Name: Joseph Brown

awards
BC Level: 20

Description: Joseph is your average 5'7" white-bread suburban variety male. Not a buff fellow, but at a reasonable weight. That doesn't mean he's in shape though, he eats far too little and when he does it's rarely good for him. The chaser of booze and cigarettes doesn't help either. Gray-green eyes, hair that is a tangle of curls, waves and poofs, rarely shaven, and the least serious look you'd ever see. He has soft facial features, an advantage that make him look more trustworthy than he is.

Currently he has a scar line going up his left side from n****e to belly button and arm, shoulder to elbow. This was a recent procedure to remove remnants of the Variant Thirteen virus. Both closed wounds were healed magically, but hastily, by Seyumi Kaikou

Being the CEO of Alpha through Epsilon he has an overabundance of business type clothing. At this point he has just taken to wearing his business clothes casually. He has a closet full of solid-colour collar shirts, which he wears with two buttons undone and the sleeves rolled up. Pants have always been whatever he could grab, usually black or shades of brown. He has a collection of blazers and coats he has nearly destroyed from going out and doing field work. He makes a constant effort to wear them to meetings rather than the neglected business suits. He does occasionally wear a tie, but since he never does up the top button they're never pulled up enough to make him look professional.

Equipment: Joseph is a generally light traveller.
He of course carries both the guns Runespitter Positive and Runespitter Negative holstered under his blazer. They look like revolvers with intricate runic patterns embedded in them. The Negative runes are a slightly darker shade than the ones on the positive, the only difference. Joseph guesses that this is because the magically sensitive mythril reacts differently to the runes. Other than that he admits he knows jack s**t about magic. than the Except for the "they focus magic" bit, they function like regular revolvers, and have an easy access barrel for fast reload times.
He carries 8 rounds, six shots each, of mythril bullets. Two rounds are always loaded, two of them are in revolver speed loaders. On top of this he has one bullet of "Warp", "Seal" and "Disrupt" as well as three bullets of "barrier" hidden in a secret pocket.
He has a multipurpose A~E cell phone/PDA. It allows him to make calls, check his mail and connect to the A~E satellite network.
There is also his wallet. 20 dollars cash, ID, business cards, a company expense account card.
He's never without a cheap plastic lighter or a pack of smokes.
Finally, he as a keycard that works for most doors and elevators in A~E. High security ones require a code as well.

Abilities:
School: Rune Gunning: Joseph, thanks to his fathers side of the family disowning him, is totally unaware of his magical heritage. While if he was trained carefully and consistently from youth he would have been casting spells with the best of them. Well probably not, considering he has the patience and memory of a six year old retarded goldfish. Like so many things in his life casting can be described by "wasted talent" and "squandered potential".
Luckily when A~E acquired the company owned by Salvador Julian, famous magic researcher, he acquired Runespitters. These were guns made of the magically receptive metal mythril and carefully inscribed with runes. Joseph of course thought they were very nice looking firearms and claimed them as his own.

The guns channel magic through power words, Joseph discovered this after shooting at someone and saying "boom". The impact point of the bullet was suddenly outlined by runes and quickly exploded. When he went to do this again, with the other Runespitter, the effect was different. This time a shield of flame came up between him and his enemy. Effectively allowing his enemy to get away.
From this he named one "RS Positive" and the other "RS Negative"

Basic words, can be activated through mythril bullets.
"Boom" is a bastardisation of "flame'. The RS Negative effect is a small explosion around where the bullet will hit. The RS Positive effect a ring of fire to burst upwards in a six foot radius around the bullet. Alternatively too bullets can be fired up to twelve feet apart and the wall will form between them.

"Stun" is a less focused version of "Bolt". The Negative effect effectively turns the gun into an extra long range tazer, this word must be spoken before firing. The Positive version creates a rune circle around the impact point and sends small shocks to paralyse whatever steps in in.

"Chill" was discovered after watching the resident ice mage do her thing. The negative effect is one of the few words he has to say while the bullet is flying. It causes the bullet to slowly turn into an icicle, getting larger and larger as the bullet speeds through the air. The positive version causes an small eruption of ice to shoot out from the impact point. Normally this is just a hunk of concentrated pointy ice, quite dangerous especialy since the colder the conditions the more ice that gets formed.

"Form" is actually fairly accurate. The Negative version causes a mesh of runes to zoom forward pushing whatever is in it's way. This dissipates when it stops moving (Ie pins someone to a wall) or after a minute. The Positive effect creates a stationary rune mesh that can be used as a platform. This lasts five minutes or until a new platform is created.

There are some bullets that are themselves inscribed with runes. Joseph saves these special spells since he cannot reproduce them. They do not require power words nor do they have different effects in the positive and negative RSes.

The "warp" bullet allows Joseph to return to a location he knows very well. This pretty much limits him to the A~E building and the Temple of Falis.

