restrained by her partner from leaping at the Gardevoir in a rage.
"I honestly cant believe the Guild of Rebirth would do something like this, it is suppose to uphold peace isnt it?" Spira said, still holding the
"Regardless, I think the guild should be here for this. I'd like their opinion on what our next course of action should be. Damn, you'd think we had enough problems with that psychotic nephew of Vito's and those humans, but no...we have to deal with the core guild going insane too. I need to retire. Sheesh..."
The Espeon trotted over to the alarm and struck it, leaving Lloyd standing there and glaring at the Gardevoir next to him.
"...What?"
"...I'm on to you."
"Pardon?"
"You cant fool me, Gardy-boy! I know of your evil scheme!" He pointed an accusing claw at the psychic who just blinked at him in confusion.
Solaris stepped back over and slipped between the two to avoid any further conflict as he awaited the guilds arrival.

  Incultyr && AltusWhen the alarm ran, Incultyr and Altus were out in the courtyard. The Riolu had his back against a tree, his face burried in his arms atop his knees. The little warrior was crying, having only just come back from the warrior's plateau. Incultyr sat next to him, giving his friend silent comfort. Incultyr looked up at the alarm, concerned for Altus, but the Riolu insisted that he was alright. The guild called, and they answered, heading for the Great Hall.   Atra && ShermanWhen the alarm ran, the first thing Lilium did was teleport into the living room where everyone was ready to head off, screeching at Chase and Katara. The two were mostly healed, but Lily wouldn't hear about them leaving. Atra and Sherman slipped out of the room themselves, letting the ditto-Skarmory and Vulpix trying futilely to talk to the shiny Cyndaquil.  ZeroZero, Zosee, and their newborn kids were going around the castle, teaching their kids to walk and run when the alarm was ran.
"I'll answer it." Zero told his mate, nuzzling Zosee before sprinting off, confident that the Electrike will keep Zoey and Zora safe.

   Noelle, Eve and Dash
The alarm rang out once again, and this time the whole team responded right away. They came to the guild center and awaited for further instructions. A quiet squeak came from Dash. It was his first alarm and he was nervous. Eve tried calming him down by saying it was probably no big deal, but he wouldn't listen. "They're the worst, Dash. If you aren't careful, you will die." Noelle turned her face on Dash after muttering that to him and he started crying. Maybe it wasn't a good idea to bring him.

Dammit all to hell. Raven was terribly disappointed to the fact that his team and himself were just out on there way for an 'ice cream' celebration that he was vigorously looking forward to when suddenly they were sidetracked by an obnoxious alarm that beckoned for their arrival. Sheer hate for the cruel cruel world was etched on his face as he stood there with great impatience.

   Team HTPNAs the alarm ran throughout the guild, Team HTPN jumped from their current locations towards the origin. The Chinchou, was Zelos, leader of Team HTPN. The Sunkern, Sheena, was second in command. The Aron, Kurogane also known as Kuro, was the powerhouse of the three, and the first recruit. The three raced towards the Great Hall, where, Zelos assumed, that all the other guild leaders were there also. This was the first time that Team HTPN has encountered a guild alarm before, and really none of them knew what to do. But when an alarm goes of, you have to do what your instincts tell you to. Zelos's instincts told him to go to the Great Hall, where the alarm signal was originating.

  Zori & KaiZori and Kai came up behind Lumon, Zori's golden eyes narrowed with thought as she scanned the crowd of gathering Pokemon for signs of danger. She recognized a lot of familiar faces, and some unfamiliar as well. Alfred was there, as were Spira, Selena, Solaris, and Lloyd. Whatever was going on had to be important to gather a group like that...
Kaiyou growled quietly, echoing the Eevee's thoughts.

Tolin and Puer walked into the hallway. Tolin had managed to convince Serrin to keep himself tied around Puer, but the young Bulbasaur's neck craned from side to side as he tried to take in all the sights around him. It was the first time he'd been in the hall when an alarm was set off. The three had been out for a walk in the hopes that it would pacify the child's endless energy. And, unfortunately, it seemed there was little way to get back to their room to leave him in the safety of home. Albus was staying in the room with ASAR and Sam, caring for the latter after his surgery. Tolin's eyes scanned across the room, resting on the group in near the alarm. Alfred was being antagonized by one of the Weaviles. Tolin recognized him as being from the hospital, though he hadn't the foggiest what the Weavile did there. Selena was barking angrily at her guildmate for some reason.

  Vito---&--- AryanVito ooked around lazily at the scene.
His life was soon to end anyway, so he had no real say in any of this.
"Just put a knife in his neck and be done with it?" He suggested with a shrug.
"I don't think that would work, my good man."
A Sneasel with his arms crossed came into view.
Upon seeing Aryan, Vito wheeled around and punched the Sneasel dead in the face.

