You find a flyer outside your team room:
You are cordially invited to the REGIONAL BALL.
A gathering of the regions guilds and other social classes is to be held at the Crystal Arena at the center of the region.
An event held every 25 years, it is meant to branch out peace between the various guilds and clans of Pokemon all throughout the land!
Only five Pokemon per team may attend this event, it is also required to where your guild/clans colors for identification purposes.
We hope you enjoy the festivities~

Solaris---Glacia---Ami
"If you dont hold still, Sol. I wont be able to fix it." Glacia mewled in annoyance, paws adjusting the white collar around the Espeon's throat.
Solaris grumbled something, earning a disapproving look from Ami who stood next to her father, scratching at her own collar.
"I dont see why we have to go anyways." She pouted, having rather wanted to go explore with Pilot instead.
"Its a social event for guilds and clans. If we dont go then we'll come off as rude, dear." Solaris explained slowly, rubbing a paw on the golden sun-shaped emblem on the front of the collar.
"We all set? I'll get the alarm."
The guild master trotted to the golden bell and spun around, striking it with his tail.
If anything this event would be calm and peaceful and maybe Selena wouldnt show up at all.
He hoped.

Natalia actually entered the room before Jen this time. She was determined to be apart of these festivities due to their inactiveness for the past few Entire-Guild missions. The absol refuses to believe Jen's lies, how Natalia was sleeping so soundly and refused to wake up. It's simply ridiculous. Surely I would wake. She told herself. The lapras entered with rolling eyes before looking to their leader. She then recalled the notice of that ball and raced out of the room only to return with flippers filled with cloth.
Natalia was now busy looking at the guild leader's child. Whoa. How long had she been asleep?

Following in after Kage was a lone Lopunny sporting a flowing, gold, silken parka draped over his shoulders. Needless to say he was a little embarrassed to appear in public considering how he was dressed but it was the only thing he had that matched the specified dress-code for the shindig.

"This is soo cool!" Flint entered the ball area; dressed up nicely in a pure white sport-jacket with gold trim. An egg also in hand that he was forced to bring with him; since leaving it alone when it's just about to hatch probably wasn't the best idea.

     Morana&& Incultyr&& Altus&& Crown&& AceraceaeTeam Polaris approached the Crystal Arena in a tight little pack. Incultyr had wanted their team to skip the event, but after a lot of arguing from all the other members, he had finally caved in. None of them were dressed up though: Team Polaris just didn't have that kind of money. Not to mention all of them (except Acer, who had just hatched) had been wild pokemon for most of their lives, and clothing just isn't something very familiar or comfortable with them. Instead, each of them simply just bore a small sun-shaped pin. Morana's on a white collar, Incultyr's on his backpack, Altus' on the fur above his heart, Crown's on a white ribbon she tied on the end of her tail, and Acer's tied onto the sprout on his head. "So what do we even do here?" Incultyr grumbled, looking around at the other assembled teams. He still wasn't all that happy about coming here. To him, this was time wasted, time they could be used for taking missions. "It's to build relations between all the different groups in the region, I've told you that already." Altus explained patiently. "Besides, our team really hasn't had enough interaction with fellow Sun Guilders. This would be a good experience""Turtwee! Turt, twuerrrr!" Acer exclaimed happily. "Acer play!"Barely two weeks old, the Turtwig had already learned his first two words. It wasn't much of a surprise that one of them was "play" and the other was his name. "Why did we think it was a good idea to bring Acer again?" Incultyr murmured, annoyed. Morana spoke up. "Um...I think it was because there would be no one left to take care of him since everyone wanted to come-""I didn't want to come!""And you said you didn't want to be left alone with the baby. So we are all now proceeding to the ball." Crown finished for Morana. Incultyr just crossed his short little arms, glaring at the entire room. "This better not take too long."The entire team was present, except for one member. Chronicler the Cherubi was still at the hospital, trying to recover. Though no one mentioned it, the fact loomed over the entire team. If it hadn't been for this, Incultyr probably wouldn't have been in such a bad mood.

The Espeon waved at his team lightly with his tail before addressing everyone.
"All set? Remember, you are representing the Guild of the Sun here. Try not to get into too much trouble." He smiled and motioned to the portal that had been rigged up to take them all the Crystal arena.
Ami lingered behind when her father and mother stepped through, not liking this even already.
Stupid social, she could be exploring those ancient ruins or goofing off with her Trapinch buddy.
Noticing a look she turned to stare at the Absol with the odd colors who had been giving it.
Haughtily she flicked her tail and trotted forward.
"Oi, Ice Princess. Dont snub her."
Ami turned to see a black and red Eevee advancing on her.
"Oh? I can snub whoever I want!"
"Just 'cause you're the guild master's kid dont give you the right. I 'oughta smack the s**t out of you!"
Fire was on a roll, and ooooh, no Nyte to keep her out of trouble.
The two female's bristled at eachother before each snapped away and stalked off in opposite directions.
Fire heading to Natalia.
"Snooty little blue menace."
      
