You are cordially invited to Ortus Isle, for a Pokemon Festival. This is going to be the event of the century! There's so much to do here at this mysterious island. There will be plenty of food. A grand tournament where only the greatest of trainers from all over the world will be competing. Pokemon Contests for you Ribbon seekers out there. An amazing seminar given by the esteemed Professor Oak himself, rare pokemon ripe for the picking, and so much more. This is invitation only. So you know you have been handpicked personally. Please do come and spend the weekend with us. It will be one you'll never forget! How you get here is completely up to you. But we have taken the liberty of sending shuttles to the appropriate locations in each Region. Some examples are Vermillion City, Olivine City, Lilycove City, Canalave City, Etc. StoryYou wake up one morning and receive this letter. Be it in your mailbox, by Spearow, whatever the case, you're invited. It sounds like a great opportunity to test your skills. Little do you know what the truth behind the festival's objective is. Team Rocket is planning to steal all the world's greatest trainer's pokemon with the help of a new secret weapon. Deep within a hidden base on Ortus Island, Team Rocket has been working on a new Pokemon. This Pokemon is the most powerful one to date. It is called Mewexpletus. The perfect Mew form. It has no weakness and is smarter than any human or Pokemon. It is also a killing machine. Will our invited heroes be able to bring this monster down? Let's hope so. What's happened so far...Mr. Ortus' guests have arrived at the island. Everyone waited for the festival to begin on the beach. Many trainers interacted and got to know each other a little better. Even certain trainers showing signs of affinity for others. Oak arrived soon after and met up with Mr Ortus who led him to the main plaza. Oak didn't really trust Mr. Ortus completely. Soon, Ortus called all the trainers to gather in the Main Plaza. He gave a short speech thanking everyone for attending and directing them to the large buildings on either side of the stage. One was the Battle Dome, where the Tournament wold be held. The other is the Contest Hall, where the Contest will be held. The trainers signed up for either one or both and waited for more direction. While this was going on, one trainer's Lucario went off on it's own and discovered a peculiar cave. Inside he found some strange men dressed in black. Before he could give pursuit, a Scyther attacked him and he lost their track. Soon after, an announcement was made that the Contest was about to begin. All contestants and spectators are making their way for the Contest Hall. The first round of the Contest is about to begin... The Coordinators competing had put on some amazing appeals for the first half of the Contest. The crowd roared with excitement with each Coordinators act. Backstage some tension was going on among a certain Lucario and a Lopunny. The final appeal was about to begin when the trainer was interrupted by the enraged Lucario. The trainer was furious about the intrusion of her appeal. The Lucario accused the trainer of being at fault for his lost love. The Lopunny refused to share the same feelings for him. "You mean nothing to me." She said. This caused the Lucario to dash backstage holding back his tears. His heart was broken once more. The trainer and the Lopunny followed him backstage and attacked the Lucario. He wouldn't dare hit the Lopunny he once loved. Many in the audience were surprised and couldn't help but to leave their seats to see what would happen. Meanwhile, Professor Oak, Mr. Ortus, and others were inside a special room observing the situation. Mr. Ortus was behaving somewhat intrigued at what had happened. Almost as if he was enjoying the spectacle. Another Lucario and a young Vulpix stepped in a incapacitated the Lopunny attacking Ryuken the Lucario. In the all the commotion many trainers had summoned pokemon of their own. Just in case their services were needed. Sudden;y a trainer ordered his Garchomp and his Aerodactyl to use Earthquake. His intention was to try and stop the fight but instead his rash decision caused the Contest Hall to crumble down on everyone. Many trainers had their Pokemon defend them with Protect or just having sturdier ones use brute strength to knock debris away. Sadly, the young Vulpix among others were trapped under debris. Many pokemon had to be rushed to the Pokemon center. Outside, many trainers watched in awe at the pokemon and workers Mr. Ortus already had on standby, repairing the Contest Hall. Other trainers had their own Pokemon help out with the project as well. That is until Mr. Ortus announced that the Contest would be delayed, but the Tournament was about to begin. This was the event everyone was waiting for. Hopefully nothing will get in the way of the Tournament about to go under way... Map Rules- Follow Gaia ToS - No Godmodding - Respect each other - Please have your Pokemon know moves they really can learn - Don't be afraid to get hit. Take some damage from your opponent once in a while - You can decorate your posts as you see fit. This is not rmandatory - Please be as literate as possible. I don't mind the occasional spelling errors, but I don't want to see: *Typhlosion doged the hydro pump* Tentae: "OMG u suck lol"
Use "..." for speech. For actions, write it out. Write thoughts in italics- I understand writer's block happens. But please try and get at least one paragraph out. - When speaking out of character, please put it at the top of your post in parenthesis, Ex sad (OOC: Sorry guys, I forgot about that. )) - I hate when people post just Out Of Character posts with nothing to add on to the story. Please, if you have something to say to someone, a question, suggestion or something else, please post in the OOC of this Rp. Or send the recipient of your message a PM.- When you post, please post your character's name and location somewhere on it - Romance is encouraged. If you're going to do the no pants dance, please use a messenger, keep it in Pm's, or just time skip. Romantic moments should be kept PG-13 - You can be graphic about damage done to you or your pokemon. Blood, eye-gouging, whatever. Do not kill another person or pokemon unless you have the creator of the character or his pokemon's permission. - Mewexpletus will be killing NPC pokemon and trainers, unless someone requests their character killed off. - We are no longer accepting applications for this RP.- You can make as many characters as you wish, just please try to keep up with them. - Maximum, six pokemon shall be carried at a time. If you wish to exchange one for another, please make the pokemon's profile in the OOC and say which is going into the PC. Northern part of Ortus Island: This part of the island is covered with a thick forest. Many Pokemon nest here. It's very dark at night and difficult to navigate through. Many caves that lead to mount Ortus are scattered around here as well. Some say there may be ghost types here
Southern part of Ortus Island: This part of the Island is where the festival will take place. There's a Pokemon Center, a Pokemart, A Large dome shaped arena where a tournament is to be held. Adjacent from the battle dome is the Contest Hall, and surrounding those large buildings are many tents where there are games to play and food being sold. Father south is a nice beach with a very large building. This is the spa. You can go there to relax, get a massage Etc. Also, the docks where the boats arrive and depart are placed here as well. Most people shall enter Ortus Island from the South.
Central part of Ortus Island: In the center of Ortus Island is a large mountain. This Mountain is called Mount Ortus. Up here is where many powerful pokemon dwell. Also, Team Rocket's hideout is just below the summit and travels throughout the mountain. At the basemant of the base is where Mewexpletus is being tested and held. Until he wakes up and escapes. Many say dragon types like to dwell up here.
Eastern part of Ortus Island: This part of the island is quite relaxing. Plenty of grassland fields and many wild pokemon dwell here. There is a lake in located somewhere here as well.
Western part of Ortus Island: This part of the island is quite warm. There's lots of sand and rocks around this area. Caves that lead to Mount Ortus also are quite common here. Bet you won't guess what types hang around here.

