My mother borrowed FFIV from a friend of hers when I was five. She didn't let me play it, but I'd watch her play it herself. The game intruiged me and I always kept an eye out for it (there was no Gamestops back then). Finally when I was nine I found it at a rental shop and of course I just had to rent it. They ended up giving me Final Fantasy Mystic Quest instead... So technically that was the first one I have played rofl
Anyone else care to share?

I've always been intrigued by RPG's before. I keep seeing the menus for attack, item, flee; it was very different. My first RPG was Final Fantasy 7. I got addicted to it. Well, not Final Fantasy, but RPG's in general. But that's how I got into Final Fantasy.

I took a FF quiz on FF-fan.com. And got Yuna, so I asked my fiance who she was. Then he took the quiz and got Tidus. Since I took that quiz, I wanted to know more about FFX. So with my next paycheck I bought a PS2 and FFX and FFX-2.

I found FF-X2 one day and have been addicted ever since, I've played through X, X-2, 12, and I'm making my way through 13 and the original now.

I was a kid, and started out with Final Fanasy 1 for the NES... and ended up playing that over and over along with Dragon Warrior 1, and then eventually 2-4...
Good times. It's what got me into RPGs smile

Gosh... I think I got into it since I liked rpg games, and I borrowed FFIII (original, not VI) from a friend. From there on, history biggrin I'm working through IX and XII right now, and am saving money for a PS3 and XIII while dreaming up my own FF plots XD

I always loved RPG`s and games like Pokemon, The legend of zelda e.t.g and when i came across Final Fantasy XII i just had to purchase it myself, i love the character`s, the storyline, the art, the imagination in these games. i just purchased Final Fantasy XIII for the Xbox 360 2 weeks ago, and i love it just as much as any other Final fantasy games ive played.

Well... Lets say my brother played the game right before my eyes for his and "My" first game. [This was VII]
And then.. we got hooked up with the games. After VIII came out we decided to try out VIII too. Turned out for me. VIII was a huge dissapointment for me.[Fails moments and etc!]
Final Fantasy IX came out! Whoo[This is my favorite] again. We decided to buy it when it came out. When I saw the first surroundings and the intro I was completely in love with this one. This is acually the first final fanatsy game where I got to the end[But I will always restart when I'm close to the end hehe.... Bad habit lol]. This was my favorite. Well.. Thats how this all started kinda.

Huh..........
When i was 8, my dad bought the DVD Final Fantasy 7: Advent Children. I loved the film.
Two years later, I started playing Final Fantasy 3 (6) in the Super Nintendo emulator. A year later, I got my PS2 and bought the game FFX. Since then I am addicted to Final Fantasy games.

I've always watched my brother play FF (Tactics, 4, 8, X-5. XII *now XIII*). And one day I just picked up FF XII and played it- and fell in love. I haven't played any other ones (besides XII for the DS- practically a sequel), but we have more. So after I finally beat XII, still haven't- been doing the side quests, I'll play them. And then defiantly 7.
I just took the test Vanilla I3unni was talking about and I'm Vaan, apparently. I like him, at least. (I am like him, though, just not so naive.) whee

I got into it by watching other people play it. We used to have shops who cater to gamers and let people rent their consoles in their shops on an hourly rate. I would just hang out and watch other people play, and I got so interested in the story that eventually my sister bought me a console (that was ps1 then) so I could play at home. xd