The "seal" bullet creates a runic circle with a 7 foot radius that no organic object can enter or exit. This dissipates after one minute. If Joseph "casts" another spell while "seal" is active the seal dissipates. It can also be dispelled magically.

The "disruption" bullet taxes any magic or metamagic that passes through the 15 foot radius field it creates. Barriers will be taxed, spells will be hard to cast and any telepathy will be distorted with a "snow" type sound.

"Barrier" bullets have to be used in tandem with "seal". Essentially Joseph would fire two or three barriers and then a seal between them. Once the seal hits a 8 foot wall of magical energy forms between the points. The barrier fades after a minute, or after it takes heavy magical damage.

As a note, Joseph is not yet badass enough to use both guns at the same time.

History: "The Alpha through Epsilon corporation has been a staple in life in Barton for a good few years now. They act as a holding company, aggressively purchasing company after company. Some argue that A~E has strayed so far from the robotics firm that nobody really knows what they produce. A robotics firm, contracting agency, weapons division, and a medicinal branch all have their headquarters inside the 85 story Alpha through Epsilon building. What do they have to do with each other? Why do unrelated divisions sometimes work together? Why is the board of directors made up of a select few individuals? I believe that all these questions can be answered by investigating the life of the shadowy head of the corporation, Joseph Brown."

"My name is Jack Gaull, and this is GAIA 9 Action news, Investigative Report Show."

The screen shows stock footage of the town of Oceanside, a suburban nightmare. There's an ariel long shot of the basin the town is situated around and the rows of cookie cutter homes. "Joseph Brown is one of the many successful people that forced themselves to the top from humble origins. He grew up in a small family in an Oceanside city far away from the bustle of Barton. In truth it really wasn't a city by today's standards, but most who lived there called it one. He lived a content life with his mother, sister and a man who was more of a father figure than his father. He was instilled with two quite opposite sets of values from his parents, one is the classic set of 'do good and be good' type parental lessons, but the other was quite Machiavellian."

"I always told him "Do what ever it takes to get ahead."" The screen had cut to an older lady speaking. The bottom of the screen displayed 'Leanne Brown, Subject's Mother'."We had the view that we could only trust the family, and relay only the immediate family. You have to realise that it's a cruel world, and friends will stab you in the back if you get in their way. We just wanted to teach him to look out for himself and not make our mistakes."

"The 'Our' referred to Joseph's stepfather Leroy Jaymes. His father had died in a tragic accident when he was young and Joseph treated this man like a father. From interviews with Joseph it seems the CEO has mixed feelings about his biological parent and prefers not to talk about it. In one interview he went as far to say 'Leroy is my father blood or not'."

Cut to a gentleman with a close cropped military haircut and a warm smile. The footer reads "Leroy Jaymes, Subject's Stepfather". "The kid had a lot of talent, and a natural way with people. I always told him he'd make a million gold one day, how else would he pay for his family's retirement."

"Joseph took this advice more seriously than his parents thought; he played the nice guy so people would trust him. He respected his friends though, he had a policy of know everything but tell nothing. It got him quite far with the select group of friends he had. But he could only get so far in the two-bit ocean town he was in. Too many people had fallen into the trap of becoming stagnant and settling for less. He decided, much to his parents' dismay, to move to the big city of Barton." The scene began with a shot of Chaufer Padwik High, the school Joseph went to, and ends with a long shot of the Barton skyline.

"The enterprising young Joseph had to pay most of his own way through university." The shot cuts from footage of Barton Prince University, to archive footage of the Salvador Julian Building before A~E bought it. "He worked as a low-level clerk at Salvador Technologies, at the time a leader in magical device research. He was recorded to be a hard worker, hilarious to have around the office and flagged as having "management potential". Needless to say the young Joseph Brown impressed Salvador Julian."

"He learned business working for us and look where it got him. Maybe it was because of all the chastising we did about the useless Philosophy degree he was taking." The man marked "Salvador Julian, Retired Businessman" deadpanned the last line despite its humour value. "When he said he was looking for investors so he could start his own business, it made an old man proud. I provided the money, he provided the ideas."

"Alpha through Epsilon burst onto the scene as a small robotics research firm." Footage of a factory assembling Alpha droids, essentially floating disks with one camera eye and a arm attached to the underside. "The design for the multipurpose Alpha droid was incredibly popular amongst offices and work sites looking for a cheap hand. When the company opened their weapons division the droid was modified to have a gun instead of an arm. Inexpensive and easy to produce guards were even more popular amongst the clientele."

"The company really took off then," An east asian looking man tagged "Lester Po, Nyman Gun Co. Heir" explained, "I had known Joseph for about two years at that point, we met at a conference for weaponry systems. Nothing but a friend since then, and a blast to drink with on weekends. My company was his first acquisition, saved our a**. Despite years of producing quality firearms, nobody at the Nyman Gun Co. was willing to produce crap. Joseph on the other hand knew how to market an expensive product in a sea of mass produced garbage."