Location: Ortus Isle, deep within Rocket baseLights flicker within a long corridor leading toward the examination room. The Rocket Base within Mt. Ortus is immense and difficult to navigate unless you have a map handy. It's maze-like structure confuses even the oldest grunts working within. Footsteps echo throughout the corridor as a scientist accompanied by two grunts make their way for the examination room. The scientist observes the reports in his hands, not even worried about falling. It's apparent they've been in this place for so long. "Hmm.. interesting.." The Scientist mumbles to himself. One of the Rocket Grunts look over his shoulder. Curious about this project the Rockets have been working on for all these years. Once the Grunt sees the charts and graphs he avers his gaze. Things like that always confuse him. He wouldn't be able to understand if he tried. They arrived at a very large steel door. The other Grunt punched in a code. As soon as he finished a large sound could be heard. The door was unlocking the many locks it had. Eventually, it opened and the three of them entered. The two Grunts stopped at the door and stood by it. One on each side. The Scientist kept moving forward. The room was immense and circular in shape. Hundreds of scientists working tirelessly, round the clock on "Project X." In the middle of the room was their creation. Floating in what appeared to be water, inside a giant tank. It's powerful arms and legs bound by chains. It's eyes were shut and it was heavily sedated. Hooked up to many cords and complicated machines. "He's almost ready." The scientist nervously informs a man sitting in the shadows. The man just smiles and begins to laugh to himself. KasumiLocation: S.S. Ortus, Out at sea A large ship slices it's way through the ocean waves. Thousands of trainers, breeders, and coordinators on the ship enjoying many of the luxuries on board. Buffets, rock climbing, mini golf, spas, swimming pools, you name it. These were all people who were invited to Ortus Island. But a few particular trainers were taking advantage of the situation. They were having battles. "Nidoking! Use Megahorn!!" a young trainer calls out! The Nidoking immediately charges the opponent's Hypno. "Hypno! Dodge it!" the other trainer calls out! The Hypno attempts to side-step out of the way but Nidoking changes diection as well and hits the Hypno dead on! "Noo!" The Hypno's trainer exclaims. The Nidoking flips Hypno over with it's powerful horn then jabs it. It's super effective! "Hypno is unable to battle! The winner is Nidoking and his trainer, Ralph!" Some guy acting as referee announces. The crowd disperses as they go on to find more exciting battles. Within that crowd a young brunette stood with her Weavile. "Interesting battle, eh Lillith?" she asks the Weavile. Lillith smiles and agrees. "Weavile!"The brunette laughs and walks over to the railing of the ship. She rests against it and closes her eyes as the wonderful breeze flows through her hair. Lillith darts over and hops onto the railing beside her, kicking it's legs. Robyn Location: S.S. Ortus You think you have the answer...The boat was overly crowded with trainers, coordinators and breeders alike, but that didn't bother Robyn. In fact, she was thrilled. Each person here was bound to have at least one Pokemon, that meant she'd have more friends to make. She plopped down in the middle of the deck-not caring if she got in someone's way-and fished out her invitation. She giggled as she read it for what had to be the hundredth time. "A Pokemon festival, sounds like fun," Robyn giggled to herself, tucking her red bangs behind her ear. A slight pressure on her head made Robyn shift her attention there. Upon it sat her first Pokemon and best friend, Stardust the Vulpix. "Is there a problem," she inquired. The fox Pokemon sighed and nipped her trainer in the ear. "Ow." The trainer's hand immediately went up to nurture the hurt ear. "What'd you do that for?" Stardust pointedly looked around. Several trainers had gathered around and were staring at the two. They obviously wanted the space Robyn was occupying to be apart of a battle field. With a sigh, Robyn got up and said, "I see a girl can't rest in peace without her spot being taken." Robyn stalked off, out of the crowd of gathered trainers. She did not want to get caught in that mess. ...I laugh and watch you fall. ((OCC: I'm assuming they're all on the same ship. Correct me if I'm wrong. ))

