The lakeside cavern faces west, allowing Aoaka a lovely view of the sunset every evening. The cave itself is only partially submerged at low tide, with a bit of pebbly beach off to the left as you enter that gets covered at high tide. The beach wraps around the outside of the cave and widens to join the larger beach, gradually getting more sandy as it goes. The water is shallow, only about a foot and a half at low tide, and about 3 at high tide leading up to his cave, which keeps any of the larger animals that might wish to visit him away, but about 30 feet out, the depth drops suddenly.
The inside of the cave is wide and inviting, but mostly submerged, and the cave itself is no more than 25 feet deep. It is about 10 feet tall at the highest point, and there are several knobs and protrusions that don't qualify as stalactites hanging down that don't reach more than a few feet. The sun lights it to the back, except during midday (and of course, nighttime) when the light inside dims, though not enough to need other sorts of lighting, due to a hole in the roof. When it rains, water does indeed come in, but to a Naiad, that's not a hardship, and it isn't any great amount anyway.
He keeps it fastidiously clean of debris that might float in from the waves and tides, and stacks the driftwood outside the cave, at a spot above high tide on the beach. There are a couple of shelves inside the cave that are situated just above the high water mark. They are simple affairs, made with driftwood tied at the joints with simple woven grass ropes. On the water side, there are some almost level spots that also serve as shelves. One of these has been widened with a platform he built that holds Debi's cradle. Along the beach side, there are a few protrusions, that while not exactly comfortable, could serve as chairs, if padding were provided. Aoaka is still working on how to achieve this.
He has dug a firepit on the beach, to make it easier to cook dinner, and for the possibility of someday holding a night time party. He lined and ringed it with smooth black rocks he found in the lake, polished by the water, and uses the wood from his driftwood pile to make fires. It is about three feet across, so it's good for several Pae to sit around. He'd like to make a grill for it, but he's not sure how to go about doing so.
The most recent addition is more of a plan for the future than something to be used right now. With the addition of Debi to his home, he has built a playpen outside, near the firepit and under a tree, where she will be able to play safely.

He is a friendly Naiad, and so a few of his meetings have blossomed into friendships, and in a couple cases, something even closer.

~: He met Bellisma, though they didn't talk for very long. He was too preoccupied with not making a fool out of himself to truly notice her reactions. He would definitely like to meet her again, if she were willing.
~: He met Hula Bob on a trek up the beach, as well as several other denizens of the establishment. He thinks Hula Bob is a great cook, and a good conversationalist.
~: Luau Lulu and Tiki Jim were also met at Hula Bob's place. Aoaka helped teach Tiki Jim how to swim the last time he was at the bar and grill, though it didn't take much effort, as Tiki Jim seemed born to it. Now, though, Tiki Jim is almost grown, and Aoaka hasn't seen much of him since then. Luau Lulu is as nice as ever, though Aoaka was a bit surprised to find out she doesn't mind cheating.
~: He met Jazz at the Hula Bob's as well. Since then, he's met up with her in several other places as well, and looks upon her as a good friend, and someone he'd go to if he had a problem or needed advice.
~: Serefina was met in Tuatha Ri lake one day just after the transformation, where they all found Jazz, who explained a bit to them about Naiads. She seems nice, but he spent most of his time paying attention to Jazz, so he doesn't know much about her.
~: Dax was met at the same time as Serefina, and they didn't speak much. Aoaka is worried that he may have somehow offended the other by approaching their conversation with Jazz.
~: He is very respectful of Elder Hi, and thinks he is very strong and courageous, but he is also a little afraid of the quick-to-fight elder. He doens't think he would measure up very well, if it came down to the fight Hi thinks it will.
~: Ah, Polgara! What started as merely a respectful relationship has blossomed into something that could very definitely be love. He's still in the giddy stages of his feelings, and can't think of a single bad thing about her.
~: He isn't quite sure what to make of Coronus. She is kind, and knowledgable, but she seems a little bit strange to him. She talks as if she knows what is going to happen, but how could that be? He thinks she is somewhere in between Hi and Polgara, which might be better than either.
~: Debi is the infant that Aoaka somehow adopted. He isn't sure what the Guardians were thinking, but he is definitely going to do his best... if he survives. He thinks she's adorable, but she's a very demanding baby.
~: Arahnaih seems like a very nice Pae. She definitely has a knack when it comes to calming down Debi's screaming fits. Aoaka is grateful to her for helping him figure out how to do so.
~: Coral is a charming young Naiad that he met while out with Debi one day. She helped keep the toddler entertained for a while, and then they parted ways.
~: Tawny and Aoaka had a very nice discussion while their children played in the sand. He would like to meet her again sometime.
~: Cutter seemed like a good friend for Debi, despite being a bit older than her. He was kind and polite, like his mother.