Jazz-----Anthony----Shiro----Liena---Fire---Taki---Volkner
Jazz was first to bound in, sporting a long white scarf that, when coupled with his goggles, made him look like an aviator.
Right behind him with a scowl, Shiro glanced around in annoyance.
He hadnt wanted to come, but figured that Vira would be here so why not? Maybe he could sneak a dance or two out of her.
"Hey~" He whistled, suddenly behind her, scratching at the golden bowtie with the white emblem of a sun embroidered on the front knot.
Taking up the rear with Taki, who was already princely enough [Or so he said, Liena stroked the white ribbons on her horns and sighed, not quite sure how to take this event.
"Relax, it'll be fine. Anyone bug you, you just tell Ole'Anthony. Alright, hun?"
Next to her the Smeargle with the white and gold Fedora grinned.
"Slow down." Volkner complained, totting an egg on his back. He was already gold in color, so he sported a simple white jacket that had an odd military feel to it.
  
Selena---Spira---Alfred
A cackle greeted Solaris the second he appeared at the event area.
Great.
"How is it going, Solly?!" She jeered with a cruel smile, a black collar around her neck with a silver crescent moon on it.
Right behind her Spira was adjusting her own identification emblem. Black ribbons in her ponytail with a silver clasp.
"Not looking forward to this." A disgruntled Gardevoir next to her muttered.
"What? I figured you loved these kind of things. You know, all the girls for you to harrasse and the free booze."
He was silent for a moment, brushing ashes from his cigar off the black tie he wore.
"Yeah, its real run telling some pervert every five seconds that 'No, I'm not interested in a dance because I am in fact male'."
Spira snickered at this, earning a rare glare from the psychic type.
Despite his complaint, she felt that wasnt the only thing bothering him.

Jack blushed at his lover's commentary, not really for the obvious reasons since an actual underlying embarrassment still had a hold on him. Public signs of affections still seemed just so awkward when there were a multitude of people around."You too." The Lopunny still felt obligated to respond; though he did follow up by trying to discreetly scoot out of the Gallade's grasp. Making his way for the portal.

Just as he heard a familiar voice, Flint stopped in place and about-faced before the entrance of the portal and stood there in compliance with Volkner's complaint."Win~" The Buneary commented, addressing of course to the Shinx's attire (Since it matched his own he was pretty much complimenting himself). The conversation was easily distracted off course though as he felt the egg in his hands begin to shake vigorously."Oh dear..." He peeped out; panicking on what to do.

Morana&& Incultyr&& Altus&& Crown&& Aceraceae "We ready?" Altus asked the team, and no one said no, so they entered the portal one at a time. Altus helped guide Acer in. They hurriedly moved away from the portal once they got to the other side (since no one wanted pokemon to teleport and appear above them) and looked around at the crowd. Incultyr and Altus both bristled as they saw the colours of the Moon guild on some of the Pokemon there, but the rest of the team were blissfully ignorant of it. Acer was incredibly excited about the sheer number of pokemon around, and could barely contain himself. "Turtweee!" He cried out happily, and before any of the other members of the team could stop him, bounded into the crowd. He pounced at a nearby Pikachu, caught its white scarf in his mouth, and contently gnawed on the white piece of fabric. "Acer!" Morana cried out, struggling through the crowd after the small Turtwig. She froze at the sight of the Turtwig jumping at Jazz and shrunk backwards a bit. She knew she should go apologize for the baby and take Acer back, but the prospect of going up to and talking with a stranger she has only met in passing at the guild froze her to the spot. It was also just about then that she realized she was in a crowd, and it made her extremely uncomfortable. Oh...she really wasn't cut out for this...

Natalia gasped as she was pulled off into a corner by her partner to be dressed into something "appropriate". When Natalia was finally released she was in a laced black dress, puffed slightly with a petticoat. Jen dressed herself in a long white scarf and a her shell lined with white lace.
"I feel like a dress-up doll." she growled, glaring at her friend.
The lapras hushed the absol and threw her into the portal.
Once in the huge room filled with Pokemon, Natalia saw Fire and rushed to her. "Fire! Hi!" She grinned but soon realized that a certain someone was missing. "Where's Nyte?"
Suddenly she heard the word 'booze' and her head shot up. "Booze?! Where?!"

