I can't say that I have. I'll keep it in mind and look it up sometime when I have a bit more free time.

Nazo Koumori it's really good, aside from paris getting killed and helen getting raped, both by Agamemnon sweatdrop Agamemnon just had to have signed another death wish on there, didn't he? stressed If i ever have a role-play party wind up having to gather an army to head to an expedition, i hope the circumstances have enough of a massive difference to cleanse off most of the fail.

I found the movie had a favoritism for the Trojans. The only really nice Greek was Menelaus, and he was meek and slightly depressing for most of the movie. It was obvious that he liked Helen, which made me want to see him even more often, but it wasn't like so. I didn't like how Agamemnon raped Helen, either, because I don't remember that being in the myth. Also, they completely forgot about Castor in the movie, and Polydeuces(or Pollux) cannot die because he's immortal. I wanted to see Ajax and Hector fight, actually, because that's my favorite part of the myth. Ajax is only mentioned once, by Cassandra, once she's locked up. He's not in the movie. I sort of imagined Achilles to be prettier, also. If he had just disguised himself as a girl, I'd expect him to look better, not bald.
That's my take.

Odysseus was always saying bad things, and from what I found, he didn't look smart at all. Diomedes wasn't in it, unfortunately,

I loved how it stayed close to the actual myth. My friend and I were so into the movie, that when Clytemnestra killed Agamemnon, we cheered.

I don't even know if Diomedes would have had his personality kept intact or not, if he was kept, regardless of whether or not he actually had to fight tooth and nail just to drive off Ares, and succeeded with Athena's help. This isn't good, if Odysseus was an imbecile in the movie. How are they going to do a movie about the time when Odysseus travels to find a way back to his homeland?

The only real problems were the ones that Mnemosyne described, when it comes to the missing heroes on the Greeks' side and how Pollux wasn't supposed to be the killable of the two Dioscuri[that was Castor, who's either his twin-brother or half-brother, depending on which source version you'd gun for!] Otherwise, i hope that Clytemnestra killing Agamemnon was as fulfilling as it should be, but did Leda actually survive long enough to care for Agamemnon's two children with Clytemnestra, at least?

Oh, I LOVED when she killed Agamemnon! I was like 'yes!' as she stabbed him in the pool. And well, Leda was dead. In the movie, she threw herself from the walls of Sparta because she was raped by the swan(Zeus). So, no, she wasn't alive. Yet, there was only one child living of Clytemnestra, Orestes, her killer. The daughter was sacrificed so by Agamemnon so that they could reach Troy.

Its no more than the cad king deserves especially for helping to give birth to the Black Trojans, and making the Romans bring karmatic payback upon the descendants of the Greek Invaders, even though most of the descendants of the invaders didn't deserve it! if you ask me, especially when the Gods should have been able to slay him, themselves!!!![I can understand that Aphrodite was too busy worrying about Aeneas' survival, and maybe i can grit my teeth on Artemis not being permitted to directly help with the killing during the Trojan War, herself, but the other Gods???What the Tartarus gives on Ares failing miserably to slay Agamemnon, even if he had to drive out Diomedes to do it?(And Diomedes was a badass, too, as he fought tooth-and-nail to fight off Ares, even with Athena's aid!)] Aww Man....Orestes' sister got killed off too early! gonk Did Aeneas appear and survive at the same time, in the flick? His survival is a big deal in itself.

Well, Artemis didn't really have much to play in the war. Yes, Agamemnon did boast that he was better than the goddess, which meant that he would have to sacrifice his daughter to reach Troy. Some myths say she was saved at the last moment by Artemis and transformed into a huntress. I like that version better. I think they did want to kill the General. He upset the gods numerous times before, and they did want him dead. Yet, they concentrated on Hector, Achilles and Paris instead. No, Aeneas was not in the movie at all

No, Aeneas was not in the movie at all Amen to that, as it would be completely like her to save someone at the last moment if and when she has to do so. Alas, his death got delayed and it took his wife to slay him. *goes to re-read that part in The Aeneid where the closest thing to seeing Aeneas kill Agamemnon would come in Aeneas slaying Mezentius* Blast it!!!!*wishes to headdesk or get some wine made of purely grape juice*
