Which groups could you see yourself in?
Running around in Saturday Market being a noisy pest!
Cosplaying in a convention, or anywhere really
In a friendly and snack-infested art workshop
In a nice, quiet book discussion (also snack-infested)
Playing whiffle ball and eating potato salad near Forest Park
Hitting up the arcades or having a console party
Paintball or padded Medieval weapons warfare
Just a slice of pizza and a movie are fine
Other — tell us about it, please

There are people with different temperaments and interest on here, and I'd like to see birds of a feather flock together.

For example, I'm more of a quiet person who doesn't like crowds and noise much, who isn't that into most anime and tends to prefer older series or better yet some good vintage Hollywood or foreign and indie films, and who would rather have a picnic with some card games and a whiffle ball and a bat or go visit the Rose garden than go to a convention or a mall, and who is flat broke and can't afford to do much.

My point is I can see there being more than one group in this guild, each doing different things. The rambunctious kids who like to just meander around making spectacles of themselves should get together and do their thing while the more quiet and laid back and purpose- or destination-oriented among do theirs; same with the literary types as opposed to the visually artistic or musical, or the paintballing mud-stompers as opposed to the anime and gamer shut-ins.

Any feedback on this matter would be appreciated.

First choice is referring to me, or do I just find a connection that isn't there?

Perhaps subconsciously; wasn't really thinking about that event at the time I created the poll.

Well I just clicked other because really a lot of those sound like lots of fun and I can't just choose one. But I do see where you're going with that idea of yours. Like I do enjoy running around, and cosplay, I don't mind a snack infested workshop, I'm not really one for books, potato salad is nastyy, arcades and video games are amazing, I like airsofting better than paintball, pizza and movies are fun too.
Maybe *random idea* Maybe we could have different types of people host different meet ups like.. you could stay the leader fo the guild if you'd like or pass it on or whatever, but maybe you could specifically host the kinds of meet-ups you'd like to go to, set it up and wait until people can go and go. And for the people that are more hyperactive can have a different meet-up coordinator you could call it and they could organize they're own whatever meet-ups. Like that or something.. just a random idea

I've been waiting for members to get off their asses and step up and get their own meet-ups organized for nearly a month now.

No one ever said that the only person who can organize meet-ups is the guild president or a moderator of the guild. That's what this damn place is for, so people can get on and get together with people who may be interested in whatever happens to be going on or pops into their heads to do.

I'm up for pretty much anything, though in the announcement you said something about card games.

I enjoy card games.

Anywho, the more free something is the better. sweatdrop

I never have gotten around to learning Texas Hold'em but it seems like it's actually a challenging and interesting game. I've always played games like Cribbage and Euchre, and Egyptian ********> was a decent drinking game I used to play that I suppose can be fun without booze. I used to play Jass, and even have a special German deck of cards for that game, but no one here knows how to play and I forgot how to myself. Same goes with mahjong, though I lost my set of tiles years ago. I want to get back into playing card games, but I don't want to have to go to the Lucky Lab to play Euchre.

I could see myself doing all of those things, so I just put other. I'm not really the type to organize groups or lead things, sorry. I'd probably be up for anything anyone wants to do, unless it involves lots of running or being on my feet for too long ( I get extreme pain in my feet after about an hour, sometimes less).

Running as recreation? Gotta be ******** kidding me!

I'm already seeing that the weeaboo/otaku crowd will have to start doing its own thing, because I can't be the only one that has no interest in doing nothing but playing video games and dressing up like a clown, gibbering Japlish like a village idiot on a diet of Yu-Gi_Oh.

Some people like to go running or whatever for fun. I think that's nuts, but to each their own.
