The sparkles are to help prevent scamming. All the premium items (CIs/RIGS, MCs, EIs, and aquarium items) glow to help for that reason. In roughly a week we should have the ability to turn it off as what Lanzer said in the AtA Monday.

And depending on where you get the premium item it sparkles differently. As I am, you will be
