Basic Information
The M29 is essentially a combined weapons system of the M8 and M25 weapons platform. Combing both a 25mm x 40mm grenade launcher and a 6.8mm x 43mm standard assault rifle, the weapon aims to increase the capability of the average soldier by providing both an explosive and kinetic energy based weapon. The weapon of course, exploits both the individual assets of the combined weapons module, although it usually uses the carbine version of the M8 weapons module series. If the individual module pieces are brought along with the user, then the stand alone variants can be figured as separate weapons in their own right.
