Event Creation/Suggestion Contest!
One of, if not the last contest of the Endrance Appreciation Week, this contest opens the floor to you as a member of the Guild to come up with an idea for an event, a side-plot, or something in a similar vein which [if victorious] may be permitted to take place in the Guild.
The details of the event are entirely up to you, though they should follow a few simple guidelines for easy comprehension.
Come up with your most creative event idea here and let us carry on with our celebration for just a little while longer... Quote: Event Creation Contest Guidelines1. You must create an event which could feasibly take place in this Guild's canon universe. If you think something might or might not fit, provide details as to how it could work [say, if you wanted to have a zombie outbreak, note that a particularly deranged summoner unleashed from the Dark Realm an initial horde of X Zombie Guards, the demons from Devil Summoner 2]. 2. You must outline who [if not everybody] would be able to participate in your event, in what ways, etc. 3. You should outline what exactly will take place [the general idea if not the entire plot], where, when, why, etc. Answer the important questions so that we understand what it is you want to do. 4. If there are to be any prizes for the event, give us an idea what they might entail. 5. Provide detail, but don't go too crazy with it. Post a general outline of your idea here when you are finished to have it judged. 6. More rules may be added as necessary. [Please note that any and all ideas will involve some level, if not complete control over the event's happenings, if accepted. Please don't make an idea under the assumption that you will be running the show and I will not.]

Quote: Event name: CUPID DAY! People available to take part: Anyone The general idea: Everyone in the guild, be it Embryon, black messenger, Nanjou, or otherwise all puts on a hat. Blue for boys, pink for Girls. The goal is to take the hat of whomever it is you truly like, and if you have it at the end of the day, you are fated (one way or another) to be together forever! *or at least in your wild fantasies* Anything is allowed to obtain the hats, save for killing and horrible mutilation. A person may only wear one hat at the end of the day, and it will not be their own. Naturally, this has little to no impact on the real story, being a minor event just for the lolz and to uplift spirits. Prizes: S. links bonus and many many lolz and crack pairings. Naturally non-Canon of course.

Quote: Judge Reviewing: Great Ryoman! Judge's Review: I don't like using a demon as strong in Devil Summoner as Astaroth now, I don't like the emphasis on dragging the I.Team, Shadow fighters, into it, and I don't think everyone needs a customizable weapon drop to make things that more confusing when I get hit, with a 25% chance of charm, but my counter strike could totally 50% fear you, so you're running away from me and I'm chasing you like a creepy stalker. But I don't mind that it's an idea involving battle, the fact that you have it in such an orderly fashion makes it much more impressive than the other 'challenge' events, and the prizes don't sound too bad as long as you limit who gets them a bit. It's simply a great idea, but the details could be toned down a bit, to have less of an impact than some of our most important storyline events so far in the guild. @_@ Quote: Judge Reviewing: Arena Emperor
Judge's Review: Generally, I echo most of Ryo's sentiments. Could work, but something like that would probably be more of a major plot event than a side event. Event Name: A Visitor People available to take part: Investigation Team/Agents of the Yatagarasu/Possibly others (Case-by-case basis) The general idea: A powerful visitor has come through the Akarana Corridor, a strange passage that links space and time, and taken up residence in Inaba's Dark Realm, causing considerable unrest among the already-agitated spirits that haunt the area. Enough unrest to warrant an intervention by some local specialists. Raidou Kuzunoha the XIX has invited her underlings and the Investigation Team to journey into the Dark Realm with her in order to let them gain some experience in fighting Demons instead of Shadows and help to protect the town... Specifics: Once the participants are gathered, Raidou will take them to the Dark Realm, where small groups (size may vary slightly depending on the number of participants, but around 5 per-group is expected, intended to be of similar power levels so as to avoid relying overmuch on one or two people) will split up and fight 2-3 opponents tough for their level (~1 Tier above them), but not boss-class, finishing in the participants having a major fight against the Tyrant-order demon Astaroth, who is definitely boss-class (2nd Tier) and arrived in Inaba called by the troubles. Upon leaving, Astaroth will make suitably cryptic comments about Inaba's immediate future... For convenience, the groups will move to threads set up in the Events subforum for their group fights, then return to the 'Nameless Shrine' thread (used for the Dark Realm) for the fight aganst Astaroth. Prizes:-Demon Level-up (To Summoners, for participating in a major fight as per their usual way of strengthening their demons). Astaroth himself will not be able to be convinced by a Summoner to join him or her, though the other opponents can be. -Customized Weapon Drop (To Investigation Team members, as a chance to up their equipment; those who received an item fighting the Reaper will receive a Magatama of their choice as a one-use elemental bomb item instead, due to having recently upgraded their equipment. Decently strong, but not overpowering, weapons will be accepted, and effects are subject to Arena's approval.)

