Alright. D's hand. We have a million topics about D, but what about the parasite on his hand? Sure, he's a wise cracking pain in the rear end, but he's also funny and keeps D from completely destroying himself. So I think we need a topic for him.
So talk about him to your hearts content. Quite frankly, even if he is attached to D, I see him as a main character. I think he brings some much needed comic relief to the books. One doesn't really seem to notice how much a little comic relief is needed unless it isn't there.
I also think that the creator of Naruto probably read the books or watched some of the movies and liked the thought of D's hand, seeing as how one of the villians, Deidara, has mouths located on both his hands.
What do the rest of you think about him? Do you think that hand has inspired others in anime? Give me your thoughts. biggrin

Mr. Left hand is my favorite character besides D. I always love the wise cracks he makes.

The classic comic relief in my opinion. I watched the first movie the other day and was laughing so hard as his wise cracks. rofl

comic relief and he provides insight into Ds character by the parasites little quips. "And you claim your father was none other than-" "Thats enough!" D snaps.
Just that alone from the first movie. Tells you SOMEONE has DADDIE issues.. ^^

I definitely agree about the comic relief when it comes to the stories. Had it been D alone, the novels would have been good, but lacking in humour.
More or less, the symbiote in his left hand is an interesting thing in itself. I simply loved him in Vampire Hunter D: Bloodlust-- the English voice actor did an amazing job with his character.

Yup, I fully agree. It was much better than the first movie, but the movie was old so we still love it. XD
So let's talk about his powers. Do you think they are unique? Overdone?
Of course D has Daddy issues, and Mommy issues...Good thing he has the parasite! Though I think D's left hand needs a name o.O

Yeah, getting chopped off of the arm probably doesn't feel too good. Plus he has to worry about D killing himself because we all know that once D does something, he doesn't stop. XD
I don't know what I would call him o.O I think he would need a good name.

Don't forget D clenches his first super tight and causes Lefty pain whenever he says something that upsets him.

Yes, that's true. Though I think that Unholy's comment would be more punishment that D's current punishment XD

I don't understand why they keep calling it a parasite when parasites do more harm than good. While I can see the two having a symbiotic relationship, I just don't see the hand really doing any harm. *shrugs*

Since hand saves him from oblivion in blood lust on several ocassions. "have you ever heard the phrase too close for comfort?.....well that was damn uncomfortable!"