"I think at that point," Lester continues speaking as footage of the first A~E building is shown, "It was just Joey, Claire and myself at the top. We didn't make another acquisition until Salvador Julian retired and discreetly gave us a price for Salvador Electronics. Joey of course accepted, throwing in some share of A~E into the mix. Rare move for Joey, he had always kept the shares of the corporation within a close nit group. Says that's the way his family did business and anyone he gave shares he considered family. Made for a small board since Salvador only sat occasionally as an honorary member."

The screen shows an montage of different companies, "After that acquisition A~E went on a buying spree. Denver Pharmaceuticals, Guy and Guy Construction, LeRoy auto parts, Hexus Research and many more. Why the interest in so many different groups. The answer digs into A~E's seedy side, and arguably the true face of A~E. These companies make an impenetrable mesh of deceit blinding the public to what A~E really researched."

"Joseph Brown's company researches failed, abandoned, or otherwise "acquired" experiments." The screen displays old news clips of gang killings, bombings and break ins, "A~E has been involved in many of these incidents of industrial espionage. The company is willing to go to any length to succeed. Even worse these experiments are some off the most dangerous projects ever attempted, classified as ideas that only madmen would follow through on."

"I first became suspicious of A~E's dealings after Joseph Brown was presumed missing or dead." The show uses news footage of a pressconfrence. Lester Po is delivering the bad news. In the background you can see Claire Fontaine, Joseph Brown's personal assistant. "The random attack on A~E seemed improbable. With the public in mind GAIA 9 IRS did some research.

(Roleplayed from here on in) The film uses a security camera tape of Angelo, Aaron, Stryphe and the Variant 13 virus in an elevator. "The so called attack was actually led by an escaped experiment of A~E's. The Omnipraga virus variant 13 is a dangerously intelligent viral weapon that uses a "host" body to pose as a human being. The battle escalated when Variant 12 of the virus also entered the fray heading towards one of the building's subbasements." The footage switches to black and white security roll of the fight between Stryphe and Variant 12, a wounded Joseph off to the side. "The V12 is more aggressive, less empathetic and extremely violent compared to the V13. In the ultimate monster movie moment Joseph attempted to subdue the virus only to become severely wounded. If it wasn't for the "hero" Stryphe destroying the virus and bringing Joseph Brown to the Temple of Falis, the CEO would have been dead"

"During the Grand Battle A~E is rumoured to have been even more despicable." Cuts to amateur footage of an man with a scythe fighting an industrial looking robot. Eventually the man comes down hard on the robot shattering most of it's armour. "Insider reports say that A~E sold the "Heavy Lifter" unit to the attacking forces as a field test." A quick cut to a panning view of the wreckage of the Temple of Falis. "Joseph on the other hand would never see if the field test did well. While he was recovering in the Temple, the attackers had strategically bombed it. Barely surviving the explosion Joseph discovered the dying host of the V13 virus. Proving himself an obsessed madman, Joseph took the infection on so his research would not be lost."

"Joseph then went into hiding, communicating with his company through a secret outpost. After GAIA 9 investigated the gang shooting in a downtown fish and chips shop, we discovered startling information. The shop was owned buy A~E and the man running it, Lester Special, was actually Lester Po with a ridiculous accent. We believe this was Joseph's rendevouz point so he could run the company from hiding." Cut from the shot up shop to a press conference, "When Joseph returned to the spotlight, he revealed that the mysterious building being constructed at the edge of town would be the new home of A~E. What he didn't reveal was his plan to round up ex-gangsters to do his bidding. As revealed in his personal journal, the sentient V13 virus had written a list of people to hire. These were all ex-members of the Black Dragon Syndicate, and therefore trained to do the underhanded dealings A~E required.

The next shot displays crappy amature footage of a robot climbing into the back of an A~E armoured car. It was short, looked angry and had a equally angry looking congregation of Falis behind it. "Not only did A~E aid Gaia organised crime, but also the agents of random havoc. This robot has been identified as, not only an attacker of the DeSaul foundry, but also one of the renegade robots from Carter City." Archive footage of the ruins of the city is shown, and then the clip of the military using a tactical bomb on the place. "In another disgusting show of the battle for profit, Brown and his lackeys battled with Matthias Weinburg over control of the robot. Not caring about the collateral damage, the 27th floor of the building was destroyed."

"While Alpha through Epsilon is a tough company to expose, the truth has to get out there! GAIA 9 IRS is proud to bring you the voice of..."

BBBZZZZTTTTT... The screen goes blank.

RP Sample: "So that's the only tape?" Joseph said to the man handing him a now ejected VHS, "and that file contains all the stolen documents."

