Since there are a few "Funniest Player Name" and stuff like that, why not do the opposite? =]

Anyway... Has anyone seen horrible names in WoW before or hate the overused words they put in? For me, I hate Death Knights who include the following words:

Death
Dark
Blood
Arthas
DK
Knight

*list goes on and on*

Feel free to put in any crappy names you've seen and name pet peeves that you hate. biggrin

Anything named Sephoroth or some variant
NE/Belf hunters named Legolas
In fact, any name from LotR that would make sense for certain race/class combos
And people who put Xx or xX at the beginning and ends of their names.

I agree with the XxbadnamexX.

I also hate stupid, cutesy, and poorly spelled names like Bbygirl. There is someone with that name on my server. And yes, she is just as stupid as her name would suggest.

one of my friends changed his lock's name to "Erehxeseerf"

read it backwards. I'm surprised it hasn't been reported yet. That's not so much bad, as.... funny, though.

Kill
Pwn
Alliance
Horde..
in names are really common in my battlegroup. I think in every BG I get in I see at least one person with KillingYou name or IPwnYou, or AllianceSux, or some other thing like that.

I hate rogues with names like backstabber, or SuperPwn, etc. though there was one rogue that had a name like that who turned out to be a nice guy.

Now a Warrior with the name GnomePunter on the other hand, is an epic win, even if seeing 7 variations of it is annoying.

I have Blood at the start of my DK's name. Not because she's a Blood-specced DK, but because I had an orc shaman RP character named Bloodhand. This RP character became a WoW character.

When I made my orc DK, I wanted to make a name similar to my shaman's name, and the thought of naming a DK something like that didn't even enter my brain until she was 80; after I'd re-raced her to Troll and re-named her Bloodspear, thinking of emulating the Darkspear Tribe's compound word name with my character's compound word name... I'm not about to spend money just to rename the character when I like the name anyways.

So yeah, long story short, my Blood-specced Troll DK's name starts with Blood, but there's a bit of a story behind the name beyond the seemingly obvious.

I think she's just referring to the fact that the capitalization is asymmetrical due to WoW's naming conventions only allowing the first letter of a name to be capitalized, and everything else being in lower case, regardless of how it was typed it.

I think that's what I thought the first time I read the post since she did type
Xxinserthorriblenamehereplzxx, but I don't really like usernames anywhere that are Xx something xX or UsernameFollowedByANumber or username with m£ss£d Üp symbols.