Quote: Judge Reviewing: Great Ryoman! Judge's Review: I like the idea over all. The overnight camping could be cut out, since some people tend to leave events much too early, and a contest involving everyone could get a bit tangled. But overall, there's nothing wrong with this that would hinder it from working as is, and that's an impressive statement! Contest Entry #1 Event name: Paint battle Royale! People available to take part: Citizens of Inaba aged 14+ age limit is 25 The General Idea: After the attack and lockdown of Inaba, people would like to set up an event to temporarily keep people's mind off the disaster, everyone who parcipatates will be given proper equipment and a choice of Paintball weapon and ammunition, there are even special paint weapons and See-through Umbrellas! (For defense)! it's a free for all match for the grand prize, if you get shot by a paintball, your equipment will sense it and you'll be disqualified from the game, groups are recomended, but it's not required and it's accepted to go solo, this event will take place in a enoumous building with obstacles, rooms, hallways, arenas, and places to set up defenses or ambushes, this event is overnight and camp can be set-up, this event will go as long as it takes (With food set all over) in other words, this will be one hell of a game! (Note: Kiyo Arutseo will be providing all of the Paintball guns and special paint weapons) Prizes: 50,000 yen and a Life-sized Teddy Bear!

Quote: Judge Reviewing: Great Ryoman! Judge's Review: Not bad, it doesn't have much relevancy to the plot, but that's a good attribute in and of itself if you want to get the character's minds off of things. The contests and fun would have to be a little more outline, so we know what people can try for, but otherwise a fun event for plenty of people in Inaba to attend is exactly what we're looking for! Event name: 光のテケテケボール! (Hikaru's TekeTeke Ball!) *Note: Teke Teke is a ghost*
People available to take part: Anyone that is willing to be a good guest
The General Idea: Kagaki and Megumi has a whole open dinner Ball comming to town for Hikaru! Its here to liven up the town and mabe mingling away with future friends and forget the bad things that happened. There will be fun games and prizez and social links. Champaen for the older people and Sparkling Cider for the rest lets kick off a new generatoin of hope with a bang at Hikaru's house. There is also a Monster Ball theme going on so please wear some of you're whackiest costumes. There will be food provided and many contest to await, Mabe a party vote of whos the best dressed, the best couple, and many more. Mabe hopes for the best is just around the corner? Prizes: Social links, fun activities.

Quote: Judge Reviewing:Necromonium Judge's Review: I think this would work out very well for the guild, personally. Nothing quite like a Risette concert to lift everyone's spirits. I personally think this is a good idea, so long as we could get our Rise to post. Quote: Event name: Risette Homecoming Concert! People available to take part: Anyone. The general idea: Rise, the popular rising idol now trapped in the Inaba lockdown, has decided to give a concert to lift the spirits of everyone in Inaba! The celebration should be enough to give people something to cheer up and talk about, and because Soji and Rise want to do everything they can for Inaba as bearers of the truth, she's putting on this impromptu show which anyone can attend! It's informal, so while there are tickets being sold, the price is practically negligible and some people will even be let in at the door! The emphasis on reviving Inaba's spirit to fight and protect itself, rather than showing people the crumbling areas they can't fix, is something that will hopefully attract all the younger generation and inspire helpfulness in the best of Inaba's students and adults! Prizes: One lucky attendee gets to spend an evening with Rise! The rest of the rewards are up to you. (Social links, etc.)

Quote: Judge Reviewing: Rednal Judge's Review: As part of the actual plot of the Guild, I don't think this would really work. Sorry. However, if you decided to write up this scene as an Omake, I honestly think I'd laugh harder than anyone else. ^^ Quote: Judge Reviewing: Great Ryoman! Judge's Review: For so many reason, just...yes. I'm pretty sure it's something every character could get behind. All of them. Ever. Think Raiden doesn't notice those DAMN harems!? Quote: Event name: Harems are Wrong!People available to take part: Anyone and everyone! The general idea: After much debate and controversy, the people of Inaba have snapped, all coming to a unanimous decision that harems are wrong, causing them all to form an angry mob and bludgeon to death beat up the young man who started the recent polygamy 'craze'; Rednal Ak'thias. Prizes: "S. links, and a heartfelt thanks."