"VITO!" Lloyd had rushed to the small red mohawked Sneasel's assistance at the sudden exchange of blows.
The guildmaster ignored him and continued.
"Everyone, we have some dire news. It has come to my attention that the Guild of Rebirth, once thought to uphold peace between the six core guilds, has become corrupt. I dont wish to enter a war unless necessary, but from what I am told allowing the guild to go on as it is will result in the destruction of our world. We must make a choice. Now..."
Solaris angled his head back to look at his sister and the Pokemon standing behind him and then gave the Gardevoir there a grim smile.
"You want information on him and everything I assume. Well, for starters this wont be easy at all. There will be death, casualties,this is a war you cant win at with out suffering major damage to your guild and members. That being said, 'Teacher' is a Mewtwo."
"A what?!"
"A Mewtwo. More specifically the SECOND Mewtwo. There was the original and then there is the Teach."
"...we will be fighting a war against the most powerful psychic type in the world?"
"That sounds about right, then theres th-" The Gardevoir paused, words cutting off instantly. The green pendant swinging around his neck tightened to his throat and both blind eyes opened, revealing black with green catslit pupils.
"...not again." Lloyd muttered, before turning to bolt away from the Psychic just as the room lit up with a bright green flash, the lights overhead all blinking out one by one.
"Hello world, it's been so long since I've seen your blue skies. Now I must splatter them with red."
The glow receeded, the lights on but dimming to barely light the area.
White teeth flashed, blood spilled over sharp canines and puddled on the floor around deadly claws.
"...today totally just got worse."
"Look out!"
"...so...that...is the God of Destruction...I was right, but...what about the light of Arceus supposedly waking it up...unless....OH. It's not fully awakened. We can defeat it...possibly...Arceus help us..." Lloyd muttered, though unhappily for he had hoped his guesses were innacurate.

Incultyr && Altus Altus listened blankly as the situation was explained. Damn it, it's just bad news after bad news wasn't it? Incultyr stood firmly beside him, taking it all in. The Guild of Rebirth... Then everything was interrupted by the Gardevoir suddenly exploding into Arceus-knows-what. Both members of Polaris stared as the monster appeared unnervingly close to them, and both knew instinctively that this was something dangerous, something they had to destroy or it would crush the guild and kill their team mates. Incultyr gathered a dark ball of energy in his hands, shooting it at the creature. Altus hesitated only a second before breaking out into a charge at the thing, putting all his momentum into a jabbing punch. (-2. Chaos, mind kicking Altus really hard?) Atra && Sherman "Holy Smokescreen, what is that!?" Sherman cried out, skidding to a stop in the main hall just in time to see a giant glowing...green...thing. Atra stopped right beside him, staring at the monster and shook his head. He had no idea. "C'mon, let's help." Atra muttered, bounding down the hall towards the brewing fight. Zero Zero is still heading towards the main hall, he was rather far away when the alarm rang.

Zori & KaiKai bared his teeth in a snarl, charging forward and helping to pull the Weavile away from his lover, putting himself between Lloyd and Aryan. "What the hell are you do-OH F***." His words changed dramatically in the course of a few moments, as Alfred... transformed.
Whatever he was now, he was sending chills up the Marshtomp's spine. What the hell was he?
Zori's eyes went wide. "...ALFRED?!" She cried out, shocked. She'd heard about what had happened at the hospital... but this was insane! The God of Destruction... This was horrible! She shook off her dismay, and leaped forward, shooting off a Dark Pulse at Alfred's chest to try and press him back, away from the Pokemon around her. He was dangerously close to the Guildmasters, and they were top priority.

Vito---&--- AryanAryan rubbed a little blood from his nose and spat to the side.
"What the ******** is your problem, old s**t?!" The Sneasel hissed.
Vito shrugged and cracked his knuckles.
"Sorry, you're the spitting image of your father," He explained.
Aryan muttered something and stood up.
"Kai, it's alright, hun," He said, kissing the Marshtomp on the cheek.
He was totally unaware hat Kewnew was right behind him.
The old Weavile then turned and winced as the beast before them appeared.
"... I hate this fortune cookie s**t..." He muttered before shooting an Ice Shard at the God of Destruction.
Aryan turned around and blew an Icy Wind.

Noelle, Eve and Dash
A huge monster/beast appeared where they were standing and interrupted the guild leaders talking. It said something about blood, which made Dash squeal in fear. "Oh...my...You LIED to me Eve, this thing isn't 'not a big deal'! It's a huge thing!!!"
Guild members started to attack it and Noelle and Eve launched themselves into the fray to serve their guild. Dash stayed behind but then caught up to his fellow team members. "Hey, Dash, let's attack this thing." Eve smiled at the Pichu and quickly Mega-Drained the beast while Noelle hit it with a powerful Body Slam.
