Happy Beltane!!! biggrin
here is a recipe for Beltane Bannocks - Scottish Oatcakes, it looks really yummy so I am thinking about trying it, you should too.
Prep Time: 20 minutes Cook Time: 15 minutes Total Time: 35 minutes
Ingredients: •1 1/2 Cups oatmeal •1/8 tsp. salt •1/4 tsp. baking soda •1 Tbs. butter •1/2 cup hot water
Preparation: Combine oatmeal, salt and baking soda in a bowl. Melt the butter, and drizzle it over the oats. Add the water, and stir the mix until it forms a stiff dough. Turn the dough out on a sheet of wax paper and knead thoroughly.
Separate the dough into two equal portions, and roll each one into a ball. Use a rolling pin to make a flat pancake that is about ¼" thick. Cook your oatcakes on a griddle over medium heat until they are golden brown. Cut each round into quarters to serve.

I hope everyone has a wonderful Beltane/Samhain.
Here's two ways to make mini-maypoles. I couldn't find the video I wanted but these aren't bad either. =)

 Blessed Beltane/Samhain to all.
I still don't know what I'm going to do... I shall have to leaf through my books and bookmarked pages and find a simple, inexpensive thing to do...
I found a picture of a festival they still hold in Edinburgh, in Scotland. Be warned, there is nudity of the breast variety, so I am providing a link rather than posting the picture, in the hopes that I do not cause offence.

I hope that everyone had a blessed Beltane/Samhain.
Mine was quiet, but amazing. I woke my mate up early and we caught the sunrise together. A good chunk of the morning was spent in bed, snuggling and what-not before going out with friends. My coven held it's first co-ed Sabbat and it was great having our men around.
On a slightly different note: This Beltane marks my year and a day and I will now start making preparations for a dedication!

I missed Beltane this year. I completely forgot about it during these last weeks of school. But, I plan on spending some time outside in the local park and doing some candle work as celebration once I get through graduation this weekend smile
And congratulations Aiedaile; that's wonderful news!

I totally missed out on Beltane this year. >.< We were stuck at my mother's house so we couldn't do anything even if we wanted to. Xb
I did find a good recipe in one of my books for the celebration though. It was call Almond Bread. Later I'll put in the recipe since I don't have it with me right now. In any case, it sounded really good. =D