Quote: Judge Reviewing: Rednal Judge's Review: *Snrk* I could see this being done as a game, actually. A number of participants each join up, and text messages/posts from a neutral character (read: mule account of the killer for maximum anonymity) give instructions to them about who does what, as a Murder Mystery game. Otherwise, waaaaaaaaaaay too Death Note-y. Funny, though. ^^ Quote: Judge Reviewing: Great Ryoman! Judge's Review: As long as the snarky parody comments continued, I would find this event endearing. XD Anyone who hates Death Note gets to put on a beatdown on a badly crafted ripoff, and anyone who likes Death Note...also...gets to beat up a badly crafted ripoff...^^; Arena Entry #1 Event name: Just as Planned... People available to take part: Heroes [possibly villains also] The general idea: A string of mysterious murders in Inaba area as a result of similarly unique and unusual cause strikes fear into the heart of the people. Then, one night on the news, a message is sent from a man claiming to be the killer that accurately predicts the death of a well-known Inaba citizen along with several others. Having earned the title of Kira from the news, the killer continues his quest to 'cleanse' Inaba of its sinners with his mysterious power that doesn't even require him to be near or in the same room as his victim. Unbeknown to all, the man wields a mysterious power...[Persona or a Devil, perhaps]...and with it, each name he writes in his notebook becomes a victim soon thereafter. The town is frightened...the people fear making any false step and becoming the next victim...and it's up to Inaba's finest [no, not the police] to unravel the mystery and put an end to this badly-scripted Death Note ripoff. Prizes: A couple of items earned in minor skirmishes, and a major item for the person who takes down the culprit. Quote: Judge Reviewing: Rednal Judge's Review: Wonderful! Everybody likes tournaments, and there are some characters who would enjoy being ring-girls! Yuno would. Unfortunately... this is pretty similar to something we've already had, and the entry comes right on the heels of another multiple-competitor fighting competition, making it distinctly reminiscent of those things. In that regard, though it does have its differences, I'd say we're want to wait for some time before having any event of this nature. It's a solid idea, but a little too soon to be repeating things. Quote: Judge Reviewing: Great Ryoman! Judge's Review: As the FIRST major event we were ever going to have, that still hasn't happened, and with the ability to pull in anyone interested, I still think this is a grand idea. We have plenty of fighters in the guild who use hand to hand skills too, so we'd be laying down the smack pretty hard for them, and Akihiko is just...well...XD I wanna see him BOX for once, DAMNIT. Arena Entry #2 Event name: Japan's Finest Boxer People available to take part: Male characters ages 16 and up [main portion], others may come as spectators. The general idea: The long-awaited Japanese Featherweight Title Fight for Akihiko Sanada has finally come! Held at the newly-constructed outdoor Arena near the outskirts of town, Akihiko challenges the Japanese Champion for the belt! But before the main event there must be an undercard, and Akihiko, hoping to showcase some of the talented young faces he's seen coming in and out of his gym over the last few weeks, is making space on the card for the pro and amateur debuts of several of Inaba's young warriors. Those who wish to participate in one of the opening bouts [any male ages 16 and up] may sign up, pass a physical, find a place to train [it will be assumed you've been training for at least a little while], and you will be matched with an opponent you must box on the undercard of the Japanese Title Fight Event! It's a chance to showcase your fighting ability with the eyes of the entire nation on you! And a chance to set the stage for Akihiko's ascension to the rank of Japanese Champion! And for those who aren't fighting, cornermen and spectators [and ring girls, even] are more than welcome! Prizes: 30,000 yen to show, 30,000 yen to win. And special prizes for Fight of the Night, KO of the Night, and Best Young Prospect!

Quote: Judge Reviewing: Great Ryoman! Judge's Review: Sounds kind of vague, but it makes sense. And it reminds me of something from Megami Tensei, so...^_^ b Not a bad idea, since it doesn't necessary require powers or a lack thereof either. Event name: Crowd Control People available to take part: Both those with and without powers The general idea: Not every person in Inaba can handle the continued murders, the failure of the Police Department, and the shunning of the government so readily. Strangely most of the people who have been complaining about it, have suddenly become quiet lately. Anyone who wants to investigate can help unravel the plot by a group of some Inaba citizens to attempt to break out of the lockdown, and then alert the police or help take action to calm the citizens down. Even if things are harsh now, provoking the army will only make things worse, and nobody wants to see each other get hurt, especially now when they need to work together more than ever. Prizes: Reward (Item from the Police for helping stop a possible crime, and preventing anyone from getting hurt), possible weapon (if you suck and piss off the worried citizens), a special social link event because you're working together to assuage people's worried hearts and minds during the crisis.

Contest Entry #2 Person Reviewing: Great Ryoman! Review: Not bad, but it doesn't have much relevancy to the plot either. I think trying to snap shots of the supernatural would be a good way to get not-supernaturally-involved characters who have as-of-yet not obtained powers, begin to realize something funky's going on. Well, you know, more so than before. Event name: Movie Contest! People available to take part: Anyone willing to Parcipatate The General Idea: After all that has happened in Inaba, a fun contest will be set-up in Inaba, teams shall create a 5-10 minute long action movie that must contain supernaturalness in it, the best videos will be competing against eachother for the grand prize, the last two competeters will be perfoming live with costumes and special affects, have fun! How it will work: From all the videos there will be 8 chosen, from those 8 they must create a drama video, the best four will be selected and must create a horror movie, the best two from the four will be performing theirs live and can select any type of category, the winnner will get the prize Prizes: 15,000 yen and an awesome costume as a reminder.

