Among Consulate of Portugal or Consular Sections of the Embassies of Portugal. Note: Visas can be extended in Portugal with the Aliens and Borders.

When can I apply? Attendance in person at the time of each Consulate.

What do I need to apply? Visa application form (obtained through the Consulate); Valid travel document (more than three months after the expiration of the visa); Three passport-size photographs; Criminal record (for stays exceeding 90 days); Medical or health insurance (for stays exceeding 90 days); Proof of accommodation; Proof of means of subsistence; Promise of employment contract signed by both parties; Opinion of the General Labour Inspectorate.
Note: This application for a visa should be preceded by notification by the employer in a job offer to the Office of Employment and Vocational Training, except in the context of visas for sports / entertainment and scientific research or activity that presupposes a highly qualified technical knowledge that also dispenses advice of IGT.