((OOC: Some people might be on the ship, but others could be getting to the island by plane, riding a pokemon, whatever means..)) Professor Samuel Oak Location: On route to Ortus Island, inside helicopter Hovering several miles above sea level, Professor Oak is practicing his speech for the festival at Ortus Island. The loud whirring of the helicopter's blades is making it difficult for him to hear himself.
"Can this thing be any quieter? I don't have my speech ready yet." Oak shouts to the pilot. The pilot looks at him and smiles. "Sorry, it can't be helped. I'm sure you won't have any problems. You're Professor Oak after all." The pilot replies. Oak nods. "Thank you, but this event is pretty big. I hope I can really inspire these trainers. I wonder if any of my colleagues will be attending." Oak continues. The pilot shrugs and resumes flying the ship.
Oak looks out the window and sees many trainers riding on their pokemon, surfing, flying, using any means necessary to get to the big event. Oak grins. He pulls out the invitation sent to him and reads it over once more. "Mr. Ortus." Oak is bewildered as to who this mysterious man is. Oak had been to every region and has never once heard of this Ortus fellow. He hoped this wasn't a mistake.

Hybri sat loosely upon the back of a well trained Flygon as the they flew languidly above the vast ocean. They spotted a helicoptor a few miles ahead of them and A large ship further east of their position. He assumed the two transports were headed to the same Island he was. "Well Dust looks like we'll at least have company, ne?" He said and the flygon nodded with a smirk.

A young trainer awoke to a constant tapping on his window. "What the hell? Sharptooth, is that you?" The trainer arose from his bed, and opened the window. As soon as the window opened, a Delibird rushed into his room. "DELI!" It pulled out a latter, with the trainer's name on it 'Arcanas'
"For me? Using an arcane method of delivery, they are..." He opens up the letter, and quickly scans it over Hmm...a festival, huh? Sounds like fun. He looks over at the pokemon, finally realizing that it was awaiting payment. He reaches into his pocket, and tosses a coin to the pokemon. "Thanks"
Arcanas got dressed, packing a travel backpack as well. As soon as he was set, he closed his window, and headed out of the house. Raising a hand to his brow, he scanned the skies and let out a sharp whistle. He waited a bit, and smiled as his shadow grew. A massive Aerodactyl landed next to him, folding his wings and nudging his trainer's hand with his snout. "Hey old friend. Have you seen Zelgius around? We've got an invitation for an adventure." The Aerodactyl turned his head, and pointed towards the Dragon's Den. "In there again, huh? Let's go get him" He climbed on the Aerodactyl's back, and the pokemon guided them towards the Dragon's Den