"Yes Mr. Brown." An entirely too flustered station manager commented back. This report could have been disastrous to all the parties involved. Thank God someone had showed it to him before it aired, otherwise Joseph would have never got a call.

"And the dude that made it?" Joseph put the tape in his pocket so he could carry the folder easier.

"Fired." The balding man wiped the sweat from his forehead, "He stole documents, used station money to make bribes and made dozens of wild statements. He's as bad as he wanted you to seem."

"Seems you have everything in order," Joseph nodded and turned to leave, "Was a pleasure."

"Mr. Brown?"

"Yeah?"

"Thank you for your generous donation." The manager said with a false bravado, he had to live up to Joseph's compliment. Be a hardass leader.

"Hey," Joseph gave a mocking salute as he left, "Public television is supported by viewers like me."

--- --- --- --- ---

As Joseph left the GAIA 9 building he lit up a cigarette, stretched, thought how beautiful a day was and got punched square in the jaw. Stumbiling backwards from the supprise attack he dropped the file he was carrying. Not paying any attention to the scattering papers he turned to face his attacker.

Surprise, surprise. Jack Gaull.

"You b*****d! You paid them off didn't you." The budding investigative reporter spat at Joseph, "You're afraid of the truth."

Realising his career was over Jack reached for the small pistol he had bought earlier that day. Ironically a Nyman brand gun. Joseph was quicker on the draw though. He reached under his coat drawing the lighter of his two guns. He fired a warning shot in between the reporters legs. For someone who was on the "hard edge of news" Jack jumped pretty high.

"Any last w-words." The shaken reported tried to keep his cool after the shot.

"Yeah," Joseph smirked, "Stun."

On cue the bullet imbedded in asphalt turned to a spot of light and burst outwards into a runic pattern. Before jack could figure out what the hell had happened the circle sent light electrical shocks through his body. Unable to move the reporter fell to the ground, hand still in his pants trying to find the gun. The circle dissipated into nothing in time with the thump of his body.

"Yeah police," Joseph was already on his cellphone, "Attempted aggravated assault behind the GAIA 9 news building. Yep, it's Joseph. Yeah Sara, I got him with my tazer."

Notes: Joseph's biggest weakness is in his weapon. Unlike most mages his limited by ammo rather than exhaustion. This wouldn't be so bad if his magical bullets didn't have to double as his normal bullets. For every non-magical attack he does he wastes one "casting" of a general power word. It also means he can miss with a spell easier. If the gun misfires, or somebody pushes him the bullet may land in a useless place. Nor is Joseph a military sharpshooter, so he can't magically make difficult shots without a lot of luck. Generally he's best at medium range.

Joseph has no idea how his guns work. He assumes the power comes from his guns, not from his ignored magical heritage. So if he gets silenced/magically incapacitated he won't think anything of it. When he does try to "cast" a spell, he will be unable, and probably swear a lot.

Joseph is recovering from recent surgery to remove the V13 virus. While magical healed, he's still adjusting to not having it in him.

To finish it off he's a chronic smoker, and has all the breathing problems of one. Still, he's more likely to get shot before cancer sets in.

Username: Degobah46

Name: Charles White, also goes by Degobah, Degs, or The Chauffeur

A~E Position: Head of Assets Protection and Escort Services

Description:

Clothing: Black full-length coat, untucked white dress shirt (no undershirt, top two buttons undone, unbuttoned cuffs; shirt is longer than the coat, so the cuffs stick out), black leather fingerless gloves (only worn occasionally), black silk boxers, black dress pants (pants flare out a little at the ankles), black socks, and two-toned shoes (black and white).

Charles is a tall, slender man, but he is far from weak looking. Intimidating may be a better word to use.
He has long brown hair (when let down, the hair falls near the small of his back), which he keeps tied back with what appears to be a thick ornamented hair-tie that wraps around the hair four times, but it is actually a special clasp with the Ponpiki Gosho symbol upon it. His hair has been cut so that there are some smaller strands near the front, which act as side bangs.

His eyes are a rich brown and hidden behind a pair of black rectangular glasses (retro style). His eyes: warm when they want to be, and somewhat frightening the rest of the time. Its as if you could learn his life's story if you were brave enough to look him in the eye long enough. They never seem to rest, his eyes, always studying the surroundings, grasping the situation wherever he goes. Charles's eyes are two of the few who fall into the category of "trustworthy".

Charles has an attitude that closely resembles "cool". However, he is known for having instances of goofing off, blowing up, and showing off. But the majority of the time he is laid back. He can control his emotions quite well, until it comes to people jeopardizing his friends and loved ones. When that happens, no enemy is safe from this guy.
On the other hand, the Chauffeur can easily be talked to because of his personality. He can have a warm smile that will make any unsuspecting person spill all the information they know.

