 Haruki finished setting the table for dinner and looked up at the clock waiting for the rest of his family to finally get together and settle down for a meal. With all of them so busy at times, it was hard to get them all together at one place at one time.
It was hard, but it was life. He was sure that every parent felt this way at some time or another. Happy to watch their children grow up but also remorseful when they grew beyond the need to be constantly tended too.
Ruki sighed and looked at the clock again. With any luck at least, Dray would be home soon.

Bright orange eyes peered out from the foliage surrounding his home, focusing on his multi-coloured son as he pounced on a bug. Rolling his eyes, Dray smirked, happy that he at least had the instincts to hunt. Slowly, he detached himself from the background. The patterns on his fur seemed to move, ebbing and flowing over his body, blending with shadows and greenery until he stepped out in the light.
A set of matching orange eyes shot up, looking at with a smile. His fur pattern matched his father's, other than the pure white music notes he shared with his twin sister. And maybe the colours he'd gotten from his mother, those certainly weren't from his father. "C'mon, Dad. We gotta hurry up and get inside before Moma gets mad that we're late," he smiled, flicking his tail to signal for the larger, older male to follow him into the house.
He snorted, padding swiftly to his smaller son's side. "Your sister will probably later than us. You know she has her ways," he growled, his ears flicking back on his head. He didn't like the fact that his daughter was away most of the time. She is a gorgeous young vixen and there are many dangerous weirdos in the area, at least, as far as he'd seen there were. He huffed, the tip of his tail twitching in irritation as they crossed the threshold into their home.
After wiping their paws, Dray immediately darted into the dining room, wrapping his mate in his arms. Another point he did not like was the time they did not get to spend together. Nuzzling his mate's neck, he purred, "Roki and I are home, my love. And the view is gorgeous." He knew his mate would realize that he certainly was not looking at the table or room in general. His oddly bright eyes were focused directly on him. He saw nothing but his smaller lover.
A delicate cough announced their son's entrance along with a polite, "Ew." a moment later, he wriggled his way between them, wrapping his arms around his mother. "Hi Moma~! What's for dinner? Oh! Wait, no. Surprise me," he sang, kissing his white furred cheek before wriggling away, humming a soft song as he sat back, trying to catch whiffs of the food.

Kairi was out and exploring the world in everything that she could. And infact, it was the world itself that held her attention, not the others really in it. She had seemed to find a deep interest in nature. She would be gone for long periods of time, just hunting, exploring, even getting lost in the sway of the breeze or the shifting of stars.
For the most part, she stayed away from others, and was able to find the more remote areas away from them. She was more than likely naive, however, because she never really was concerned about any real dangers, and at least if there were any that she could handle herself...
She was late as usual, yawning and slipping in quietly. She smiled at the smell of her mothers awesome cooking and made her way over, nuzzling Haruki's shoulder a bit. She wasnt much for words, but she liked to at least express herself.

Ruki blushed at his mate's teasing. "Not in front of the kids, you." he said nuzzling him back, but also giving him a little jab in the ribs. He then hugged his son and chuckled. "We'll just wait for your sis--" he cut off as she slipped in and made her way over to him. He smiled as she nuzzled him and he gave her a quick hug back. "Hello, Sweetie." he said letting her go and then motioning to the table. "Well sit down. Its nothing fancy just pasta tonight." he said sitting down and opening the pot on the table to reveal the food inside.

Dray chuckled, smiling at his mate's blush and nuzzle before he gave him a quick--and well deserved, admittedly--jab to the ribs. His eyes flashed, a small, soft growl rumbling from his throat as he bent his lips towards the lighter male's ears. "Feisty tonight, aren't we? Besides, he walked in," he whispered, giving him a quick playful n** on the shoulder and a grin.
Hiroki rolled his eyes, though he couldn't hide the smile plastered to his face, as he watched his parents from the corner of his eye. They couldn't have been better matched, in his opinion. His father was... Well, he couldn't really decide what he was like. He just knew he was a great hunter, and smart, though it really didn't show through much because he had a habit of not thinking before he spoke.
Dual bright orange orbs lifted upon Kairi's entrance and matching grins spread across father and son's lips. Dray was the first to move. Lithely, he moved to his daughter's side, nuzzling his cheek against her shoulder. "Hey, there, baby girl," he murmured, happy to see her safe and well.
With an exasperated sigh, mostly for dramatic effect, Roki moved to squeeze his sister in a hug and pull her to a chair next to him. "Find any new places? I always love when you show me what they look like," he gushed to his opposite twin. He was a coward, he would admit it. Traveling and the need to adventure did not pass to him, that was for sure.
"Just pasta? Love, your cooking is always delicious," Dray smiled, moving to pull out a chair beside his mate. The scent of the food was intoxicating, and he hadn't eaten all day. His stomach rumbled loudly, making him realize he was starving.

Ruki watched the children have their moment before quickly serving dinner after his mate's stomach rumbled. "I do what I can." he said, sitting down himself, and curling his tail around his back legs.
"Well seems you all went out and had adventures today." he chuckled and slowly began to eat waiting for which ever member wanted to volunteer a story. He knew his day was boring in comparison, but he couldn't help it. He was a real home body and enjoyed tending to their home and keeping things straight and tidy. A hold over more or less from living with Cortana who kept things immaculate in her home.
Besides he had other things to keep him busy, his twin for one, and music for another. And that suited him fine.