Quote: Judge Reviewing: Great Ryoman! Review: Religious...parade...idea...>_<;. Well, there's nothing wrong with it, I just don't think some of our members *cough*theoneswithharems*cough* would be very interested in performing it. Overall it's about average with the rest of the event ideas so far, but maybe the fact that you spelled out a reward more specifically (and that you're trying to shut down those evil strega bastards!) can be the deciding factor. Event name: Restore the faith! People available to take part: Anyone not aligned with evil The General Idea: After Strega's broadcasts, local religious institutions have begun to fear loss of membership. From Bhuddist and Shinto shrines to Christian churches, all are in need of keeping members devout. Thus they have banded together and proposed a religious pride parade; people are to make inspirational floats representitive of their religion to take part in a parade downtown. Each float is depict a scene involving the god or deity of that religion in a benevolent and legendary act. Then a contest will be held where the floats are judged upon appearance and inspirational value. Whichever is the most awe-inspiring float wins! Hopefully, this will inspire people to be faithful and not go to Strega for salvation. Prizes: 30000 Yen and a free meal at one of the town's finest restaurants (winner's choice) to first place, 20000 to second, and 10000 to third. That free meal is large enough to be shared, so it could be an S. Link opportunity!!!

Quote: Judge Reviewing: Great Ryoman! Judge's Review: *Kai walks in* -boom- *Kai walks out* ...xD Yeah, it sounds great theoretically, but since in the past year Inaba went from one murderer (Adachi), to about two dozen, this guy's life expectancy would be shorter than Vulcanno Rosso's in Vendetta. 8D If you know what I mean. Event Name: Lord and Master People available to take part: Anyone The general idea: The Government does not want people to starve, so they've been airlifting supplies to Junes on a daily basis to feed the people. Unfortunately, the Owner of the store (who was in town) has gone a little nuts himself from all the insanity going on, and he has declared that he must be acknowledged as the undisputed ruler of the town (with all the power of a dictator) before food will be given out again! Those who don't listen don't eat! Will people cave in to their hunger and bow, resist to the bitter end, or find a better solution...? Prizes:-Food

Quote: Judge Reviewing: Great Ryoman! Review: Very macabre. o_O; I'ma uh, a little worried about the whole 'claws out own throats' thing. Also, in reality my biggest complaint is that it's only for Devil Summoners. ^_^ b *Doesn't believe in anyone else going into the Dark Realm*. Perhaps toned down a bit, it'd be a good Shin Megami Tensei event for the guild, but at the moment I see those as two major flaws for everehbodeh. Event Name: Inaba Syndrome Open to: Anyone, most notably Devil Summoners Event Details: People have begun acting strangely during these terpulent times. Violence is on the rise, and many seem to be loosing their minds. Believed to be a result of the stress from the attacks on the town, doctors admit many to the hospital for observation. Things soon take a turn for the worse, as the patients' symptoms progressively worsen with time, ultimately kill themselves by clawing out their own throats. After the first few occurunces, doctors mobilized to get the rest of who they had restrained and sedated. To the summoners, the situation smelled of demons. Traveling to the Dark Realm, they set out to uncover what is causing this and why. Prizes: Items (weapons, armor, etc) for the summoners, demon level up.

Quote: Judge Reviewing: Great Ryoman! Review: I love it. We could stand to remove the uh, tea party part though...xD Find some other way to kidnap half of the city? Of course it lacks a "little" bit of relation to the plot, but...who cares. 8D Its. Awesome. Quote: Event Name:The Tipsy Toad Tea Party Open to: Everyone Event Details: Yoshizo Yoshimura, newest member of the Black Messengers, has become quite bored with his day to day dealings with the dark arts and has therefor planned out and prepared a tea party for the inhabitants of inaba. The dark haired maniac has run around town leaving nicely printed invitations in everyone's mail boxes (Yes even you Naniyori can come). The tea party however is (who guessed it) a trap. All the wonderful warm tea has been spiked with a tasty rhino tranquilizer and all the cookies are filled with sedatives. Upon waking up all of the tea party participants will find themselves in a large hedge maze cuffed to someone of the opposite gender. The object of the game is to find one's way to the exit without killing, or horribly maiming, or even hurting the person you are hand cuffed to. Prizes: Everyone: S Links. (With the person you are cuffed to most likely) Two Stacks of Waffles A Platypus Weapon This is me spilling ideas straight from my head to paper/computer