Besides, if his smile can't do it, his weapons surely will.

Equipment: Six Handguns on him at all times: One Firestar in a leg holster, two Berettas at his sides, one more Firestar near the small of his back, and two Glocks in holsters on his backside. Two ZMGs in special holsters lining his coat pockets. A scythe (32 in. blade, 65 in. black handle 3 in. thick) strapped to his back. Four throwing knives in arm sheaths (4 in. blades, two knives strapped to each arm).

Abilities: School razz onpiki Gosho (see history)
Skills (Abilities which he doesn't have to cast)
100% Tolerance: As a perk to his membership in the Ponpiki Gosho, Charles was embedded with this unique and special trait. Charles is tolerant to everything, other than getting tired, the body's natural instincts at work. He cannot be poisoned, stoned, drugged, sloshed (drunk), or any other type of status effecter. Simply put, he has the best immune system known.

Chaffeuring Skills: Charles has long since earned this title for his ability to get behind the wheel of any vehicle and maneuver it like an expert. On top of that, he can easily hotwire any vehicle when he lacks their keys.

Additional skills include mechanical knowledge and expert hand to hand, melee, and firearm combat.

Scythe Techniques
Wrap Around: Scythe is spun just so, causing the weapon to return to the owner like a boomerang.
Around the World: Scythe-wielder spins, making a circle up to as long as his scythe's handle around him/her for up to fifteen seconds. Does not inflict dizziness or confusion on the scythe-wielder.
Wheel in Motion: Scythe is thrown to the ground, spinning like a wheel, and travels for distances up to fifty feet before returning to owner.
Hot Knife and Butter: Wielder is able to easily cut through any object as deep as the blade's length.
Resonance: The ultimate scythe technique. Wielder thrusts scythe blade into ground, wall, etc. Wielder uses their spirit energy to cause disruptions into the object, completely destroying the object (if in ground, area up to 100 yards). The wielder does not have to be holding his scythe to have to use this move, but is really only effective when he does.

History: But first...
What is a telomere?
Telomeres are a region of DNA at the end of a chromosome that protects the start of the genetic coding sequence against shortening during successive replications. In short, these are the things that are quite responsible for the aging process

Rules of the Immortality (by Gosho standards)
Sure, you can't die, but that's about it. Pain is pain, a cut is a cut, and a bullet wound is a bullet wound. If the immortal gets deformed or loses a limb, he/she stays deformed or limbless. The immortal can still pass out from blood loss, and there isn't any of this "super-fast healing" bullroar. The only way an immortal could receive the super-fast healing would be at the hands of the Goddess of Death and Disease.

And now...

A Brief History of the Ponpiki Gosho

The universe was created by three Goddesses...

The Sex Goddess (Michelle): The head of the three. She cultivated life and is caretaker of humanity. She created sex as a way to pass time, rid of boredom, etc. Michelle is the typical person in charge, and doesn't care that she's that way. She makes sure the Gosho runs smoothly under her control. Her power is telekinesis and telepathy.

The Goddess of Aestheticism (Christine): The one in charge of all that is beautiful, artistic, etc. in the world. Very beautiful and graceful, she spends most of her days redecorating the palace and listening to classical music. She also can control the weather.

The Goddess of Death and Disease (Eleanor): She is responsible for creating death, obviously, and regulating the rate at which life grows. Probably the most anti-social of the three Goddesses, Ellie spends the majority of her days in her basement laboratory, testing out new diseases on helpless little pikas, a creature she created to be the most similar to humans. She can manipulate the darkness, making an entire area pitch black in a matter of moments.

From here they began to create life, and set up base on Earth on a secluded island in the Pacific Ocean, which they named Kami Kojima. The island was special, for time flowed much slower there than any other place on Earth. The Goddesses first constructed a massive palace on the island, from which they would monitor their creations. They called this palace the Ponpiki Gosho. It would later become the name of their organization. From this palace, the Goddesses created Angels...

The Dove of Love (JJ): The messenger. He spreads the joys of love, even if he is an annoying little flying bugger. He also tends to the massive greenhouse located within the palace. His power is flight.

The Angel of Death (Brenna): Was originally named "The Dark Angel" but hated the title after Jessica Alba made her Fox series. Brenna is a party animal, enjoying the techno and factory music over anything else. The Angel of Death has the power to communicate with animals, enjoying their company over most people. She embodies the cute dark chick look. Christine loathes her.

The Angel of Eroticism (Damien): Is exactly what he is called. He studies sex and creates ways to improve the sexual experience. He spends most of his days wrapped in a towel, bed sheet, bathrobe, or nothing at all, and having sex with women he brings to the island (This is via a steamboat that shuttles regularly from Kami Kojima to the Americas). Damien has the special ability to instantly activate the sex drive of a woman (except for the Goddesses).

