Find my uncensored insecurities here.
I've tried everything to get rid of the front weight. It puffs out over the tops of my jeans and makes me feel absolutely disgusting. I tried lots of core and abdominal exercises and have HELLA stomach muscles. I can flex them. They're really strong. But the fat just STAYS.
And I'm really scared that it immediately affects what people think of me. And I'm having trouble shaking the feeling a great deal. I'm fully aware of how vain it sounds and how pity-parade it probably looks, but I feel disgusted by my body and I want to feel good about it. It's the only piece of me I'm deeply insecure about. I mean, how can I feel good about looking gross to myself? It's uncomfortable... and well, I think you can probably get the picture.
Put this is Women's if it seems more at home there. I really don't care, I just want help on dealing with this bullshit insecurities.

What constitutes "core exercises"?

I think that diet really affects that area. If you cut all junk food, fast food, etc and went on VEGGIES and healthy food for a year, while doing the core exercises, I really do believe the fat would go away.

Streetlight Fights I think that diet really affects that area. If you cut all junk food, fast food, etc and went on VEGGIES and healthy food for a year, while doing the core exercises, I really do believe the fat would go away. Been trying for a long, long time. And it's really hard when you're a poor college student that can't drive anyway. Been buying veggies and cooking veggies whenever I can.

It's almost summer, take up swimming. If you're actively swimming and not just floating around it's one of the best exercises there is.

Cait, love, if you're not doing cardio that might be it. The core exercises will give you tight tummy muscles all day but it won't really take the fat out from on top of it.
I'm struggling with that myself. Good luck, hon. WE CAN DO IT!

I'm having kind of the same problem, I can do ab exercises forever but I'm still round. But now that I've started running/using the elliptical, it's getting a little better.

A stairmaster while using light dumbells, keeping your whole body in motion. Either that or actual stairs. Basically, the more you fight gravity the harder the workout and the more pounds you shed.

Eat different food like Street said. Yogurt helps, stay away from fast food like the plague. Don't drink soda.
