"ARE YOU FRIGGIN SERIOUS Ni-San?!" Phaeton fell to the ground, having been pushed out of the way by his older brother. Phaeton hit the ground hard, and he pushed himself up from the ground, dusting himself off, as he stared at his older brother. His brother was busy deflecting a group of kunai that Phaeton was supposed to be learning how to dodge. It was a long standing tradition that medical ninjas needed to be well versed in the art of avoiding bad things considering, if the medical ninja is taken down, then who heals the rest of the team? He could not believe that his brother had followed him to training yet again. Phaeton would never master any techniques at this rate. Phaeton stood there almost motionless, but he couldn't drown out the laughter of his fellow Chuunin as Phaeton had received yet another humiliation at the hands of his family. This was becoming a disturbing trend between his siblings. His brother finished with the kunai knives before approaching Phaeton.

"Phaeton, are you insane?! Those kunais could have hurt you! Then, what would mother think?!" Phaeton's eyebrows raised before he retorted. He could not seriously be blaming this on their mother. It was true that their mother got a little fragile after their father had been killed, but she had always let Phaeton make his own mistakes. It was his brother and sister who had taken on the roles as "Grand Protectors of Phaeton". Phaeton exhaled and shook his head. This was not worth the argument. He knew that the reason his brother had become this way were his father's final words to them. 'Keep your little brother safe you two. I'm counting on the both of you now. You have got to be strong and protect him. He's too little to protect himself now' It was true. At three years old, he had been too little to protect himself; however, that was literally two decades ago, and he was now in his twenties and a Chuunin for heaven's sake. He simply continued shaking his head in exasperation for a few moments before speaking to his brother. His tone remained even despite the fact he was angry right now.

"Ok, Ni-san. You are correct that throwing kunais at myself sounds insane, but how else am I going to learn to dodge?" Phaeton's voice came out as a little more patronizing then he intended, but his brother was not really noticing. He was busy shooting dirty looks at the group of Chuunins laughing under their breath at the pair.

"Just as long as you learned not to do it." Phaeton shook his head. Why did he even bother? It wasn't like his brother and sisteractually listened to him, and he swore they were taking shifts in order to be a pain in his a**. He hadn't gone one day without one of them showing up since he passed the Chuunin Examinations. He shook his head, and he decided that (with his brother there) he was not going to get any training done. He simply turned in for the day and decided to return to their Tea Shop and help their mother with a few sales. He left the training area, leaving his brother to tell off the other Chuunin for whatever he was going to tell them off for. As he arrived, his mom was there, gathering money from what appeared to be the last customer. She smiled, as he walked in. He was greeted by the familiar aromas of delicious and exotic teas. He decided to go upstaris and read a bit on medical techniques. At least, his dictators hadn't outlawed one of his favorite past times, reading.

Phaeton continued sitting in his room. He could not believe the events that had transpired earlier that day. He was absolutely seething that his brother had come to the Training Grounds in order to humiliate him like that. Who did he think he was? Phaeton laid down in his bed and looked to the right. Across the room lay his brother's bed. They only had a three bedroom apartment. So, his sister had gotten her own room, andtheir mother had gotten her own room which left Phaeton and his brother to share. Overall, his brother was a good roomate, but he was so obtrusive everywhere else. Phaeton closed his eyes, and he opened his mind's eye or extended his chakra sense. Apparently, his brother was still at that training center, and he was training with someone. He recognized the second chakra signature as his sister. So, they were conspiring to work in shifts at being a pain in his a**. He smiled. There was no evidence to back that up, but it was still a hilariously ridiculous thought.