Aoaka's change into a Naiad came as something of a surprise, but luckily, he'd gotten someone to take a picture of his previous forms before this happened. He doesn't want to forget what he looked like. They are currently stored in a dry place in his cave, inside a small cabinet built from driftwood.

Rime has a long and convoluted history that would take a while to type up, so here is the short version. XD
Rime is a dragon by birth, and so her ability to shift back and forth between human and draconic forms would make her a "were-human", if you will. She studied for many years to perfect her change into a human form, and uses it to go among the human(ish) population of Gaia and fit into their society better.
She wanted to learn more about these small and short-lived beings, how they interact, their motivations and such, but as she did so, she became so immersed in what she was studying that she came to love it. So now she lives mostly in the human world, a rock in the stream of its passage. She raises children that she has adopted, holds a steady job, and is generally unremarkable unless one knows her.
Family-wise, Rime is the child of an Air and a Water dragon. Children of these mixed relationships are always pure, never half-breed, and she herself is a variant of the Water type, an Ice type. He closest cousin is is Igneos, often called Iggy, and he is a Fire type, born from her mother's side of the family.
Rime does not 'hoard' as most dragons do, collecting treasures and gold and gems. But, she does have probably one of the most extensive libraries in the world, squirreled away in a cavern of which the location is known only to a few. She has it magically protected against light, vermin, mold, and moisture, and has several golems whose job it is to make sure nothing happens to her precious books and scrolls.
Age-wise, she is very young for a dragon, only somewhere halfway between 300 and 400 years old. Igneos is slightly older, though she acts more mature.
Looks-wise, she is a pale creature in all her forms, human, anthro, and dragon. Her human form is tall, with toned muscles and long, knee length blue-silver hair. Her eyes are gray, her nails are black and hard, and her ears are pointed, as are her canines. Her anthro form gains several inches, as well as muscle, and can vary in shape depending on how far along in the shift she is when she stops it. Wings, tail, spined crest, claws and snout are all variables. In her draconic form, she is 15 feet long, rather small for a dragon, and is considered a runt among her kind. Her scales are white, and her wing and spine membranes are a very pale blue. her eyes, spines and claws are black, and she breathes puffs of mist, due to her breath being generally colder than the air around her.

The Guardians are pleased that you have chosen to grow and expand your role on the island.
However, drinking a strange potion doens't come without consequence. You feel urges and instincts that you never have. Your hands tingle a little bit, alerting you to a change that is beginning in your body.
Maybe its obvious to you what is going on, or maybe you need time to figure it out; it doesn't matter right now because the reality is, you now have the ability Water Dragon! (Elemental) ((Obviously, this ability will start out weak, with many limitations, but it is up to you, rimedragona, how you choose to develop it. Water Dragon means that Aoaka is able to create a dragon out of the water. In the water it will be like being hit with a huge unexplainable underwater wave. On the land, he needs to be near water to make it jump up and attack, like a well or a puddle or a bowl, etc. This ability will be unique to Aoaka only, however you may allow her to have other abilities as Pae'il are magical creatures. Just be aware that the Guardian Blessed ability is the only official one however. If you have questions, feel free to ask. Please remember, all powers come with weaknesses too. The more well-rounded the ability is developed (ie, strength AND weakness) the better the chance of being chosen for Elder when they are older. ))