One day, very bored, Damien created his own Angels, who, of course, would never obey him...

The Black E-Mailer (Lizzy): Genius hacker and creator of the computer. She is one of most highly skilled soldiers ever created and is control of the Agents, a large number of well-trained men and women who do most of the Gosho's dirty work. The Agents live around the world, assigned a number for a title, but do not know where Kami Kojima is, nor do they know what the majority of the Ponpiki Gosho deities look like. Lizzy has the power to control electric currents.

The Great Destroyer (Megan, aka Duo): She is what her name says. She hardly thinks twice about the destruction of anything. She resides in a tall tower, which houses the largest collection of weapons ever and her private jet. She knows every weapon and how to use them at their full potential. Megan is responsible for dispersing weapons for Agents to use on missions, and is very good at making sure each weapon comes back to her. When the Black E-Mailer goes on a mission, the Great Destroyer is usually not too far behind. Duo has the power to start and manipulate fires, and is deathly scared of drowning.

The Heartbreaker (Kayla): Pink and bubbly is a good word to describe her (especially since her power is to produce pink bubbles). Everyday, nay, every hour, Kayla seems to find a new beau to seduce and ultimately crush his spirits. Needless to say, not many of the deities like the Heartbreaker.

Many, many years passed and nothing too exciting would happen. But one day, thanks to the Black E-Mailer, a nemesis appeared, immortal and ready to exact revenge on the Ponpiki Gosho. His name was Brent, also known as the Ethiopian Ambassador. Trained diligently under Lizzy, Brent soon became the first Head Agent, the right hand of the Black E-Mailer and her love interest, as well. But Brent's heart belonged to another Agent, Anne, who Lizzy set up to be executed, but not by her hands. Rather, by being captured in a failing mission. It was over a hundred years before Brent discovered what really happened and went mad with rage. He laid low for many more years before trying to get revenge, murdering every Agent and trying to rob Lizzy of her immortality. He failed, but managed to escape. Lizzy decided he was a broken man, and not a threat, but he would be more of a threat than any of the deities could ever imagine.

After several years of rebuilding, the Black E-Mailer appointed a new Head Agent, named Ryan.

Near the turn of the twentieth century, new members of the Ponpiki Gosho began to pop up. First came the Chauffeur (Charles), then others...

The Masticator (Chris): Cannibal, Forensics Genius, and Sword Master

The Godfather (Tony): Italian Badass, Master of the uber Potato Gun

The Dirty Sanchez (Louis): Spanish Assassin, Weapons Specialist

The Agent of Chaos (Ashley aka Zim): Deity from another dimension

The Renegade (Brian): Lover of the Destroyer, Super Strength

The Bouncer (Colin): Battle Technology Expert, Brother of the Chauffeur

Each new member (save for Ashley and Charles) was appointed to being assassins under the charge of the Black E-mailer and the Great Destroyer, and was given immortality.

And that is a brief history of the Ponpiki Gosho.

Charles White's history has a fuzzy beginning. His first memories were of being raised around thievery. He only knew his parents as international thieves who taught him what they knew. One day, they weren't around anymore, and Charles was all alone. This was when he was fifteen. So he did what any honest kid would do: work for organized crime.

He was vital to any crime boss, for he was a golden child. Not only did he learn quickly, but he was a natural when behind the wheel. People who worked with him said he was like a duck in water when it came to getaways and pursuits.

Charles first learned to kill at seventeen, taking out a competing crime boss to his current employer. As years passed, he was given the nickname of Muerte because he killed so well that he seemed like a natural cause of death. Killing and mafia were so much a part of Charles's life, he didn't notice that he had stopped aging when he reached his twenty-sixth birthday- he figured he was in great shape.

Charles's last employer was a man by the name of Marlebo Plantera, known as the Chain of Death. This was because everyone knew when Plantera was responsible for a murder, but could never be linked to it, leaving a chain of death behind him wherever he went. Under Plantera, Charles learned how the man kept from being accused of all these deaths, being set up as an accomplice to a mass murder. Charles was proven innocent, and Plantera suspected Muerte of rolling over on Plantera, which he didn't do. Charles fled, hiding from the powerful crime boss.

He soon settled down, where he met the love of his life completely by accident. Her name was Claire. They began a relationship, and Charles proposed to her. But not all could be happily ever after. Plantera discovered Charles's location, but he caught wind of the crime boss coming and fled once again.

It was here that Charles was allured by several beautiful women (the latest shipment to Damien) and boarded the steamboat to Kami Kojima. Intrigued by the island, Charles did not follow the women to a hut on the beach, but instead approached the large palace. He knocked on the palace doors to be greeted by an annoyed Black E-Mailer. One death-inducing electric shock later, Charles groaned in pain and swore loudly. Astonished, Lizzy ran down the Great Hall of the palace, calling to the Sex Goddess that she found an immortal at the door.