"GAH!" He hated when his siblings used their telepathy jutsus in order to contact him, but she often did when he was in trouble. "YOU WERE USING ACTUAL BLOODY KUNAIS TO TRAIN?!" He didn't even bother to respond. These were often statements that were not meant to be replied to considering his brother would often intercede on their sister's behalf, so he simply ignored it. He sat up and opened his windown which his bed bordered and hopped over to the neighboring rooftop across the street. He decided that this was silly. He actually needed to train, so he would simply go to another training area. He chose one of the more removed training areas. As he neared it, he noticed a training marker. He quickly moved to the side. He felt that he was interrupting smeone's training area, so he skirted it. However, as he got closer, he noticed a rather nice looking young lady. He cocked his head to the side before approaching; however, he gathered (as he drew closer) that she was a Hyuuga and, by in large, those still were primarily in the Leaf Village. He decided to be congenial even though he was in a foul disposition.

"Well, hi there!" He waved his hand above his head, and put a smile on his face.

"Well, I am Yamanaka Phaeton, and I suppose I am here to train in a little bit of privacy, but I guess you were here first, so i suppose I should ask your permission to join you." Phaeton was rubbing his temple. His sister was screaming in his head about how stupid it was to use actual kunais to practice dodging techniques; however, he was a medical ninja and dodging was important to him. He would need to be an effective dodger if he were going to actually become one of the greats, so that meant he had to train with a modicum of danger. Phaeton smiled at this new girl, Aya. He really didn't expect her to say no to a training partner, but he figured it would be polite to ask her permission. After all, aside from being a ninja, he also liked to think of himself as a gentleman.

"Hehe....Well, I am actually trying to work on my dodging. you see........I want to become a medical ninja, and a medic nin needs to be really great at dodging things, you know? However, I am pretty talented in my own type of sensor abilities. However, I assume you are trying to going to use your own type of sensor abilities as you are a Hyuuga." Phaeton put his hand behind his head and laughed a little. He honestly was not sure how useful he could be to her in terms of sensory aspects. He really was only trained in the 'Mind's Eye of the Kagura'.

Phaeton smiled a little at Aya's request to learn about the Mind's Eye technique that he was proficient in; however, he knew that it was a rather hard technique to learn, and it would be practically useless to a byakugan user in terms of short range combat. In fact, the byakugan would be his bloodline of choice if he had a do-over in the terms of family, but he quickly shook that thought out of his mind. He did not hate his family for their peculiarities. He just wished that they stopped being so damn protective of him at every single turn in his entire life. However, that was no the subject at hand. Right now, he was going to attem.....Phaeton's eyes were drawn skyward. There was a messenger hawk about a hundred feet up heading into the Leaf. That was odd. Phaeton's eyes travelled, following the hawk. Usually a messenger hawk meant new missions or something like that. Phaeton turned back to Aya. He was hoping she had seen the hawk too. Phaeton was rather hoping to get a mission soon that didn't involve his brother

"Hey....Aya. Did you see the hawk? Wonder what message it was delivering." Phaeton was, at least, trying to hide his incredible want to know what was going on in the world and was hoping a mission could pop out of this.

Phaeton's heart leapt for joy. He didn't care whether she was doing this for him or if she was just genuinely curious about what the Messenger Hawk had to deliver. Either way, it was good news for him, so he let her lead the way to the Mission Office/"Super Highway of Total Information". He enjoyed going there often considering he loved missions, and he really enjoyed healing, so he often met fellow medics who had a few pointers on how to perfect his craft, but when they got there, the tone seemed rather solemn, almost worried. Phaeton broke away from Aya's grasp casually and started to ask around as to what the hawk had delivered. Some ninja told him nothing good. Some ninja told him that the message had not been decoded yet. Phaeton returned to Aya with a casual shrug of the shoulders. As a Chuunin, he had not found out much more than he already knew which was that the messenger hawk had, indeed, come this way.

"Well, experience is fine with me." Phaeton smiled at Aya, really genuinely curious if she would take this mission. He knew right off the bat that he would, but he was doing it more for the medical experience. Many devastated Villagers meant that there were bound to be plenty of injuries, or that is what he thought. He walked straight up to the man, and he took the scroll, opening it and reading.

"So, who plans to be on my team?" He smiled a bright smile, genuinely curious of who would be on his team. He needed to get a few things before he left.
