Little kids.
Seriously. I get up early every sunday to go to the church with my family, what a boomer, I hate church, but whatever, I am here already so let's just sit and listen to the preaching, okay? Cool. So, the father is speaking, I of course am listening, he has quite some charisma, when suddenly, out of nowhere, a baby starts ******** crying. Subsequently, another one will throw a tantrum while another one starts yelling.
No wonder why kids weren't allowed in churches back in the times of ol' Jesus.
What do you hate the most about going to church?

The you're going to hell if you don't believe in god teaching and the whole you must keep teaching god to your loved ones bcuz u don't want them to go to hell. The morals are good though. I don't like I have to memorize bible verses.

I hate it because of the little children as well, but because I feel they are brainwashing them. I am 17, but I got the opportunity to go to the children's church (I can pass for younger) and it was terrible! Convincing children they must be good just because that's what God wants! Not because they should simply be good people, but because they will go to hell if they aren't good.

Tithing. The fact that any old or sick person will donate tons of money to the church. It's disgusting and I have never given money to them because of that. Every single church on this planet needs to be taxed. No one is more special over the other, regardless.

When my father was still alive he would just phisycally threaten me if I said I wouldn't go to church with them, so that settled the whole situation :l

Whenever I went with my mom I mostly hated how uncomfortable it was to pretend like I believed in it. She didn't and still doesn't know that I'm an atheist; I'm not even sure she can comprehend what an atheist is. I don't blame her, she just can't really understand.

Pixel Mine Whenever I went with my mom I mostly hated how uncomfortable it was to pretend like I believed in it. She didn't and still doesn't know that I'm an atheist; I'm not even sure she can comprehend what an atheist is. I don't blame her, she just can't really understand. My mother doesn't seem to comprehend what being an atheist is about either. Is quite annoying, specially when we talk about my beliefs. She ALWAYS reaches the conclussion that I am confused. She might have a point since I consider myself an agnostic atheist.

I agree with you, religion gets so many benefits from governments just to propagate their bias rhetoric. If they'd just told churches to pay property Taxes then our economy wouldn't be so deep in the hole. It's not fair that the church gets to contribute to the laws of that dictate our lives (such as marriage and academics) and they're free to do as they please (such as avoiding the laws that govern every one else, like child-molestation).

I guess I can see where she would be coming from, since to her, God is as obviously real as the sky is blue. To say that you don't believe in any higher powers to a person like that would be like someone telling you, "No way dude, the sky is obviously yellow." Some people are capable of understanding why we might feel a different way, while others, like our parents, can't possibly see why anyone would see the sky as anything but blue.