A little goggles-wearing Trapinch trotting along at his heels, Blade slipped through the portal and over to take his usual place near Solaris, a white belt with a sun-shaped clasp tied around his waist. His eyes slid around the room and onto Selena, where they stayed locked with the usual lack of emotion; however a more astute observer might notice that he shifted a tad bit closer to the Guildmaster and his daughter, just daring her to try anything so he'd have an excuse to snap her in half.
Down on the floor, Pilot glanced up at the Scizor with a little apprehension, fiddling with his goggles that currently had a simple sun-shaped pin attatched to them before sidling over to Ami, not wanting to stick around daddy and the babysitter for any longer than he needed to. He wasn't sure they really approved of him yet...
"Hey," he said upon reaching the little blue Eevee, then frowned slightly at spotting the annoyed look on her face, "What's the matter? Don't like parties?"
Also deciding to throw caution to the wind and join the party, Jonah tied a gold and white ribbon around his scarf as he entered and looked around, noting all the various folks from both the Sun and Moon Guilds who had made an appearance. Well, since he was a mercenary and so technically only a guest of the Sun Guild, he found no problem with the company, only smirking a little when he caught sight of the Moon Gardevoir. It never failed to make him feel a little bit more happy with how his own evolution had turned out every time he saw that fellow...
Now then, there was food around here somewhere, yes?     Tavian && Cael && Iski && Cerberus && Rembrandt
"Yeah yeah, prince of darkness, we heard you the first five times." Iski remarked, waving one hand dismissively, luring an attempt at a threatening growl from Cerberus, that really only ended up sounding like he was choking on something.
The Charmeleon chuckled as the team stepped through the portal, and they all looked around feeling much less silly in what they had to wear; it was always nice to see that other people were dressed more ridiculously than you.
Tavian adjusted the white and gold vest he was wearing as he glanced over to where Cael had all but forgotten to be upset that the Guild-colored scarf around his neck was covering up his precious sapphire, and was getting that thieving glint in his eye again. Great, looked like there'd be some babysitting to be done tonight...
While Cerberus simply scratched irritably at his white collar with sun pin and sulked off to find a dark corner to lie down in, Iski and Rembrandt both noticed a pair of pokemon who seemed rather cranky: a Larvitar and a Riolu, both of whom looked to be fixated on the presence of Moon Guilders at the party.
Within seconds the Charmeleon and Smeargle had made their way over and were grinning amicably at the two, the white and gold scarf replacing the usual green one around Iski's tail and the similarly-colored jacket on Rem serving as clear signs that they were not the enemy.
"Hey dudes, what's up with the grouchiness? It's a party!"
"The presence of a few disliked characters can't be allowed to ruin the whole event~"

Solaris quickly escaped Selena and her annoying laugh at his displeasure. Walking to speak to a lovely Xatu with pale coloring who sported a solid red emblem as a bandana.
Glacia was quick to follow, but Ami darted off to the side to seeth in silence.
Stupid party.
Hearing Pilot she scowled and gave a pout.
"I would rather be exploring!" She whined.
Jazz-----Anthony----Shiro----Liena---Fire---Taki---Volkner---Maylene
Shiro wrapped both arms around the Weavile in a tight hug.
"Sorry, the teams been keeping me busy. We're extremely crowded now. That and babysitting the spaz and his pals. Luckily I got Anthony over there to do it for me now."
A sharp squeak made him turn around to see Jazz flailing as his scarf was suddenly grabbed, finally losing balance and falling onto his face.
"I'm under attack! Code blue! Code red! Code green!"
"Alright, Jazz?" Liena asked in concern and he nodded. Then her eyes landed on the Turtwig who was responsible for the fail.
SO CUTE!
She squealed in joy and picked the baby up to hug.
Jazz stood, dusted himself off and glanced at the Houndour watching them. The little grass type must be one of her friends.
"Heya! You lost your little guy over here!"
Taki rolled his eyes from behind them and stalked off to find something to do.
Volkner blinked at the egg Flint held and then gave a startled mewl as the one on his back suddenly cracked and split in two, revealing a pink Riolu sitting on him as though he were a horse.
He blinked, wide-eyed. Not sure how to react.
Anthony turned from Liena when she ran off to address the Delcatty with a bright smile.
"Shiny~" Came his response. Yeah, real smooth.
Fire rolled her eyes, smoothing out her white neck ribbon. "Hell if I know, as long as hes bothering someone else I dont care and no offense but I'm tired of listening to him trying to rhyme something with your name."
Selena---Spira---Alfred
Selena smirked, watching Solaris stalk off in a rage and turned to Spira.
"I expect this event will end quite well."
The Lucario's ears flicked to the side, confused by the statement, but she didnt ask any questions and Selena pranced off to flirt with some regal looking Mightyena across the room.
She turned to mention her concern to the Gardevoir to find he had vanished and with blinking eyes she looked around.
a*****e probably went to find the alcohol table.
In reality he had just slipped off to a quiet corner with eyes closed, psychic senses at max to keep an 'eye' on things, however those eyes snapped open and went to the door when the other guests came in.
A large group of different Pokemon he didnt know and then a smaller group with a Gallade in the lead. His coloring awful similar to the Gardevoir.
Alfred narrowed his eyes.
Wondering if he could get away with teleporting and making the others walk home.
Looking around for a distraction he caught the smirk from that mercenary Gardevoir and blew a smoke ring in his direction.
Alfred's version of 'Go to hell'.

Jack tried to plead his way out of the situation instead of fighting it; still in Kage's grasp as they reappeared, though reluctant over the situation. By this point it wasn't like everyone didn't know what was going on already...But it still felt completely awkward to Jack. Public affection was apparently just only his thing when he wasn't actually in love.

Flint barely had enough time to give a chuckle at Volkner's situation before the egg in his arm cracked with violent force, causing the Buneary to drop it to the ground in the process. Fortunately the inhabitant wasn't harmed; a lone Skorupi now standing in a heap of eggshells staring wide-eyed at a certain Shinx before him."Mommy!" He finally cried after a moment of gawking. This of course sent Flint into a laughing fit.
