The clouds hung in the sky, casting many shadows upon the waiting earth beneath. Chloe glanced up as a rather large and gray one floated over her head. Looked like more rain later. As if it hadn't been raining enough all week. Not that she disliked being stuck in the house with the little girl she'd been unwillingly given care of. But she had needed clothes of her own. And the woman didn't want to bring her out into the rain. Having just hatched from her egg.

That still had an odd ring to it. Hatch. Since when did children hatch from eggs?

The child besides her kept a firm grip on her hand, her big green eyes running over her surroundings. She had a strong curiosity about her regarding the world around her. Chloe liked that. It was a good trait to have. Though she didn't seem to have that childish manner most kids her...well, she didn't quite look her age. Being in truth not even 6 months old, yet looking around five or six. But she didn't have that childish behavior. For the most part, she was calm and collected. Until someone made a loud noise.

Parisa stopped in her tracks and squinted at something down the street. Not knowing the child had stopped, Chloe kept moving until her body was jerked back at the tug on her hand. Getting down on level with the girl, she looked in the direction her eyes were.

The park. Birds sang from behind the silver fence. Parisa was intently watching it. Before Chloe could say anything to her, she broke free from the woman's grasp and ran off, holding up her long skirts with both hands.

"Pari! Don't go off alone!" With a sigh, Chloe took off after her, marveling at the child's speed. She was fast when she was set on something.