After the Goddess of Death and Disease treated him, Charles was sat down in a meeting room, facing the inquisitive eyes of the deities of the Ponpiki Gosho. After much dispute between the Gosho members, the three Goddesses, who had the final say, decided that Charles would be the newest addition to the Ponpiki Gosho. He was given the title of the Chauffeur and given the job of collecting and maintaining vehicles at the palace.

As the much longer island years passed, Charles learned all about Kami Kojima, Ponpiki Gosho, his immortality, and the Ethiopian Ambassador. The Black E-Mailer and the Great Destroyer also trained him rigorously with the standard Agent conditioning regime and then some. Under the two, he mastered firearms, melee, and hand-to-hand combat. The Great Destroyer's scythe training was where he excelled the most in melee combat, and it became his weapon of choice.

One day, during an excursion of all the deities, Charles was abducted by Plantera's men, thanks to a tip from the Ethiopian Ambassador. The Chain of Death demanded that Charles undertake a huge job for him. The price, Charles discovered, was Claire, who was not very happy to see her fiance, who had run away three years ago (real time). It was then that Charles said he would accept the job, a risky, possibly suicidal, transport mission.

Fortunately, the Gosho deities came to the rescue of their Chauffeur, but this would unfortunately seal Claire's fate. Plantera panicked and killed Claire as he ran away. When the deities found Charles, he was holding her in his arms, sobbing uncontrollably. Upon trying to console him, he sprang to his feet, taking a pistol from the Destroyer and chasing after Plantera. The Chauffeur caught up to the man, who tried the coward's way out by detonating some explosive devices. But Charles knew this was a feint, finding a trap door in the now-destroyed room. He confronted Plantera beneath the office in a sewage passageway, slowing the crime boss with a shot to his kneecap. Plantera tried to bargain with Charles, saying they could rule the world together. Charles refused, and then killed the Chain of Death. The running was over.

Charles buried Claire and turned away from his old life, and the life of Muerte, who died that day as well.

As years passed and new members joined, Charles was given the unexpected surprise of meeting his brother, Colin. Colin, who was still technically the younger brother, was given away at birth (Charlie was twelve at the time). When Charles met Colin again, he was now in his thirties! The Goddesses didn't need much convincing to offer his brother membership. Colin was given the title of the Bouncer and given the immortality injection. And so it was, until one fateful day.

After much boredom from the island, Charles decided to travel, somewhat accidentally, through the dimensional portal behind the Coke machine (...don't ask), which took him to Gaia. It was here that he came across a tall building, home to the now legendary Black Dragon Syndicate. With his years of mafia experience he joined right up and loved every second of it. He was a vital member in a diamond heist, a diamond with great technological advances. After that, he sort of laid low in the building. Then, one day, the syndicate just was no more. Charles took the cars he had collected and wandered again for quite some time.

Charles resided in Barton Town, using all the money he had made to live the easy life. He had also heard news of his brother entering Gaia, as well. It was a short lived happiness, however, for disaster was upon Barton Town. Invaders, evil invaders, were emerging from every side. Charles could not see Barton go down in flames, so he took up his scythe and helped defend the walls.

His most significant battles were on the West Wall, specifically his fight with Heavy Lifter, which Charles won. He would also go down in the history books for his leadership of a small army on the outside of the walls, keeping an evil army from invading, if only a temporary victory. Unfortunately the fight exhausted him and he had to retreat for the remainder of Grand Battle.

Time passed again, and fate landed on Charles's doorstep. A letter arrived from a Joseph Brown, whom Charles met later that evening at a fish and chips shop. It was decided that Charles would be hired as chauffeur and personal bodyguard to Mr. Brown of A~E Corp. An assassin interrupted the meeting, but it was nothing Charles couldn't handle, proving he was fit for the job. He then transported himself and Mr. Brown to the main building of A~E where he is now residing in a penthouse.

His tasks were pretty simple up to the time of the Carter City robot attacks. Charles himself didn't participate in the bounty hunting chaos wihin the city, but was given instructions by Joseph Brown to apprehend any and all cores he could find. The Chauffeur began pursuit by tracking down a psychic he breifly met during Grand Battle, named Owle Isohos. On top of that he reached out to old aquaintances for their help, as well as A~E workers and their technology. It wasn't long before a lead on a core was found.

Taking a business associate, Elysia Kavanagh, along with him, Charles was quick to the site of an underground base. Feeling wary about the whole situation he called Joseph Brown for backup, finding instead some very old friends, as well as a few new ones, coming to his aid. The invasion found hostility, however, and many explosions ensued.

Pursuing the core led him through the sewers and to an inn within Barton Forest, where yet another battle began. Stryphe Epothos and James Black (who Charles never properly met nor realized he had actually been there) came to his rescue, soon followed by Sey Kaikou. Charles followed the core further to the Barton Mountains, Sey in tow. Unfortunately the core eluded him, but just barely.