 .:Thomas ClamingtonThomas was grasping his pokemon for dear life as they hovered over the water, muttering over and over again, "Fear, if you phase me through you, I will kill you!" He had missed the boat and none of his pokemon could fly nor swim. The best he had was Gengar and his ability to levitate. He was afraid that Gengar or Fear as he calls him will phase Thomas through his body and into the water miles below. Finally he spotted the ship, "YAY! We are almost there!" Just as he said that, he felt himself falling through Gengar and before he can scream, Fear grabbed him. While Thomas was scared to death, Fear was laughing, "Gengar, Gengar!"

Chris & Ryuken
Location:Aboard the S. S. Ortus Chris leaned silently against the railing of the ship, relishing in the feeling of the cool ocean breeze. He looked over at Ryuken, the Lucario's back was leaned up against the rail. Finally Ryuken spoke up, utilizing his aura speak ability. Chris, may I ask you a question? Chris looks over at his old friend. Sure, why would I mind?
Because...It's kind of a disrespectful question.
Chris stares at Ryuken, not sure what to expect. Why did we go to this thing? Don't misunderstand me, I'm always excited to battle other Pokemon. But something about this isn't right, not that I sense it. It's just a feeling...I'm actually very surprised you were so willing to leave.
Well, why is that?
You seemed so contented there, not to mention you obviously wanted to mate with Cynthia. Ryuken looks up at Chris, a smirk crosses his face. Chris laughs for a moment before responding. Sometimes, I hate your aura reading ability. Ryuken jumps up to balance on the rail, he reaches over and grabs the shoulder of Chris's jacket. Well what about that time we were almost ambushed by Team Snag'm Peons? Or the time Team Galactic blew up that lake while we were nearby? Wouldn't have gotten out of either if not for me. Then there was the time that we...
Shut up! I get it! I don't ever want to deal with another group like those again.Ryuken laughs a moment in his deep, aura projected voice. Placing a fore paw against the rail, he springs into the air, turns several flips, and lands gracefully on his feet. He begins to walk off as he speaks. I'm getting hungry, lets find some food.Chris turns from the rail and walks along beside him as the two head for the dinning area.

Arcanas Location: Dragon's Den, Blackthorn City"I hate this place...Sharptooth, wait here." Arcanas gingerly wandered inside the expansive cave, watching his footing carefully. The cave and he didn't have an agreeable meeting a few years ago. He clicked on his flashlight, and called out "Zelgius! Where are you?" He inched forward a bit more, peering down the staircase leading to the depths where Dratini dwelled. "Zelgius, you know I hate this place!" There was a deep growl, as the towering Garchomp climbed up the stairs, meeting his master with a nudge to the shoulder. "Geezus! Don't sneak up on me!" Arcanas turned to face his pokemon and patted him on the head. "Come on, or we're gonna miss an adventure." He held out a pokeball, and the Garchomp disappeared in a flash of light, locked up tight inside the Luxuray Ball. Arcanas walked back outside and patted his Aerodactyl on the head. "Ready for a long flight?" The Aerodactyl nodded and voiced a reply "Aeeero" The pokemon spread his wings, and lowered itself to the ground, allowing his trainer to climb on his back. "Alright Sharptooth, gotta head in that direction, I guess there's a ship or something we can land on." He pointed in the direction towards Cianwood City. The massive flyer flapped his wings, and in a blink of an eye, they were off, flying towards the island.

Robyn Location: S.S. Ortus You think you have the answer..."Ah," Robyn exclaimed as she bumped into a man. She stumbled back several steps before reclaimed her balance. Her Vulpix wasn't so lucky. The fox Pokemon was use to her trainers antics and occasional clumsiness but sadly, being on a boat made it an entirely new situation. She fell off her trainer's head. The Vulpix managed to land on all fours and glared back up at her trainer. "Stardust, are you okay," her trainer asked. Robyn bent down and picked up her glaring Pokemon-checking her to make sure there was no injuries. When it was apparent that Stardust was fine, Robyn turned her attention to the man she ran into. "My name is Robyn," the teen introduced herself. "Vul." "Of course I haven't forgotten you. This Vulpix is Stardust. And you are? Are you okay?" At the last part, Robyn looked him up and down to try and asset if he had come into any harm by their encounter. ...I laugh and watch you fall.
