The journal is a black and blood red leather book, both colors sewn carefully together to make the cover. Within its pages, a red leather cord sits to mark the page. The pages are filled with Delilah's thoughts and ideas. Her hand writing seems as little rushed but for the most part, still written with special care to stay on the lines for even flow. For example, if a meta spends the night with her, they may develop a small cough the next day. If they spend a week with her, they may develop flu-like symptoms. And the illness only progresses from there. The only cure for this illness is to refrain from being around her for long periods of time, or take a break from her if they do become sick. [Diary Entry]
I want to play outside, but I'm not allowed. Daddy says I cannot play with others, and I can't have friends. He says that I have an illness, a contagious disease that infects any one who stays around me too long. He thinks it may have something to do with that box that dissapeared in the desert. I've been cursed somehow. I can never have friends. Well, maybe I didn't want them. What so good about having friends? I don't need them. I'm fine with just me, Daddy, and Roosevelt. No one else. Besides, I'm too scared to go out and talk to people. They always stare at me, and make me feel weird and unwelcome.
In the desert, I never had friends. I tried to talk to them, but then they'd see I was different. That I had wings. Granted, Daddy had wings, but no one else did. The children didn't understand me. And when I spoke, they just pointed and laughed and it only made things worse. They laughed at me, at who I was. I was filled with such a sorrow that I just wanted them all to go away, just for them to disappear. The children cried out in pain, I could hear them. I saw them, they bubbled and contorted and turned black. They screamed at me to stop, but I couldn't. It wouldn't go away. The villagers found out that it was because of me. They blamed me for all the bad things that happened in that little town in the desert. They told Daddy we had to leave, and he complied. I ruined it all for him. It was my fault. I can't seem to control who I am. I can't make this illness go away. It will never die.
Daddy brought me to the academy. He said that the doctor there could help me. But I know she's not the same kind of doctor. She's a scientist. But she creates people; people like me. She might be able to fix me. But then again, I don't think even she can answer my prayers. I'm infected, and it won't go away.
Daddy said we may live here permanently now, and hopefully I can eventually make friends. I don't mind so much, I was okay without them, but the doctor says I'm missing out on so much. She told me that my normal illness was only contagious to other people like me. But that I could also purposefully spread my disease to others if I didn't stay calm. At least I understand a little more about this curse of mine. The doctor lady says she would like to run more tests on my condition to see what makes me this way and why this happens to me. She drew some blood, but I'm not really afraid of it. I'm used to it now. She wasn't the first to want to poke and prod to find out all about me from the inside out. And I don't mind that they do either. I just want to be okay again. Just want to be happy, and not sick all the time. And then maybe I can have just one friend. Just one wouldn't hurt would it? Would it?

✘✘Mother's Day✘✘
Delilah was humming to herself as she flipped through a cookbook, she was wearing a cute little apron as she was leaning over to read the next ingredient. She picked up an egg and cracked it into the bowl and began to mic the concoction with a wooden spoon. After she was done mixing it, she placed the dough in small circles onto the pan and placed it in the oven. She then hopped down off the stool and then wandered into Daemin's bedroom with a glass of orange juice and was seemingly trying not to let the overfilled cup spill. She set down the big glass, which took two hands to hold, on the nightstand next his bed then climbed up onto his bed and sat on his chest.
Whining softly, she bounced up and down to shake him awake. He groaned softly and rolled over, Delilah giving a soft squeak as she fell from his chest next to him. She crawled back over to his and tugged at his pillow with all her might. It eventually came loose and his head hit the mattress, but still no use in him waking up. She frowned and then took the pillow and plopped it onto his face then laid over the pillow.
"Wake up d-daddy!!" she whined as she began to playfully throw a tantrum, wriggling about on the pillow covering his face. A mumbled voice rang out from beneath the pillow as to hands shot forth and grabbed Delilah, beginning to tickle her. Delilah squealed and giggled as she wriggled even more. The hands picked her up and lightly tossed her aside as the rest of the body sat up. Daemin removed the pillow and smiled at Delilah.
"Good morning, pumpkin." he greeted and then stretched and yawned. As he looked over to the clock to view the time, he noticed the cup of orange juice. "Oh, for me?" he asked as Delilah responded with a nod. "How thoughtful!" he replied as he noticed the trail of spilled orange juice leading from the hallway as he laughed. "What's the occasion?" he asked as Delilah smiled. "M-mother's d-...d-...d-day.." she responded as then Daemin burst out laughing. "Oh honey.. I'm not your mommy, I'm your daddy." he explained as Delilah looked back at him with a look of confusion.
"Then who is my mommy?" Daemin frowned and sighed. "Well, you don't have a mommy yet. Which is fine. Not everyone has a mommy. So don't worry about it." Delilah smiled and then the fire alarm rang out from kitchen as Daemin jumped up suddenly as he ran into the kitchen, and then pulled out the pan from the oven and set it on the stove, the burnt cookies sizzling and smoking. Delilah ran in with a look of worry.
"I-i'm sorry!!" she exclaimed as tears began to well up in her eyes. Daemin fanned the cookies and turned on the vent in the stove, he noticed that the cookies were even shaped like hearts. Delilah was crying now as Daemin felt bad about the situation, she had tried to impress him on mother's day and failed. "Pumpkin, don't cry. It's alright. See?" he took off a cookie, blowing on the charred dough as he then took a bite of it and did his best to keep a straight face, resisting the temptation to twist his face in disgust.
Delilah watched curiously then was curious to try it herself. "No no, that's okay. Go ahead and bring that orange juice into the dining room and I'll cook up some eggs to eat. How does that sound?" he asked with a smile. Delilah nodded happily and ran off. In the mean time, Daemin disposed of the burnt cooking and started to make the eggs for their breakfast.

✘✘New Opportunities✘✘
Genba says we are all going on a trip back to the Academy with Mama! I'm really excited about going back. Genba also says that I can make friends now. Papa never let me have friends, but now I can have them. Lulu is coming too so he can make friends also! Lulu and I will make lots of friends. Kiki might come too, but she's all sick. Did I do that? I don't think I did. Genba says I don't making people sick as much anymore. I don't like making people sick. Mama goes out a lot to do stuff. She's friendly. Genba and Mama get along a lot. But Genba is really sad. I think it's because Oma is gone now. Did they break up? I want to see Oma again and play with his shineys! I'm going to have lots of fun going back to school and playing with other children and making lots of friends. I miss all my friends, including River. I miss him the most!