Some time after the core fiasco Charles was in Gambino running collecting errands for Joseph Brown when he noticed things weren't quite right with the world- ninja penguins, battling hair products, and talking melons, to name a few. Teaming up with his old friend Crim he soon heard that Gaia had erupted into the realm of Chaos. Staying close to Crim, the two proceeded to investigate. However, somewhere along the way they were separated, only to reunite again- with the addition of Stryphe and three foreign milkmaids- at a temple in the middle of a strange vortex. There he saw many familiar world-saving faces, getting the inclination that this was no ordinary day.

From the temple emerged the true power behind the strange events, a man named Leon whom the Chauffeur had never met before. This Leon sooned revealed his plot, sending forth three entities of Chaos to distract the team gathered while he began his plans of destroying the universe the Gods loved so much.

The patrons of the temple soon split up to go forth and quell these creatures, Charles being more than happy to assist. He first caught up with a being calling herself Amp, an entity of pure power and destruction. Without much help from himself the force facing Amp defeated her with some powerful techniques.

It would be revealed that Amp had taken over the body of Sam Browning, whom Charles had met briefly during the core business. The naked Browning was delirious and unaware of how she had gotten there. Covering her with his coat, he took her and Owle, a contributing member of the force, back to the Temple of Chaos.

Feeling their situation to be safe, Charles left and reunited with Crim and Flare, another old battle companion, taking the group- plus the milkmaids- to pursue the next closest creature of Chaos. At a Gambino boardwalk they came across a fight already in progress, proceeding to assist two large men fight Null, an egg-like beast. In the end, a powerful one-two combo from Charles and Crim (while Stryphe stayed in the van with the milkmaids) would defeat Null, the naked, horrific, obese body of a tycoon named Conrad becoming revealed.

After a strange standoff between Flare, Crim, and the Chauffeur versus the two large men, the trio were the victors, all of them receiving a strange egg which contained special gifts for each of them. Charles received a special raccoon mask, which would change his appearance to that of whatever or whomever he would think about. However, he was unaware of this at the time.

Hurrying back to the temple, Crim and two others were sucked in while the others were to wait patiently until the fate of the world was decided. Wrong. The group outside was suddenly attacked by two creatures that appeared to be powered-up versions of Amp and Null. With the assistance of Sam and a woman named Alexiel, Charles was able to defeat the "amped" version of Amp without much grief. Unbeknownst to him, he ended up assisting in the defeat of Leon within the temple. The day was safe again!

Several uneventful days passed before Charles found himself in the middle of another pickle, this one involving even more problems pertaining to the Gods. Before he knew it he found himself in the Dreaming Realm, meeting "relatives" of Owle, who was in pursuit of Rafe. Given special clothes to wear for their journey into the Underworld, the Chauffeur was now a representation of the Grim Reaper- nothing but bones, a cloak, pants, and his scythe.

Their journey was indeed a strange one, but with his collegiate knowledge of all things mythological, Charles helped the team Owle had thrown together through the River of Styx, past an elemental minotaur, and on to the island of Avalon. Here, the group found themselves on a boat carrying the body of King Arthur, holding the broken sword Excalibur. Curiosity getting the better of him, the Chauffeur picked up the broken sword to examine it for clues, only to find himself struck mute and mistaken for Arthur by wailing women at a nearby shore.

Once on the island, he found himself face to face with another unbelievable sight- the three Deities of the Ponpiki Gosho. Offering their assistance to defeat the god of death, Thanatos, they informed Charles he would be unable to go with the group, for he was stuck with Excalibur. The party proceeded without him, and he was left alone with his three Deities. Soon, however, they revealed to him the secret of defeating Thanatos, given in the gift of a kiss, passed on from Michelle the Sex Goddess. She then removed the sword from his hands, lifting his curse.

After a test of loyalty from Eleanor, Christine bestowed a transporting mirror to him, sending the Chauffeur on his way. Before they did, the trio revealed to him that there was someone special they wanted him to protect on Gaia, that he would have to stay there a while longer before he could return home. With this he begrudgingly left them behind.

He appeared in time to inform Owle how to defeat her opponent, passing the kiss of life to her. She used it against Thanatos, thinking that now the battle was over and Rafe was hers again. Sadly, the fates had no intention of returning Rafe in his living form to Owle and soon everyone was abruptly removed from the dream realm back to the real world.

Back in the real world, Charles received a call from Samantha Browning. He had given her his contact information during the whole situation with the Chaos, plugging himself as a bodyguard. This was the reason why she had called. Upon an invitation to dinner he went over to her apartment to conduct business. But fate had another few things in mind besides business...

And that brings us to the present day.
